Heya folks,
So here I am, editing my team and deciding which mon I should replace and who I need to keep. However, being as prudent as I am, I try to make sure I have enough coverage to keep the current threats of the meta under check. But, gadzooks! It feels like it's a lot of knowledge to keep in my head at once! If only there was somewhere I could write this stuff down, note who I need and for which threat, who covers what threat, etc. etc...
Now, being a quarter-of-the-way technologically literate, I CAN open up the notepad feature on my Macbook, but I must say, it's quite annoying because the windows always switch depending on which screen I have open. So if I'm typing on my Notepad app, and then switch to PS, the Notepad app goes behind my PS tab and, well, who knows what else from there? It's quite a hassle to switch back and forth, let me tell ya. Unless I minimize both windows to be small enough to where they can sit next to each other, but, gah, the ugliness of it all.
So then I thought of something brilliant. What if PS had a NOTES function on the homepage!? Simply open it up, as you would with any rooms suggested on the homepage (Lobby, Help, Tournaments, etc.), and a little textbox opens up, with all the neat nicknacks and doodads you would see here on the forum's post function, AND, an option to SAVE your notes to your account, similarly to how your teams save to your account based on your cookie usage and all that. That way, you can review your notes later and see where you were at in your brilliant thinking process!
Well, that's about it for my silly idea. Yes yes, I know there will be naysayers saying "Oh, well my dear Josh, a Notepad on the side is not a huge problem. You can simply open them up on your own computer!"
Ah, but dear reader, the thing that will make PS truly shine in a world of muddled forums and poor UI battle simulators is the CONVENIENCE of it all.
The Notepad function on PS, ideally, would be right next to your teambuilder page, similarly to if you were teambuilding and had a room open (Lobby, Help, Tournaments, etc.). You would make your notes, save them, don't have to switch between windows like my less-than-fancy Macbook, badda bing badda boom, you hit #1 on the ladder. It's a thing of beauty.
Naysayers, what say you? Yaysayers, please stand by to defend me.
