We are now in the Quarter Finals for voting. See post #43 for more details and matchups.

For a good while, I had put down all other video games with the exception of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Then one night, my friend called me up and I decided to pull out the antique N64 and Mario Party 3 and we played a few rounds and I must say that it was quite fun. Then I decided to pull out all of my old Nintendo Games and I was pretty shocked at what I found. First off, 28 out of 30 of my Nintendo Consule (Nes,Snes,64,GC,Wii) were N64 and GC. I have only 1 Wii game (Brawl) and 1 SNES (Super Metroid from VC), and also I'm not a big fan of handhelds.
Then I started looking over my collection and realized that I had some great ones, a few okay games, and practically no shit games. (I probably sold off all of the bad ones over the years). Now too make things interesting, I starting thinking of a voting competition in which a mass group of people, would agree (or not agree) with which ones I think are great and which ones I think are not so good. I only plan to vote as a tie breaker however.
This is where you all come in. This will be really easy. I'm going to post 8 groups of FOUR games (2 64/2 GC), in each. All you have to do is vote for which 2 games you think are the best. You do not need to justify your answers, but please try to be honest. Also, you do not need to pick 1 64 and 1 GC out of each group. you can pick both of either if you choose. Each day at 7 EST I'm going to count up the votes and then post the new groups and you will do the same until it is eventually down to 2 games. Also, please don't PM me your response. (Post within this thread, and I will count from there).
One last thing. Out of the 32 games, 28 are owned by me, that's why they are there and I picked what i thought were the best 4 games out there to try and make this a good comp.
The reason I do this on Smogon is because I assume that I am surrounded by several intellegent individuals who know their video games. So without further ado...

Round 1 (Pick 2 from each group.) Ex. Group A: 1 and 2 (just enough so I know what you are talking about)

Group A:

1) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
2) Mario Party (N64)

4) Viewtiful Joe (GC)

4) Phantasy Star Online: EP 1 and 2 (GC)

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
2) Animal Crossing (GC)

1) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
2) Pokemon Puzzle League (N64)
3) Tony Hawk's Underground (GC)

Group G:

1) Mario Party 3 (N64)
2) Banjo Tooie (N64)
3) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
4) Tales of Symphonia (GC)

Group H:

1) Super Mario 64 (N64)
2) Pokemon Snap (N64)
3) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)
4) Phantasy Star Online: Ep 3, Card Revolution (GC)

Can i pick only one game instead of 2 in a event where i hasn't played 3/4 games in a group or should i just skip it, and pass to the next group since i really can't judge games I'm yet to test out?

Group A:

1) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
2) Mario Party (N64)
3) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
4) Viewtiful Joe (GC)
I think obvious

Group B:

1) Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
2) Banjo Kazooie (N64)
3) Super Mario Sunshine (GC)
4) Phantasy Star Online: EP 1 and 2 (GC)
Was a little shaky on this one, i had only played banjo touie a few times but i heard it was great and it was my friends favorite game so that gets one. I had a hard time between Diddy Kong and Mario. In the end i choose diddy, now i was a little kid so i might have been easily satisfied with diddy but i remeber all those wonderful times i had with it at my cousins and the pain in my hands after playing it for a few hours straight.

Group C:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
2) Animal Crossing (GC)
3) Mario Kart 64 (N64)
4) Wave Race 64 (N64)
Metriod prime was an incredible game and became my favorite next to ssb after i first played it in fith grade( i'm surprised i don't main samus), it was so much fun i could'nt imagine not having it it was just so incredible. One of the best gaming experiences in my life. could'nt decide between animal corssing and Mario Kart

Group D:

1) Perfect Dark (N64)
2) Paper Mario (N64)
3) Resident Evil 4 (GC)
4) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (GC)
Resident evil was so intense and scary at one part,(the mini boss who sort of looks like a cousin from Alien) i didn't save this part in the game because that part was so scary i didn't want to play it again, ugh. I feel sily now, but it was so thrilling and adrenal pumping. Metriod Prime 2 was great too, but not as good as 1st.

Group E:

1) Ogre Battle 64 (N64)
2) 007: Goldeneye (N64)
3) Skies of Arcadia: Legends (GC)
4) Paper Mario 2: 1000 year door (GC)
Only played that game.

Group F:

1) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
2) Pokemon Puzzle League (N64)
3) Tony Hawk's Underground (GC)
4) Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)
Only played that game and it was really fun, no idea on others.

Group G:

1) Mario Party 3 (N64)
2) Banjo Tooie (N64)
3) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
4) Tales of Symphonia (GC)
Wait, i don't know if banjo touie and kazoie are differnent games? oh well. never played other games.

Group H:

1) Super Mario 64 (N64)
2) Pokemon Snap (N64)
3) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)
4) Phantasy Star Online: Ep 3, Card Revolution (GC)
i never played #4 but out of the three i played those were the most fun.

EDIT:
I haven't played a lot of the games i didn't vote for so i baesd my votes off of online reviews i had read in the past and friend feedback.

Can i pick only one game instead of 2 in a event where i hasn't played 3/4 games in a group or should i just skip it, and pass to the next group since i really can't judge games I'm yet to test out?

Yes, you can pick one or zero games if you choose. If a situation were to come down, where I needed to be a tie breaker I would do so. I obviously have played all of these games.

Group A:

1)
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
2) Mario Party (N64)
3) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
4) Viewtiful Joe (GC)
Man, i really wanted to vote Mario Party and then you give it a group like this?!:( SSBM is my favorite game ever and OOC is... OOC ah bah.

Group B:

1) Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
2) Banjo Kazooie (N64)

3) Super Mario Sunshine (GC)
4) Phantasy Star Online: EP 1 and 2 (GC)
Easy. Sunshine was good and everything, but it can't be compared to a game like Banjo Kazooie(The reason i bought my 360 when i think about it) Diddy Kong Racing was the game i bought alongside Mario Kart when i finally had enought money for N64. Nostalgia! Oh and it's also a whole lot of fun!

Group C:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
2) Animal Crossing (GC)
3) Mario Kart 64 (N64)
4) Wave Race 64 (N64)
Never tried the other three, even though i have the DS version of Animal Croosing, GC Version of Wave Race and Metroid Prime 2. Well Mario Kart 64 is superb soo it would probably win anyway

Group D:

1) Perfect Dark (N64)
2) Paper Mario (N64)
3) Resident Evil 4 (GC)
4) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (GC)
Never played the other ones which is really a shame...

Group E:

1) Ogre Battle 64 (N64)
2) 007: Goldeneye (N64)
3) Skies of Arcadia: Legends (GC)
4) Paper Mario 2: 1000 year door (GC)
Never owned Goldeneye, but it was a lot of fun in multiplayer:) Paper Mario 2 was also good even though i never finished it. Never tried out the other 2.

Group F:

1) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
2) Pokemon Puzzle League (N64)
3) Tony Hawk's Underground (GC)
4) Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)
Wind Waker is underated. Soo is probably Majora's Mask too, but i haven't played it to mcuh and Tony Hawk's Underground is the last good Tony Hawk game:(

Group G:

1) Mario Party 3 (N64)
2) Banjo Tooie (N64)
3) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
4) Tales of Symphonia (GC)

Wow, this is a good group. Too bad Mario Party 3 is inferor to number 1 and Banjo Tooie is inferor to Kazooie so i go with the last two i guess.

Group H:

1) Super Mario 64 (N64)
2) Pokemon Snap (N64)
3) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)
4) Phantasy Star Online: Ep 3, Card Revolution (GC)
Yeah thats right! Pokemon Snap over Twilght Princess! Indeed TP is just medicore compared to the other Zelda games, Snap was incredible fun (At least at that time)while it lasted and Super Mario 64 is fucking awesome!

Group A:
1) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
3) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
Group C:
1) Metroid Prime (GC)
3) Mario Kart 64 (N64)
Group D:
3) Resident Evil 4 (GC)
4) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (GC)
Group E:
2) 007: Goldeneye (N64)
Group F:
1) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
4) Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)
Group G:
3) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
Group H:
1) Super Mario 64 (N64)
3) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)

Going to give special regards to Prime 2, most people like Prime much better but this game has to be one of my favorite games of all time despite the cliche of light and dark.

Other than that Zelda is tied with MGS as my favorite series so most of these choices were obvious.

Above poster give me a break with the spelling, come on is inferior that hard to spell, and how does OoC translate to Ocarina of Time.

Group D is pretty though!, but i go with Perfect Dark and Resident Evil 4, even when i like the others perfect dark really blown my mind when it came out, and the multiplayer is still fun i get to play it a lot with a friend, we still love it, and i even ignore Golden Eye thanks to it (it's like a sequel to it, with lots of improvement).

Resident Evil 4 needs no explanation, i think it's one of the best games ever and i'm not joking.

The rest would be for me like this:

Group A:
1) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
4) Viewtiful Joe (GC)

Group B:
3) Super Mario Sunshine (GC)
4) Phantasy Star Online: EP 1 and 2 (GC)

Group C:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
3) Mario Kart 64

Group E:

2) 007: Goldeneye (N64)
(second could be anything lol)

Group F:

1) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
4) Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)

Group G:

3) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
4) Tales of Symphonia (GC)

Group H:

1) Super Mario 64 (N64)
3) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)

(never liked snap)

wow what a great idea for a thread. remind me or someone else to do a SNES one in the future

Group A:

1) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
3) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)

kinda obvious here

Group B:

1) Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
2) Banjo Kazooie (N64)

RARE rocked in their prime, and i bet im not the only one who thinks so. these are two classic titles. dont play the remake for diddy kong on DS, though... that shit sucks

Group C:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
2) Animal Crossing (GC)

this was tough, but i had to give the nod to the two newer titles. mario kart 64 just isnt very fun for me (in light of newer kart games anyway), and wave race was kinda dull. these two games are both very good

Group D:

1) Perfect Dark (N64)
2) Paper Mario (N64)

i never played the gamecube titles, but i know i enjoyed these two. paper mario is a knockout

Group E:

2) 007: Goldeneye (N64)
4) Paper Mario 2: 1000 year door (GC)

once again, the prize goes to the two games i actually played and enjoyed

Group F:

1) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
2) Pokemon Puzzle League (N64)

pokemon puzzle league? you betcha.

Group G:

1) Mario Party 3 (N64)
2) Banjo Tooie (N64)

heh, this is getting harder. party 3 was a rock solid mario party game, while tooie was a pretty good sequel.

Group H:

1) Super Mario 64 (N64)
3) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)

not much to say here. one ultimate classic, and another a very good title (at least on the wii!)

1) Super Mario 64 (N64)
2) Pokemon Snap (N64)
3) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)
4) Phantasy Star Online: Ep 3, Card Revolution (GC)

Group A:

1) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
2) Mario Party (N64)
3) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
4) Viewtiful Joe (GC)

Wasn't it obvious? These two are some of the greatest games of all time!

Group B:

1) Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
2) Banjo Kazooie (N64)
3) Super Mario Sunshine (GC)
4) Phantasy Star Online: EP 1 and 2 (GC)

Only picked the ones I played for a good amount of time, although Diddy Kong Racing was epic when I rented it, and PSO looked really cool.

Group C:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
2) Animal Crossing (GC)
3) Mario Kart 64 (N64)
4) Wave Race 64 (N64)

Only one I liked a lot. Never got into/played the other 3.

Group D:

1) Perfect Dark (N64)
2) Paper Mario (N64)
3) Resident Evil 4 (GC)
4) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (GC)

Same deal as C, but Paper Mario 1 is one of my favorite games of all time. I swear I played through it at least 10 times regardless of age. Hell I might do it again because of the time I have this summer (already halfway through Kirby: Crystal Shards in one day :naughty:)

Group E:

1) Ogre Battle 64 (N64)
2) 007: Goldeneye (N64)
3) Skies of Arcadia: Legends (GC)
4) Paper Mario 2: 1000 year door (GC)

Again, only one of this group I played. Skies looked ok. How am I going to pass up a Paper Mario game? Hehe.

Group F:

1) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
2) Pokemon Puzzle League (N64)
3) Tony Hawk's Underground (GC)
4) Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)

Only watched my bro play these but holy crap were they awesome. Beats the daylight outa the other two.

Group G:

1) Mario Party 3 (N64)
2) Banjo Tooie (N64)
3) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
4) Tales of Symphonia (GC)

THE CHOICES WHYYYYY. I chose the ones I liked a bit more (and actually still own). Mario Party 3's Duel mode was addictive and Banjo Tooie was just an epic sequel to an epic game.

Group H:

1) Super Mario 64 (N64)
2) Pokemon Snap (N64)
3) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)
4) Phantasy Star Online: Ep 3, Card Revolution (GC)

You do NOT deny the precious Super Mario 64. I only played Zelda outa the other 3 but pokemon Snap was sweeeeeet.

This thead brings back nostalgia. Ah the summer days of eating pizza and playing Super Mario 64 on the big screen TV...

Group A:

1) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
2) Mario Party (N64)
3) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
4) Viewtiful Joe (GC)

Duh.

Group B:

1) Diddy Kong Racing (N64)

2) Banjo Kazooie (N64)
3) Super Mario Sunshine (GC)
4) Phantasy Star Online: EP 1 and 2 (GC)

Sunshine is so underrated, I had a lot of fun with it.

Group C:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
2) Animal Crossing (GC)
3) Mario Kart 64 (N64)
4) Wave Race 64 (N64)

Prime was awesome. I didn't really like MK64, most of the time I played Diddy Kong Racing or Snowboard Kids instead.

Group D:

1) Perfect Dark (N64)
2) Paper Mario (N64)
3) Resident Evil 4 (GC)
4) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (GC)

Really awesome games here, but those two are the best in that list IMO.

Group E:

1) Ogre Battle 64 (N64)
2) 007: Goldeneye (N64)
3) Skies of Arcadia: Legends (GC)
4) Paper Mario 2: 1000 year door (GC)

I need to play Skies of Arcadia since it seems awesome!

Group F:

1) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)

2) Pokemon Puzzle League (N64)
3) Tony Hawk's Underground (GC)
4) Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)

Two great Zelda games here, especially Wind Waker.

Group G:

1) Mario Party 3 (N64)
2) Banjo Tooie (N64)
3) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
4) Tales of Symphonia (GC)

ToS is my favorite GC RPG, and Mario Party 3 was the one I had the most fun with my friends.

Group H:

1) Super Mario 64 (N64)

2) Pokemon Snap (N64)
3) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)
4) Phantasy Star Online: Ep 3, Card Revolution (GC)

Duh 2. Pokemon Snap was cool, but these two are just better. Never played Phantasy Star.

Group A:

1) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
3) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
Pretty obvious.

Group B:

1) Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
2) Banjo Kazooie (N64)
Picking between Banjo Kazooie and Sunshine was kinda hard but I enjoyed Banjo Kazooie a bit more.

Group C:

3) Mario Kart 64 (N64)
It's Mario Kart. I picked up Metroid Prime like two months ago but I got bored very quickly, never played the other two.

Group D:

2) Paper Mario (N64)
never played the other ones

Group E:

Never played any of these. I should get TTYD if I can find a copy somewhere.

Group F:

1) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
2) Pokemon Puzzle League (N64)
Tetris Attack for the SNES was amazing and Pokemon Puzzle League is basically the same thing. Picking between Majora's Mask and Wind Waker was difficult. There are things I don't like on both games such as finding the triforce shards in WW and the time limit in MM.

Group G:

1) Mario Party 3 (N64)
3) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
Awesome games but I only played the two I picked from this group.

Group H:

1) Super Mario 64 (N64)
SM64 is a classic, Pokemon Snap was way too short and I haven't played the other ones.

Group A:

1) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
3) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)

Group B:

2) Banjo Kazooie (N64)
3) Super Mario Sunshine (GC)

Group C:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
2) Animal Crossing (GC)

Group D:

2) Paper Mario (N64)
4) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (GC)

Group E:

3) Skies of Arcadia: Legends (GC)
4) Paper Mario 2: 1000 year door (GC)

Group F:

1) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
4) Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)

Group G:

2) Banjo Tooie (N64)
4) Tales of Symphonia (GC)

Group H:

1) Super Mario 64 (N64)
3) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)

Group A:

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
Real shame because in my early childhood I always played Mario Party with my neighbors and it was a ton of fun. I always stayed up to play LOZ at night with my sister, and it was a game I grew up on. SSBM was the reason why I got a Gamecube.

Group B:

Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
Banjo Kazooie (N64)
Diddy Kong racing was one of my favorite games. You can fly, drive, and hover? Sweet. Banjo Kazooie was one of the first platformer games I didn't want / need my sister's help in. And I was always scared of the gameovers.

Group C:

Metroid Prime (GC)
Mario Kart 64 (N64)
The first matureish game I ever got was MC, I felt so proud of myself in like fourth grade when i got it, I felt awesome. Also I was very scared of Metroids and wouldn't go near unless it absolutely called for it. Mario Kart is just another game you grow up on, except this one didn't have the blue shells always making you eat dirt.

Group D:

Paper Mario (N64)
Resident Evil 4 (GC)
Third grade was comprised of playing Paper Mario. Also just how Metroid Prime was the next step up for me, Resident Evil was the top. It was way different than the others, but it makes a great action game. Also I still can't stand anything that can one hit kill me, it still scares me.

Group E:

Ogre Battle 64 (N64)
007: Goldeneye (N64)
Ogre Battle is probably my favorite game on the N64 actually, it's pretty deep, and there is no way any gameplay through ends the same way. Goldeneye is another childhood fav.

Group F:

Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)
The only one on the list I really cared for was MM, I only played WW for a little, and I wasn't to much of a big fan of the others.

Group G:

Banjo Tooie (N64)
Tales of Symphonia (GC)
Banjo Tooie improved so much and made for an excellant sequel. I'm almost through ToS and it's fantastic.

Group H:

1) Super Mario 64 (N64)
2) Pokemon Snap (N64)
For Christmas my dad gave us an N64 with Bomberman and Super Mario 64 and it ended up being my first games ever, and after recently playing through Mario, it's a favorite for sure. I remember getting Snap thinking it was Pokemon Stadium, but even though it wasn't it was still fun.

Group A:
1) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
2) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)

Viewtiful Joe and Mario Party were fun games but are nothing compared to these two.

Group B:
1) Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
2) Super Mario Sunshine (GC)

Diddy Kong Racing is one of the best racing games I've ever played so far. Really enjoyable and a classic that everyone should play at least once. And Super Mario Sunshine was an over looked game that is actually pretty good once you play it. Never finished Banjo Koozie and Never played Phantasy Star.

Group C:
1) Mario Kart 64 (N64)
2) Animal Crossing (GC)

This was a difficult decision. Mario Kart 64 wasn't the best game but it had its perks. A great game for multiple people. A stepping stone for greater kart games. And I've never played Animal Crossing, but I've heard many great things about this game that made me wish I had gotten it.

Group D:
1) Paper Mario (N64)
2) Resident Evil 4 (GC)

No competition at all. Two of the best games in the history of gaming. I just recently played Paper Mario over and I'm currently playing RE4 for the 10th time. You can never get tired of these games. There is always something exciting about them.

Group E:
1) 007: Goldeneye (N64)
2) Paper Mario 2: 1000 Year Door (GC)

Another easy choose. 007: Goldeneye is simply one of the best N64 games to ever grace the console. Can be enjoyed by almost anyone. Paper Mario 2 is paper mario, which is a name of greatness. Why would you pass it up? :D

Group F:
1) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
2) Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)

Even though Majora's Mask was sometimes repetitive and tiring, it was none the less, a decent game. The game kinda appears to be a short game, but in actuality, it's pretty lengthy, if you try to obtain all the mask. Wind Waker was Ocarina of Time but for the gamecube. Amazing game.

Group G:
1) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
2) Tales of Symphonia (GC)

Despite the low ratings Double Dash received, it is the best Mario Kart game imo. Slightly better than MK: Wii. And Tales of Symphonia was just epic. No other words can describe it.

Group H
:
1) Super Mario 64 (N64)
2) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)

Super Mario 64 is a classic and will always be one. Probably still the best 3-D mario game to ever come out. Twilight Princess is much more enjoyable on the Wii, but both games are initially the same. Very decent game.

Group A:

1) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
4) Viewtiful Joe (GC)

I dont think I will ever understand what is so great about the SSB serie. Viewtiful Joe was a return to my sidescroller 2D love and OOT cannot be ignored.

Group B:

1) Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
3) Super Mario Sunshine (GC)

That was a pretty poor Group, I didn't play Phantasy Star and I couldn't get in Banjo & Kazooie. I also pretty much disliked Diddy Kong Racing as well but I played it a little more than Banjo.

Group C:

3) Mario Kart 64 (N64)
4) Wave Race 64 (N64)

Didn't play Animal Crossing and Metroid is not at its best in a 3D element...... imo. What the hell is an adventure FPS, there is NO fun in that.

Group D:

1) Perfect Dark (N64)
3) Resident Evil 4 (GC)

I love both games, very easy picks over Metroid again and imo a very bad spiritual sequel to Super Mario RPG

Group E:

1) Ogre Battle 64 (N64)
2) 007: Goldeneye (N64)

Perhaps I shouldn't have picked favorites here, as I did not play the other 2 games. I can safely say that after disliking Paper Mario, I probably wouldn't have liked the sequel. Ogre Battle 64 was not fantastic in any stretch, but decent enough for me to finish it. Goldeneye is fabulous.

Group F:

1) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
3) Tony Hawk's Underground (GC)

I have no love whatsoever for puzzle games and couldn't get into that particular Zelda game (Wind Waker)

Group G:

1) Mario Party 3 (N64)
3) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)

Tales of Symphonia is terrible. If at least the LONG first half of the game. It ruins it, what the fuck are human ranches, what is this Fire Temple, Ice Temple quest cliche shit to start off the game. Mario, whether in Party or Kart over this.

Group H:

1) Super Mario 64 (N64)

Didn't play Twilight Princess or Phantasy Star and didn't want to allow Snap to get my vote.

Nice job everyone. I went ahead and totaled up the votes and I'm going to put up Round 2 of this competition. * marks the games I would have selected and why.

Group A:

1) OoT* 12
2) SSBM* 11
3) Viewtiful 1
4) Mario Party 0

Many of you said duh and I agree 100 percent.

Group B:

1) Diddy Kong Racing* 7
2) Banjo Kazooie 7
3) Sunshine* 5
4) PSO 1 and 2 1

Personally, I agree with whoever says sunshine is underrated. i say that is the best game in the group. I would have to go with diddy second because you can play that game for a very long time and still love it.

Group C:

1) Mario Kart 64* 8
2) Metroid Prime* 7
3) Animal Crossing 4
4) Wave Race 64 1

Metroid Prime is EPIC. I never paid attention to sound and graphics in a game until I played Prime. Prime is so incredible and I would say that it is easily a top 20 game of all time. Kart 64 is also an obvious choice.

Group D:

1) Resident Evil 4* 7
2) Paper Mario 7
3) Prime 2: Echoes 4
4) Perfect Dark* 2

I'm def suprised that there isn't more love for Perfect Dark. not only do I think it's better than Paper Mario, I think it's a lot better. That is the beauty however with this competition. Freedom of choice. Personally, I though Paper Mario was kinda boring but I'm not saying it's a terrible game- far from it.

Group E:

1) 007 9
2) paper 7
3) Skies* 1
4) Ogre* 1

I'm kinda sad at the result of this group but at the same time I'm not surprised. Skies and Ogre are rare games out their plus their RPG's. If you are an RPG fan, however, I would strongly suggest picking these 2 titles up if possible. I believe they are the best RPG's for their respective systems.

Group F

1) Majora's Mask* 10
2) Wind Waker* 10
3) Pokemon Puzzle League 2
4) THUG 1

This is another category in which their doesn't seem to be much competition. The two Zelda titles are clearly superior to the other two games.

Group G:

1) Tales of Symphonia* 8
2) Mario Kart: DD 7
3) Banjo Tooie 4
4) Mario Party 3* 3

This was def the most competitive group in the first round because The last place game got 3 votes. Also, make no mistake about it; Mario Party 3 is Superior to every Mario Party game out there. I'd love to argue but that will have to be saved for another day. Double Dash gets a close 3rd in my opinion.

Group H:

1) Mario 64* 11
2) Zelda TP* 8
3) Poke Snap 2
4) PSO ep 3

Duh part 3.

Group A:

1) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
3) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
Any Objections? Two of the best games ever.

Group B:

1) Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
3) Super Mario Sunshine (GC)
Sunshine was okay, as was DK racing. I never played the other 2.

Group C:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
3) Mario Kart 64 (N64)
Metroid Prime is the best Metroid game ever, and Mario Kart is... Mario Kart, best racing series ever.

Group D:

2) Paper Mario (N64)
3) Resident Evil 4 (GC)
Not much to say, I just perfer these games.
Group E:

1) Ogre Battle 64 (N64)
2) 007: Goldeneye (N64)
only played goldeneye, not sure about ogre battle, but title is okay.

Group F:

1) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
4) Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)
It's fucking Zelda...
Group G:

1) Mario Party 3 (N64)
3) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
Mario Party 3 was great, as was any game in the Mario Kart series.

Group H:

1) Super Mario 64 (N64)
2) Pokemon Snap (N64)
Despite TP being on the list, I spent hours upon hours playing these games in the 90s, especially pokemon Snap... which I played for hours.

Round 2: i would say that their will be far fewer duhs and this is about to get to interesting. I apologize for double posting but I figure this way it will be a lot less to quote. Same rules as before: Pick 0, 1, or 2 from each group. Also, in case you are wondering how I set this up, the winners from A and B are now in a group C and D, etc, etc.

Group A:

1) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
2) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time(n64)
3) Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
4) Banjo Kazooie (N64)

Group B:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
2) Mario Kart 64 (N64)
3) Paper Mario (N64)
4) Resident Evil 4 (GC)

Have fun, lol

Group C:

1) 007: goldeneye (N64)
2) Paper Mario 2 (GC)
3) Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)
4) Zelda: Majora's mask (N64)

Group D:

1) Tales of Symphonia (GC)
2) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
3) Super Mario 64 (N64)
4) Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)

Happy Voting

I'm shocked for the lack of appreciation Perfect Dark got in the voting :/.

Group A:

1) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
2) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time(n64)
[even if i vote against these they will manage to pass xD]

Group B:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
4) Resident Evil 4 (GC)
[two masterpieces, sorry generic Mario games]

Group C:

1) 007: goldeneye (N64)
4) Zelda: Majora's mask (N64)
[one of the best FPS ever and one of my favorite Zelda's ever, kinda an underdog of the Zelda games]

Group D:

3) Super Mario 64 (N64)
4) Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)
[I would vote for Tales but i think Zelda is a better game, Super Mario 64 needs no explanation, it rocks this group face off].

Group A:

1) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
2) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time(n64)
Two of Nintendo's best.
Group B:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
2) Mario Kart 64 (N64)
Cmon? Prime and Mario Kart FTW!!

Group C:

3) Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)
4) Zelda: Majora's mask (N64)
It's Zelda... you're facing two great games here.

Group D:

3) Super Mario 64 (N64)
4) Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)
Oh yeah...

The first three were kinda duh's for me.

Group A:

1) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
2) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time(n64)
3) Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
4) Banjo Kazooie (N64)

I never got into Banjo Kazooie and while DKR is good, these two just outclass it.

Group B:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
2) Mario Kart 64 (N64)
3) Paper Mario (N64)
4) Resident Evil 4 (GC)

Like I said before I never really liked MK64. As for the other choices, I would have picked RE4 if I had played it myself instead of watched someone else play it. It was awesome, but I need to play it myself to give it my vote here. Hopefully that will be soon lol.

Group C:

1) 007: Goldeneye (N64)

2) Paper Mario 2 (GC)
3) Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)
4) Zelda: Majora's mask (N64)

Another list of great games. Goldeneye because its one of the games where I've had the most fun playing with friends. Wind Waker because it's just really, really awesome.

Group D:

1) Tales of Symphonia (GC)
2) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
3) Super Mario 64 (N64)
4) Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)

Ack. Tales of Symphonia is one of my favorite RPGs, so it gets my vote. Never liked Double Dash a lot. Now the choice between the last two was tough. I really liked playing Twilight Princess and enjoyed every moment of it, but I just enjoyed playing Mario 64 a bit more.

Group A:

1) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
2) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time(n64)

3) Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
4) Banjo Kazooie (N64)

Smash is smash and OOT is in no way over-rated so it was easy to pick those two.

Group B:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
2) Mario Kart 64 (N64)
3) Paper Mario (N64)
4) Resident Evil 4 (GC)

Prime was the game that got me interested in metroid properly because it was so good. Resi is an amazing gaming series.

Group C:

1) 007: goldeneye (N64)
2) Paper Mario 2 (GC)
3) Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)
4) Zelda: Majora's mask (N64)

So much of my time was spent on Goldeneye multiplayer, it never gets old. Used to hate Wind Waker until I played it a second time, looked past the sailing and found a great game.

Group D:

1) Tales of Symphonia (GC)
2) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
3) Super Mario 64 (N64)
4) Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)

This was a hard group. Deciding between Z:TP and M64 was very hard. Double Dash is one of the best mario kart games so that was a no-brainer for me. Zelda was more exciting to play imo, so it gets the nod instead of Mario, I also prefered Sunshine to 64 so that was probably a factor.

Round 2
Group A:

1) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)

2) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time(n64)
3) Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
4) Banjo Kazooie (N64)
I feel bad for ditching you OOC and Diddy Kong Racing:( This group is a beast!

Group B:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
2) Mario Kart 64 (N64)
3) Paper Mario (N64)
4) Resident Evil 4 (GC)
I should really try out RE4 and Paper Mario 64 soon. meh.

Group C:

1) 007: goldeneye (N64)
2) Paper Mario 2 (GC)
3) Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)
4) Zelda: Majora's mask (N64)
Wish i played Goldeneye more...

Group D:

1) Tales of Symphonia (GC)
2) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
3) Super Mario 64 (N64)
4) Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)
ToS issimply amazing, so is Super Mario 64. Indeed Double Dash is fun, but Mario Kart 64 is better. Twilght Princess is not a bad game, but i didn't like it too much compared to other Zelda games

Group A:

2) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time(n64)
4) Banjo Kazooie (N64)

Probably my two favorite games of all time right here, or at least on the N64.

Group B:

1) Metroid Prime (GC)
4) Resident Evil 4 (GC)

And if the two above weren't my all time favorite games, then these two definitely are.

Group C:

1) 007: goldeneye (N64)
3) Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)

I think Wind Waker is underrated. It is almost tied with Ocarina as my favorite Zelda title - but only almost.

Group D:

3) Super Mario 64 (N64)

I'm not voting a second entry in this group because first of all I've never played tales of symphonia, and then for the other two games, while they were definitely very good, very solid titles, they don't really feel comparable to any of these other games to me. They were good, but they weren't incredible.

I'm personally hoping for Metroid Prime to take it all, because I sincerely feel like it's one of the best games I have ever played (although I'm not going to lie, I think I might have liked the second one better). My second choice is Banjo Kazooie, just because it is just so memorable and distinct, and really sticks in my memory as a fantastic game.

Edit: and post 400!
