Also, I've been trying out a stall team that's been working pretty well (it's the standard Roserade / Milotic / Chansey / Spiritomb / Hitmontop thing). How the fuck do UU stall teams deal with Clefable? The fighter of choice (usually Hitmontop or Hariyama) eventually get worn down by Facades, and these Fighters cannot even OHKO Clefable with Close Combat when investing so heavily in defense.

Rest on Top is actually pretty common since stall teams with Roserade and/or Altaria carry Aromatherapy/Heal Bell. Stall Haryiama is always resttalk, or at least it's what I've seen. But anyway, Facade isn't killing Intimidate Hitmontop anytime soon, especially with Leftovers + Wish. Not to mention there are a lot of stuff that can just Roar Clefable out until it's the last one remaining. I seriously never had any trouble with it.

I've been using stall and have only resorted to using Shed Shell on Chansey, as I fiddled with my Roserade EVs to survive CB Dugtrio Earthquake after SR since my Speed EVs weren't doing anything notable anyway.

I've been using Donphan as a spinner as opposed to Hitmontop and I can easily say I find it much better. I can shuffle through opposing stall with ease thanks to Roar, since most Altaria / Chansey switch out of Donphan. They generally go to their spin blocker (generally Spiritomb) which takes up to 37.5 % from entry hazards and doesn't get Leftovers recovery, meaning upon its next entry it's at 25%, allowing me to KO with Earthquake. After that I can easily spin and outstall etc.

Also to deal with Clefable i run CM Spiritomb / Trick Scarf Rotom, deals with all Clefable variants generally.

wont froslass be retested it was only voted borderline by one vote and donphan is UU now to rapid spin

You make it sound like UU didn't have good users of Rapid Spin before. First of all, there's always been Hitmontop. Even Sandslash isn't all too different from Donphan when it comes to spinning; they both even have strong Rock and Dark attacks to hit incoming ghosts.

Anyone noticing the buttloads of Yanmega + Houndoom leads?

Can't say I've seen any Houndoom leads, but I HAVE seen a ton of Yanmega leads. I've been using a Swellow lead myself on my latest test team, and surprisingly it's been outspeeding some of them even after a single Speed Boost. Is it common for lead Yanmega to not run many Speed EVs when used as a lead?

Yeah, I don't run much Speed EV's myself, but that's b/c I've been running it as a mixed sweeper, plus some people run some Def so that it survives from priority moves such as Donphan's Ice Shard, Fake Out/Sucker Punch in general.

The way the lead metagame is shaping up, things are calling for Lead Gardevoir to come back in full force. Tracing Speed Boost = awesome.

but can gardevoir OHKO? I bet yanmega can OHKO back...

Yeah, lots of yanmega's are going bulky, I've been using a really bulky set with roost and u-turn.

Gardevoir can easily OHKO with Thunderbolt.

Also, its called Choice Scarf Gardevoir. This is the set I've been using lately:
~Psychic
~Thunderbolt (Clean OHKO on pretty much every UU flier without a secondary type that resists lightning)
~Shadow Ball (A nice number on Uxies, Mismagius and others)
~Trick

I had it EV'd to outrun Jolly Swellow ever so barely, maxed out Special Attack and dumped the rest in HP. The fun part is that many a Honchkrow never sees it coming and gets Thunderbolted before they can even lift a feather. Ofcourse, theres always the mindgame with Sucker Punch, but I found most Honchkrows go for insta-pursuit.

Also, thanks to Trace, Gardevoir outruns Yanmega at all times. Tracing Speed Boost is fun.

Yes the houndooms are EEEEEEEEVErywhere. I swear my first 4 battles in the ladder since i restarted were ALL houndoom leads.

On the other side I did find this; a max attack LO nidoking with a rivalry boost OHKO's duggy with sucker punch. It can be done with stealth rocks and a higher damage roll without rivalry though.

I'm finally able to play this weekend! Yeah!

Has Dugtrio been underwhelming due to overpreperation for it, or is it just not that good?

Personally i'm thankful that honchrow is back...even though now my ENTIRE team is honchkrow weak lol now there is more balance to the UU tier...It was honestly becoming just a huge stall-fest and started becoming overcentralized like OU...for teams like ROSERADE, rotom/spiritomb, steelix/ registeel, chansey, moltres/blaziken, MILOTIC...i'm not saying my team couldnt handle all those threats, but before the changes were made i faced at least over 10 different teams with those combinations, it was starting to not be fun lol...

Now with dugtrio and donphan...so far I havent seen a standard set for them yet, meaning i've just seen ppl testing the two of them out and trying different combinations with their team...so far dugtrio hasnt been effective because the metagame needs to find a shift, and donphan needs to know what kind of hits it can take and how strong it can hit back against the UU threats...and since honckrow is back i'm sure the metagame is going to undergo ALOT of changes...good thing stall teams wont be the best way to win now :D or who knows lol maybe they will...

And thank you Folgorio about that comment with TrickUxie hahahaha you were exactly on the mark, i defintely do use it like that...to continue on with that, the TrickUxie is designed to ruin my team's threat and be faster than sweepers trying to set up with thunderwave, or just trick them...

Oh, I don't know about that. Dugtrio all use either Life Orb or Choice Band, so it's rather easy to spot that. You can be assured of EQ and Stone Edge, and after that it's really just a matter of which two Dark moves it has.

As for Donphan, you pretty much always see EQ/Ice Shard/Rapid Spin/SR or Assurance. CB or leftovers depends, but you can count on that moveset fairly well, maybe with the odd Toxic thrown in there.

At least, that's been my experience.

I use scarf dugtrio... I can outspeed regular dugtrio's and is ev'd to survive an adamant choice band sucker punch after rocks and always OHKO 40 or less hp versions even w/o rocks. either way a choice duggy isnt safe since honchkrow is back in uu. (isnt really that safe w lo either, but Honvhkrow is essentially cherry picking when duggy is choiced) Not as useful as I had hoped since Dugtrio seems to be less impactful on the meta than I had anticpated, even before Honchkrow came back.

one of the safest dugtrio's i've seen is a sub LO variant...i'm sure we have all yet to see a dugtrio get worn down...its always gonna KO or get KOed, so behind a sub it's very hard for honchkrow to revenge kill...even though getting behind a sub is hard, it's easier when your about to kill a flying type who knows they will get KOed by dugtrio, so with good prediction go behind a sub then to see their counter, but this set i've seen on only two teams though

SubDugtrio is definitely an awesome set. So much stuff you can do with it. I first used it to block annoying Registeel Explosions and to revenge Absol without being Sucker Punched, but it's also good for Toxicroak, Honchkrow, Scarf TBolt Rotom, Nidoking (hi Folg), and the like.

Also, I completely disagree with Dugtrio being underwhelming. People are overpreparing for it, first of all. I admittedly do not have many problems facing it, but I have had great experiences using it. Its main selling point for me is the ease in which it eliminates Roserade.

Speaking of Gardevoir... it can Trace your opponent's Dugtrio's Arena Trap and immediately destroy it. It makes a pretty decent "counter" to Dugtrio, though obviously Subtrio beats up on it pretty well.

ya ive been seeing many but not much houndooms+yanmega

from i can tell the sub peyata variants make up most yanmega leads, and also the most annoying, they just wait untill the peyata boosts come and sweep your team from the start

but theres one thing that will happen:lead choice scarfers will be everywhere!
ive been starting to see anti lead houndooms already but no yanmegas as of date, looks like roserade leads have a new arch nemises
EDIT:no yandooms(yanmega+houndoom) that is,and also notice the surge of regibros being everywhere?

I've been seeing a lot more Houndooms now, but none of them as leads. Both physical and special variants too, which makes predicting a lot harder... But strangely enough, not a single one used Nasty Plot...

maybe because with the marjorly of sweepers packing super effective moves on houndoom, furthermore houndoom is too fragile to set up(damn regi bro!)

Um, how does Houndoom have trouble with Regibro?

Fire Blast Registeel and Dark Pulse Slowbro. Is it difficult? It has more problems with Milotic.
