Numel @ Eviolite
Ability: Simple
Level: 5
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 36 HP / 36 Atk / 196 Def / 236 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stockpile
- Flame Charge
- Body Press
- Rest
Although LC is typically known for being a fast, offensive tier, Numel finds a niche as a bulky crit-me-not sweeper. With Simple, Stockpile grants a +2 boost to both defenses. Numel can easily snowball out of control, becoming hard to KO after multiple Stockpile uses, especially coupled with Rest increasing its longevity. Numel is vulnerable to critical hits, as they ignore its defensive boosts, so Flame Charge is used to boost its Speed and attack foes first, denying foes the opportunity to land a critical hit. Tera Fighting boosts Body Press's damage and also removes Numel's weaknesses to Water and Ground, allowing it to get the crucial first boost. Numel fits best on hyper offense teams, where it can be a late-game cleaner once other setup sweepers such as Swords Dance Mienfoo, Nasty Plot Vullaby, and Tidy Up Minccino have chipped foes down and forced the opponent to Terastallize. On these teams, Impidimp can provide dual screens and Parting Shot support to allow Numel to set up easier.
