Hi there !
I always (well...) wanted to make a FirstGenTeam, so here it is.
I'm using Pokemons from the first generation only, but with CO/AA movepools. Here it is, and I need advices :)
Basically, I'm building a Full Sweep Team. Why ? Because I haven't the material to make a Stall team, and I'm not good at SemiStall, so...
Here we go.
Changes from my original idea are in red. Just like this.

Aeroburst (Aerodactyl) @ Focus Sash
Ability : Pressure
EVs : 4 HP/252 Spd/252 Atk
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SpA)
-Taunt
-Stealth Rock
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide

Aerodactyl. A powerful suicide lead. It outspeeds everything that isn't scarfed (baring the unappearing Electrode...) and does its job effectively.
Taunt is for slower leads such as Swampert, and Stealth Rock HAS to be used. Focus Sash ensures that I can do my job.
Earthquake and Rock Slide are fillers "in case of", because after putting Stealth Rock, if I'm still alive, I'm going to sweep a bit :)
Aerodactyl's job isn't to live all the game, but to put on some Entry Hazards, as it was said. I'm using it on people's recommandations, because it seems that my team causes much switchs out.

Hollywood (Starmie) @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin

Originally, Starmie was my lead, but now she sweeps. She is an incredible sweeper on the special spectrum, thanks to it godly speed and amazing SpA. Surf is the STAB to hurt much things hard (2HKO on Rotoms and Scizor, which LOOOVE to come on me...), Thunderbolt is here to stop a Gyarados in its frenzy and to battle other water things, or Skarmory. Ice beam allows me to kick Gliscor out of the shield, + things lik MixMence in a rampage. Rapid Spin is here as a filler because I need not to have SR against me, because of Gyarados and Dragonite weakness to rock. Also, I'm not supposed to use it often if Aerodactyl has done its job correctly, but it protects me from mid-battle Spikes-users such as Skarmory or Forretress.

Raghnarok (Gyarados) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk/172Spd/86HP
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

- Taunt
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake

There is a poke I've always loved and adored and... Well, you understand I guess. Gyarados. This thing is an expected and powerful beast. A Warmachine, able to destroy entire teams. I'm playing an offensive Gyarados, because the RestTalk and bulky versions do not satisfied by in the past. Also, DD, Taunt and Waterfall seem to be necessary on every Gyarados. Waterfall is that good old STAB with flinch, and Taunt is here to avoid being Roared away, or T-waved...
The fourth slot is a bit harder to chose.
Here, I used to put Bounce, but the accuracy did not satisfy me, so I changed it. Stone Edge was not even thought, because I HATE its accuracy. Earthquake seemed to be the more reliable option with both base power and accuracy of 100.
Also, it makes me weak to other Gyarados, to Mence, to Celebi... :x
Adamant + this EV Spread allows me to hit 241 speed, which gets to 362 I guess, so it's enough to outspeed timid Starmie after a DD.
Maybe I can use Return over EQ ? I don't know.

Threesome (Dugtrio) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Sucker Punch
- Earthquake
- Aerial Ace
- Rock Slide

Dugtrio, my dear trapper. This thing always net one, two, or three KOs, as it kills things that Gengar cannot.
Also, it gives me an electric immunity, and it's useful, because Gyarados (and Staross) hate this.
Dugtrio's EQ is a 2HKO on Blissey, and 93.4% - 110.8% on Choiceband Tyranitar, two major Gengar's issues.
Sucker Punch nets KOs on ghosts and faster things in a "fast rampage" such as Outrageing-Salamence
Aerial Ace is here for Breloom and Celebi, but seems not to be so powerful, badly :(
It OHKOS Breloom, but does ridiculous damages to Celebi, which OHKOs in return.
My last slot is very problematic. I have no powerful move to hit Flying objects such as Salamence and Gyarados, and it's a filler. Any advice is needed.

Champion (Machamp) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dynamicpunch
- Payback
- Stone Edge
- Substitute

Machamp, a truck. Everything is said. This thing hurts like an enraged beast, and Dynamicpunch wreaks havoc in teams.
Payback is here for those annoying Gengar/Rotom, which are unable to OHKO thanks to my bulkiness, and Stone Edge is for Gyarados and Mence.
Bullet Punch is here as a filler, and to revenge kill "really weakened" things. I've thought of making Machamp a Bulkupper, but I don't really know what EV spread to adopt... Maybe I should remove Stone Edge for Ice punch, and change BP for Bulk Up ? Advices are welcome.
Honestly, I was dubitative when using Machamp, but after a few battles (2. :D) I saw that it is a monster. It can't really win a battle, but it can easily weaken my opponent's team.
Changed BP for Substitute, and it seems to work, as Machamp wreaks havoc on opponent's teams. Gratz !

Final Cut (Dragonite) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk);
- Dragon Dance
- Extremespeed
- Outrage
- Earthquake

Finally. The last one, and I needed a Dragon to conclude ! Dragonite is the only dragon here, and one of the bests. It's slower than Gyarados or Salamence, but packs so much power !
I don't know if jolly allows him to outspeed important things, so I run adamant + LifeOrb to pack as much power as possible.
Outrage is the overall STAB, which can end a fight brutally.
Also, I know that Extremespeed + DD can see weird, but it's so good it's not even funny.
I don't want him to go Mixed, because I'd lost too much power I guess...
Not much to say, advices are welcome, as usual !
Earthquake has replaced Superpower, as suggested, to kill those Metagross, Jirachi... And it still kills Tyranitar and Heatran, it's so good ! :)

Okay, it's finished. Time to rate my old team ! :)

If this were not a purely first-gen team, Salamence would be a far superior option to Dragonite in the last slot, packing higher attack and speed. I would swap out BP and Stone Edge on Machamp for Sleep Talk and Bulk Up, because this team hates status, yet lacks a status absorber/healer. Note that Paralysis wrecks every pokemon on your team except for Machamp, although Dugtrio does have a handy immunity to TWave. Also, you need a SR user as your lead. Your Dugtrio cannot reliably revenge kill TTar or Blissey without the rocks up, and there is nothing sweepers enjoy more than having their counters slowly worn away by repeated switches, and I will bet this team causes a lot of switches. I would put an Aerodactyl in as a lead, and move Starmie to the middle of the team, where it can survive and spin later in the game. I would suggest removing any of Dugtrio, Gengar, or Dragonite, as all of them do jobs that some other pokemon on the team covers already. Hope this helps, and best of luck.

Well, I loved the first gen too so I like this idea. However, I find that anti-leads just end up becoming useless and forcing a loss because of no entry hazards to help with sweeping. But thats just me. I <3 SR. But it seems cool. Imo put machamp first as it always gets confusion and drop bullet punch for something with a little more umph behind it, like maybe body slam for para chance.

You should give substitute a shot on Machamp. It can come in and force a lot things out and then hit the next Pokemon with whatever attack deemed necessary. Machamp is also fairly bulky.

superpower is pointless and counterproductive on dragonite. earthquake offers much better coverage against steel types not weak to superpower like jirachi and metagross but without the negative side effect.

Okay, I'll try EQ on Dragonite, that's not a good idea.
Hmmm... That's a GOOD Idea, did not thought of it ! :)
For Machamp i can test the following thing ? :
Machamp @ Leftovers (Life Orb ?)
252 Atk / 252 Speed (Adamant)
-Dynamicpunch
-Substitute
-Ice punch
-Payback

Is it a good idea ? :)

Because of Gyarados's moves and the fact that you have no real wall, may I suggest an EV change?

156 HP / 72 Atk / 96 Def / 184 Spe

This makes Gyarados an effective wall, as well as a sturdy tank.
It also stop OHKO's from Thunderbolts and similar threats. Also, you could change his nature to Bold or Adamant.

The idea of making him bulkier isn't bad and I love it, but I definetely want to be jolly + 252 speed to outspeed Starmie and kill it after a DD. Otherwise my team is nearly destroyed by the spinning star. :s

To outspeed non-scarf Spd+ Natured Starmie (Base 115 Spd+ users) after a DD while retaining the maximum ATK stat for Spd+ Natured Gyarados, I suggest the EV spread: 88 HP, 252 ATK, 168 Spd.

Okay, but with that 88 EVs in HP will I get some OHKOs turn to 2HKOs or 2HKOs turn to 3HKOs, my Gyarados being the victim, or not ?
Also, I thought that 252 Speed was necessary : Getting it to 252 and not 168, does it allow me to outspeed something else, that may be a threat for me ? (I'm not sure now :s)

There is no point putting Substitute on Machamp if it cannot set up, Machamp does not particularly care about most status(and if you take my Sleep Talk suggestion, it would care even less). Instead, I would run the following moves on Machamp: 1. Dynamicpunch 2. Payback 3. Sleep Talk 4. Bulk Up/Rest/Stone Edge Sleep Talk gives you a decent status absorber, and Rest makes Machamp an even better status absorber. Your team hates paralysis, so this is a role you need at least one of your pokemon to play. I also really think you should try out an Aerodactyl lead and replace Gengar/Dragonite with your current Starmie to make room for it. Good luck.

Dragonite is my lovely Dragon, reminding me of Peter, and he's rocked much teams, just like Gyarados in fact.
I think I'll try to put Aerodactyl as a lead, even if I don't know how to play it correctly, I'll learn :)
Gengar has to be replaced, even if it makes me sad...
I'll put Substitute on Machamp, and Ice punch to kick those Gliscor asses.
With Starmie + Dugtrio, I don't care of paralysis now :D
Also, Aerodactyl gives me another Taunter.
What movepool + EV spread do you suggest ?

About Superpower on Dragonite, okay but what will it give me that EQ does not give me ?
(Also, Extremespeed is an advantage that Salamence does not have :D)

Changes done in red. Time for more advices maybe ? :)
(About Gyarados Movepool : EQ or Return ?), per case.

You know, by putting 252 Spd EVs on Gyara is not necessary, since you'll only outspeed Crobat after DD. I suggest reading the EVs and Dragon Dance numbers here: http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/gyarados
