Very interesting the lack of Baton Pass imo. I think it's very potent, especially with Togetic because ya know bulky. Also, good job Mesprit for rising all the way to #1 :].

I find it interesting that Ferraligatr was the most used Pokemon during 4/5 season weeks (ferroseed week 3), and yet Mesprit had like Druddigon BW2 RU SPL tier usage in the finals :O.

I thought that it would be interesting to graph out the rise and fall of a couple of the top used Pokemon. Some of the trends are interesting, such as Dragalge's rise up to Week 3 and subsequent consistent drop down into Finals. Another thing that I found to be interesting was Mesprit's inexplicable rise to fame in Finals. As you can see, prior to that round it was waning at around four uses in a given week. Suddenly, it jumped up, which is especially interesting when noting that every other Pokemon's raw count dropped on Finals week. Lastly I thought Spiritomb's drop to zero uses on Finals week was odd. These are some interesting points to discuss. But yeah, there's a graph for the rise and fall of the top six Pokemon used in XY NUPL.

In the week 4 stats someone put Sceptile for 2 uses instead of Serperior.

On a serious note, while it doesn't really show on the graphic, Mesprit (which was always good) became popular when Shiftry left the tier, and is in my opinion one of the best Pokemon in the tier right now along with Feraligatr due to its great movepool (both offensively and support) and how versatile it can be (impossible to guess what it will run on team preview).

As for Spiritomb being used less, maybe it's just me, but I always felt like it was overrated lol. Sure it's a good Pokemon and deserves usages, but its loss in popularity in NUPL doesn't realy surprise me.

Oh and im 99% sure Ferroseed became popular because of the Ainsleys

EDIT: I also like how much Gothorita was used in BW2 NU. I remember back before XY came out we would rarely see Gothorita get a lot of usages on the ladder, but ever since SPL it has been getting lots of usage in tournaments games (and it deserves that usage as it is probably one of the most annoying Pokemon for Balance and Stall to face).

Hello? Why are people not catching on to how beautiful this thing is and how good it actually is :(
(also im pretty sure i was 3 of the 5 uses, also the fact that is the most used mon with a 100% win rate is pretty funny to me)
