Machamp@leftovers
Ability:No Guard
Nature:Adamant
EV's 252HP/252Atk/6Spe
Move-Set
-Dynamic Punch
-Ice Punch
-Rest
-Sleep Talk

I have gone for the sturdier set as it destroys Bilssey which is the bane of Raikou. Also any Tyranitar that wishes to counter Raikou will face of against a pokemon that reists his STAB attacks Crunch, Stone Edge and Rock Slide with neutrality to Earthquake and then attack his 4x weakness to fightning.
This is not my starter.

Ludicolo@leftovers
Ability:Swift Swim
Nature:Modest
EV's 152 HP / 252 SpA / 104 Spe
Move-Set
-Rain Dance
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Grass Knot

I seriously like this pokemon so underrated people dont expext it. This combats what Raikou cant without hidden power grass namely Swampert, Whiscash, Mamoswine and Quagsire. Also with Rain Dance this thing can do damage in unsuspected teams.

Registeel@leftovers
Ability:Clear Body
Nature:Relaxed
EV's 252 HP / 56 Def / 200 SpD
Move-Set
-Hammer Arm
-Ice Punch
-Thunder
-Toxic

This covers the flying weakness i had and also covers a lot more weaknesses. Hammer Arm provides more power against Tyranitar and also hurts Porygon-Z, while maintaining the ability to hit Lucario and Heatran for super-effective damage.

Gyarados@leftovers
Ability:Intinidate
Nature:Adamant
EV's 212 HP / 16 Atk / 180 Def / 100 Spe
Move-Set
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Earthquake
-Taunt

Putting Registeel into play asks for a Earthquake so i predict an earthquake pull this out and if i suspect Starmie Earthquake or if i suspect a staus pokemon like Blissey and Cresselia i taunt or i could even get in a free Dragon Dance.

Blissey@leftovers
Abililty:Natural Cure
Nature:Bold
EV's 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpD
Move-Set
-Seismic Toss
-Softboiled
-Stealth Rock
-Thunder Wave
Every team need a wall and this is mine, sets up Stealth Rock for support and generally just passes status around.

Raikou@leftovers
Ability:Pressure
Nature:Timid
EV's 64 HP / 96 SpA / 96 SpD / 252 Spe
Move-Set
-Calm Mind
-Substitute
-Thunder Bolt
-Hidden Power [ICE 70]

The main pokemon in the team all the others cover his weaknesses. He often helps when people bring in their own pokemon to utilise Ludicolo's Rain Dance, sturdy anough Substitutes allow enough Calm Minds to put a dent in a team.

Thats the team over and now for improvements and critisisms. The more depth you can put he better. A table of weaknesses and resistances is below.

my starter is probably ludicolo if you could suggest another from my team and i will consider replacing earthquake with stone edge.

For Gyarados, Waterfall - Return is the best combo. Waterfall - Stone Edge is ok, if you need gyarados coverage, but Ludicolo surprisingly beats him with Grass Knot. You can also use Ice Fang - Earthquake, but I'd go with Waterfall - Return.

For the EV spread, the analysis spread is meh. I would aim for the next lefties number down, and enough speed to hit 244, so you can outspeed tar before a DD, and Starmie after one. The rest can go into Defense, wich still should give you 230+. The 16 Attack EVs aren't accomplishing much.

For Ludicolo, another spread to consider is 40 HP / 216 Speed / 252 Special Attack, with wise glasses or mystic water to optimize his sweeping capabilities. If you do use him as a lead, Lum is a great option, so you get that Rain Dance in. You outspeed Scarfchomp and deoxys with that spread, but lose some bulkiness. It's up to you.

For a Raikou team, toxic spikes help out a lot. Blissey loses to Raikou with Toxic Spikes on the field. Period.

raikou lover could you give some ideas for the ev spread for gyarados, i dont know the next lefties number down. As for ludicolo i would rather have that bulkiness, anyway i will try lum berry also and see how it works.

If i were to add a pokemon with toxic spikes what would i replace.

For toxic spikers: Tentacuel might be able to fill Ludicolo's or Registeel's spot or Forretress could go in Registeel's place.

Sorry, in a hurry. I'll look into it more later.

I unno, but I'd say a Heracross is going to rape the living shit out of you, as it can pretty much OHKO any given Poke, with a 2HKO at best. I'd much rather have Jirachi in the Registeel spot. It still has a good amount of resistences, lets you Wish your whole team, allowing Gyarados and Raikou more sweep attempts as well as Ludicolo longer surviability. And to help on with the Heracross, it can always Reflect, and it's Wishes will only make you more solid with Gyarados not having to worry about switching into the wrong move as much.

Of course this is all moot if you don't have a Rapid Spinner, so yeah, Tentacruel or Forretress over Ludicolo is probably the best way to go. Tentacruel could also be EV'd for max Defense and HP, which is a suprisngly decent Hera switch in, making it take 3 hits to KO it.
