NU? WTF is that?

Okay here's an pretty fun NU (yea i know, an NU team on smogon?) and its also my first. I made it pretty much off a whim so i'd like to improve it but i would also like to incorporate some UU's in there so i can play the more popular tier

In Depth
The Lead
persian.jpg

Persian @ Life Orb
Jolly Nature
Evs: 252atk / 252spe / 4hp
Moveset:
-Fake Out
-U-Turn
-Taunt
-Hypnosis
Lead Persian does great in NU. Basically Ambipom's cat brother, Persian can utilize Technician and STAB Fake Out to hurt the majority of NU leads. U-Turn is for scouting and Taunt is for stopping things that would like to set up. Hypnosis is a nice treat that can really help out the team if i need to take down a wall.

How it works with the team: Persian gives me priority, taunt and sleep while using taunt to ensure that Charizard can come in safely

The Supporter
hypno.jpg

Hypno @ Leftovers
Calm Nature
Evs: 252hp / 56def / 200spD
Moveset:
-Wish
-Thunderwave
- Reflect
- Seismic Toss

Hypno is a beast in NU hands down. This set is designed to support the team in some shape or form. Wish is my best option for recovery, Thunderwave slows down fast things, and Reflect makes Hypno a great all-around wall with max hp.
How it Works With the Team:Hypno can do several things to benifit my team. It can act as a special sponge and if i get a reflect up, a physical one too. Its ability does home in handy for anything that wants to put me to sleep and Wishes can be passed out to my team (especially Charizard if there are rocks up) to keep them healthy

The Special Sweeper
305.jpg

Charizard @ Life Orb
Modest Nature
Evs: 252sp atk /252spe / 4def
Moveset:
-Fire Blast
-Hidden Power [Grass]
-Air Slash
-Roost
This was o
riginally a mixed zard but finding myself always leaning to the special side brought me to making it 100% special. Max SpAtk and Spe for the best offense and 4 in def so i can take 2 Stealth Rock hits. Roost is for gaining HP back and if i can force a switch.
How this works with the team: Great special attacker that can definitely steal the show

The Spinner
Sandslash.png

Sandslash @ Leftovers
Impish Nature
Evs: 252hp/ 6atk/ 252def
Moveset:
-Stealth Rock
-Rapid Spin
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge / Shadow Claw
Well with Charizard on the team i desperately needed a spinner and sandslash seemed to fit the slot nicely. Stealth Rocks is nice always nice to have and with Sanslash's god-like defense in NU, can usually RS + SR on any physical attacker. Earthquake is STAB and coverage but with Stone Edge and Shadow Claw its a tough choice.
What it does for the team:It's two major roles are spinning away rocks and setting up rocks so that Rampardos and Charizard can sweep. His bulk and great defense help me scout out counters and fulfill his job.

The Scarfer
Manectric.jpg
Manectric @ Choice Scarf
Timid Nature
252spAtk / 252Spe/ 4Hp
Moveset:
-Switcheroo
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power [Grass / Ice]
-Flamethrower
Ok, ill admit it, i LOVE Manectric. It's just a cool pokemon. I have no idea WHY this isn't a smogon set because it works great, especially in NU. Switcheroo can destroy walls and open up Manectrics movepool a bit. Thunderbolt / Flamethrower / HP Grass gives pretty good coverage (only suggested ice because of Zard and not alot of bulky waters in NU beside Gastrodon). With a scarf i easily outspeed many threats and manectric has the sp atk to finish off weak oppenents.
What it does for the team: Breaks walls and is a great revenge killer in NU

So thats the team! Hope you liked this taste of NU so please rate it ;)
I would love to improve this team and improve it for UU usage so thanks guys!

The CleanUp
Rampardos32.jpg
Rampardos @ Focus Sash
Adamant Nature
Evs: 252atk / 252 spe/ 4hp
Moveset:
-Rock Polish
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Zen Headbut
Rampardos' 165 base attack is nothing to mess with. With rapid spin support focus sash works great on this glass cannon. Rock Polish is absolute essential to sweeping as Ramp has pretty lackluster speed. But after one, i outspeed anything non-scafed in nu and uu. Stone Edge is great stab but shaky accuracy. Earthquake gives good coverage and power and Zen Headbutt is quite powerful and hits anything else
What it does for the team:Provides a devastating sweeper that, after a rock polish, can only be stopped by something with priority or GREAT defense.

I think you should make Charizard Timid, because his SpeA is bigger than his speed, so you should prioritize his speed over SpeA. It allows it to outspeed other stuff.Manectric should run HP ice considering that Charizard already has HP Grass. Run Stone Edge over Shadow Claw for betta coverage. Roost is a bit gimmicky on Zard. More often than not pokes will be forcing Zard to switch. Thats why Roost is way to gimmicky, considering that it get wiped by priority, plus its x4 weak to SR, so it loses 50% Hp, so Sandslash is really covering for Zard. I'd change Roost to Focus Blast, or Dragon Pulse, but I'd choose Dragon Pulse, even though there arent much Dragons in Nu and UU, it can be MUCH more reliable than a shaky 70% accuracy. Even worse than Stone Edge. Dragon Pulse gives you a reliable way to hit anything, because steels get smacked with a Fire Blast to the face, and bulky waters get hit with a HP Grass.

I only have a few worries about your Rampardos.
The item Focus sash. I think maybe you should try Life Orb as the item. Also, Head Smash is Rampardos' most dangerous option and it should be utilized whenever think that Head Smash has better accuracy than Stone Edge.

Have you checked Ramparods' speed and defenses? they're pretty much non-existent. Any more i dont resist is pretty much a 1HKO so i'd play it safe with the sash seeing as i have spinner and wish support. I usually get ramp in with sash ready 80% of the time. And for the purpose this thing is meant to do, head smash would not work at all (its ability is mold breaker)

Just a few small nitpicks.

Change the 4 Def EVs on Charizard to HP, keep the moveset you're currently running, it is definitely one of the best, but it's up to you whether you decide to keep Modest or go for Timid. It depends on if you want to hit harder or to outrun and KO Leafeon, which Charizard can come in easily on.

For Manectric, I'd change your speed EVs to 176 and dump the rest into HP. This way you can achieve a little bulk and you still outrun Jolly Scarfape and, who is the most common scarfer in the tier (this also outruns Haunter, Magmortar, and Medicham).

Persian.. I don't really understand the point of Life Orb when you only have 2 attacks. I'd change that to Silk Scarf (20% damage for fake out, so 10% less) or Muscle Band (10% to all physical damage, so 20% less). That or replace Taunt or Hypnosis with Return. I guess it's a personal preference though. Losing 10% health for a weak attack like U-Turn just seems unnecessary.

Stone Edge for Sandslash definitely. If you are able to predict it, Charizard is KO'd on the switch in, and Charizard also switches into Dusclops and 2hkos without much trouble. Haunter dies real fast. You really shouldn't have Sandslash in on those 2 unless it's necessary, so Shadow Claw is a waste.
