Greetings everyone! NU will be conducting several retests from NU-BL within the coming weeks which have been nominated and discussed by Council. The process of these retests will operate differently to a normal retest, in a similar vein to that of RU.
Phase 1:
In phase 1 the chosen Pokemon to be suspected will be unbanned from the ladder for one week. At the end of the week, the NU Council will vote on whether or not the Pokemon in question should remain in NU-BL or if the suspect should move forward to a conventional two week public suspect test (as we did in late 2018 with Mega Abomasnow). Discussion on the phase 1 retests will occur in the "NU-BL Retest Discussion" thread. If a Pokemon moves to phase 2 of the process, a normal metagame thread will be created, as per normal.
Phase 2:
For a Pokemon to make it to phase 2 of the suspect process, it must achieve a minimum of 50% of the NU Council's votes during the Phase 1 council voting, in this case, 5/10. Phase 2 will be a normal public suspect test that runs identical to all the others NU has had this gen, and be run like any other suspect test in the past. This is the opportunity the community at large will get to decide the fate of the suspect. If a Pokemon is unbanned via public suspect, then the council will wait an undetermined amount of time before moving onto the next (it will ultimately depend on how influential the Pokemon is, but a baseline would be 2 weeks minimum.)
Note: This process will take time, and additions have the potential to be made to the retest schedule depending on how upcoming tier shifts unfold. (Though this is not guaranteed, nor incredibly likely.)
