The NU council likes to hear from you guys when deciding our next course of action. This will serve as the hub for when we announce that there's a community survey out for you all to fill out!

... conveniently, there's one out today! Click here to fill it out, we'll be closing it on April 13th at 11:59 PM EDT and deciding what to do next in the days that follow :)

Howdy folks, the NU Council has once again decided to put out a survey to get input from the community. Chandelure, Rhyperior, Munkidori, and Breloom have been subject to a lot of discussion lately, so we included them in here to judge the community's overall sentiment. We will monitor the results and use them to guide the future of the tier. The survey will remain open until Thursday, August 7, so please complete it at your earliest convenience.

Hello! We are once again asking for the communities feedback via a survey. Articuno-Galar, Toxtricity, and Reuniclus have all gained traction as potentially controversial elements of the metagame, and with NUPL coming up relatively soon we'd like to see how everyone is feeling about the tier.

The survey will remain open until 9th March, please feel it out!

Results from the most recent survey:

Articuno-Galar: 3.5/5
Reuniclus: 4.04/5
Dudunsparce: 2.5/5
Chandelure: 2.85/5
Grassy Terrain: 3.12/5

As a result, we have suspected Reuniclus. Articuno-Galar's numbers would normally justify a suspect test as well, so we will be keeping a close eye on this following the Reuniclus suspect. Similarly, Grassy Terrain's numbers are concerning, but slightly lower down the priority list for now.

Chandelure and Dudunsparce don't have enough support for action but will of course remain on the radar if the metagame changes significantly.

Enjoyability: 6.3/10
Competitiveness: 6.6/10

These numbers are a little lower than we would like and represent a drop from our numbers in March (7.2 enjoyability and 6.75 competitiveness). Hopefully the current tiering action pushes us in the right direction alongside potential future action.

Any questions or concerns let me know!

It's survey time now that NUPL is over and the metagame has had time to adapt from the Articuno-Galar + Terrain bans, as well as the tier shifts not changing anything. We have listed a wide range of options based on community sentiment on forums and Discord. The goal here is to get a full picture of the community opinion before deciding next steps (if any). Vote away!

Results from the most recent survey:

Scrafty: 2.61/5
Flamigo: 2.8/5
Dudunsparce: 2.9/5
Scyther: 2.7/5
Drednaw: 3.83/5
Houndstone: 2.2/5

Enjoyability: 6.65/10
Competitiveness: 6.75/10

I also took a cut of the results from players who played NUPL / have qualified in the recent ladder tour, to give these results:

Scrafty: 2.75/5 (+0.14)
Flamigo: 3/5 (+0.2)
Dudunsparce: 2.5/5 (-0.4)
Scyther: 2.88/5 (+0.18)
Drednaw: 3.89/5 (+0.06)
Houndstone: 1.63/5 (-0.57)

Enjoyability: 6.57/10 (-0.08)
Competitiveness: 6.5/10 (-0.25)

Some notes:
- Negligible differences between qualified and unqualified players, other than Dudunsparce and Houndstone dropping off noticeably.
- Enjoyability and competitiveness have not really moved since last survey despite tiering action on Reuniclus, Grassy Surge, and Articuno-Galar. There has been very little if any suggestion those bans were incorrect so the only conclusion is that further action is necessary.
- Drednaw is the standout candidate for action based on community sentiment (both qualified and unqualified) and was also the council consensus before the survey results were known. Stay tuned for next steps over the weekend
