And also, what simulator tier will this be played in? On Showdown, is it XY NU preview on that one guy's server? What is it?

And are Mawile/Scolipede/Mandibuzz/Gardevoir/Charizard/Kangaskhan/and the like banned?

This tournament is literally 5th gen NU, with an extra 7 pokemon from RU, it can be played on any server and all NU pokemon are allowed, as it is Gen 5 NU.
 
scorpdestroyer made an interesting post in the XY theorymoning thread and posted some replays. Since this minitour would not feature different pokemons per round I propose that you save or pm me a link to your saved match so when the tourney end we can have some sort of compedium of the "metagame".

I prefer that you save it yourself and show them by the end of the tourney :)
