"Hey everyone, and welcome to a Normal Rank contest held in the BBP Contest Hall! Here today, we hope to witness breathtaking displays of Coolness and Toughness from our coordinators. But before we get to them, let's first introduce our lovely judges, shall we?"

Each judge walks through the aisle to their seat with their partner Pokémon while the audience goes wild.

"And finally, here are the coordinators that will be performing today. Give a huge round of applause for Helios, Ayush, and Maxim!"

As the coordinators step on stage, the audience goes wild for a second time. Some people wave posters. Others scream or faint.

"Now, the contest begins. Each coordinator will introduce their partner Pokémon to the audience, and then YOU will get to vote for your favorite unveiling! After the votes are tallied, we will then proceed to the next phase of the contest. Good luck to all, and let's have a great contest!"

Soon after the introduction ends, the lights go dark. Shadows can be seen shuffling around in the dark, until a bright light shines upon the stage. A large, narrow metal contraption has been rolled onto the stage. At one end of it, a mean looking sawblade looms menacingly. In it's path, a sturdy-looking plush Substitute doll is carefully lowered from above the rafters. After the plush doll is dropped the sawblade ominously starts to spin, then spins faster and faster, whirring at a dizzying speed. Then, suddenly, the sawblade rockets forward, mercilessly chewing through the Substitute before stopping at the end of the track! Now bifurcated, the two halves of the Substitute doll fall to either side, cleanly cut.

Then, two rocks are launched at the Substitute halves, knocking them off the stage. As the sawblade returns to the original position, a tall, lumbering Rhyperior shuffles forth onto the path of the sawblade.



A few members of the audience gasp, as the sawblade spins up again, and Rhyperior turns himself to meet the blade head on. Rhyperior lets out a mighty roar, and as if on cue, the sawblade launches forward again at breakneck speed! When it reaches Rhyperior though, instead of cutting through, Rhyperior is able to block it with his chest armor and outstretched arms. A battle of endurance soon follows, the might of Rhyperior against the momentum of the sawblade! Soon, though, the sawblade slows down, and eventually comes to a halt! A moment passes, as it appears that Rhyperior has not suffered so much as a scratch. The show reaches the finale as Rhyperior bashes the sawblade and it shatters into a million pieces!

Rhyperior takes a bow, having shown his endurance, and leaves the stage.

As Rhyperior left the stage the lights dimmed, a constelation of shadowy globes appeared above the stage, orbiting slowly and lazily in a graceful display. Suddenly a pokemon drops from the ceiling, diving through the globes one by one, causing them to vanish in a puff of smoke. The pokemon slows down, and you recognise it as a hisuian braviary. Now hovering, it flaps its wings mightly, causing great gusts of wind that ruffle the hair of the crowd. Then in a display of fine control it suddenly stops, hovering motionlessly with psychic prowess. After a few long seconds braviary drops to the ground, striking a pose to the applause of the crowd.

Oh no, times ticking!!!


Electivire comes on the stage & gives out a big roar, so big that the dim lights start to flicker!! The light then goes off, & he then uses his wires to create beautiful neon patterns on the stage!! He further showcases an electric discharge in bright colors, while also manipulating the color of glow sticks audience are holding!!

I swear I can't write good stuff when I'm panicking!!

"Whoops, that went on a little longer than expected. All of the votes have been meticulously tallied, so the winner of the Voting Phase is... Kellan the Rhyperior!"

"Hmm, the voting round ended just as I calculated... let's see something Cute! This will be vital data to collect..."

"Those Unveilings were so cool! Right now, I want to see something Cute, though."

"Certainly, these Pokémon were talented indeed. I would like to see more displays of Coolness if it isn't too much trouble."

Kellam's Opening Act starts as he throws a large rock up in the air, and then carves it up with a claw of shadows. When the performance ends, the rock lands on the ground, having been carved into a simple but elegant totem-like piece of art.
