Nuzlocke Challenge

Eradd, I suggest FireRed, if you want a challenge. Emerld has lower levels, and, unlike FireRed, a useful HM slave, that's common [Zigzagoon]

However, FireRed would give me someone to compete with... hmmm...

SNAKE is taking forever to train.

I'm still wondering what the odds are that Route 24 will give me a Bellsprout/Oddish/Venonat, to keep with the Mono-Poision... and, naturally, with a dreadful nature.

well I started this in emerald (screw platinum XD)
my curent team at rusturbo before gym:
wingul a.k.a. bird , adamant level 12 route 104
torchic a.k.a. chicken , sassy level 10 route 101
poochyena a.k.a. puppy , gentle lvl 10 route 103 (yes I was lucky to not encounter wild pokemon while I was walking to may)
zigzagoon a.k.a. flufy , serious lvl 10 route 102
whismur a.k.a. wishy (this was the first nickname I ever thinked off XD) , brave lvl 6 route 116

dead:
worm , serios petalburg woods cause of death critical while training)

I was lucky at one time when I was trying to catch worm my flufy got poisoned I ran to the pokemon center and I was standing in front of the nurse when it had only 1hp left and I said to myself : That was too close

OK I cba to make 3 more comics to fully portray my adventure atm, so a quick update will have to do. Don't worry though, I'll make some sort of image later...

OK Went off towards Rusturf Tunnel, caught me a Nincada named Claws and a Whismur named Holler. Lotad evolved into Lombre woo! Taught Nincada Cut, pretty bog standard.

EDIT:
2r6zn61.jpg

Heres the rest of my journey in boring form:

Sailed off for Dewford, and caught a MOTHERFUCKING MAKUHITA YEAAA!

Trained Lil' Mac the Makuhita, and trained Marill until it evolved into a mighty Azumarill. Caught a Magikarp in Dewford.

Now things got ugly against Brawly. I started off with Lil' Mac, and FO + Vital Throw Crit brought Machop down to red, when he healed back up with a Super Potion. Machop's Karate Chop had brought me down to half. Kept using Vital Throw and switched to Azumaill when he next healed. A continuous stream of Pure Power Tackles brought Machop down, and Meditite died trying to land a Focus Punch. And in came his Makuhita, and Bulked up as I switched to Lombre. Oh dear. Lombre got Vital Throwed to death while I got him down to 30% when bam his Berry healed him to around 70%. Lombre down :(. I then sent in Nincada, hoping to get some damage on him with Cut, and I got the 10% i needed, in exchange for Nincada's life. In comes my Whismur, hoping to get another hit in before his Vital Throw KOd me but HEY PRESTO he used Arm Thrust. Dead Whismur. Azumarill got a Water Gun off before he too succumbed to Vital Throw. But fortunately he was weak enough to be dispatched by a quick FO + Tackle.

What use is winning a war when you lose over half your army...

A challenger approaches!

Okay, I'm gonna try this... I'll be playing Emerald. I'll have a story to go along with it, though I doubt I'll have any art or anything... First 'real' post will come later, after I get something of a backstory decided upon.

Rules I'll be using are the same as in the first post.

Sigh...

SNAKE died to a crit while grinding.

Knowing Zu-Zu and Bulby couldn't beat Cloud's Pidgeotto, I committed suicide, and Restarted afterwards.

FireRed Nuzlock: Round 4!

Rules:
Catch First thing per Route/Cave/Dungeon
KO = Release
Only Evolution Items, and normal PokeBalls can be brought
No Healing Items to be used
No DayCare
No Breeding [No Issue in FR/LG until Post-Game]
No Intentional PowerLeveling. If it's unavoidable, then, fine
No trainer dodgeing

Phase 1: 0 -> 1 Badge!

Blah blah Rai and Cloud.

Because of Weedles, and poor past expeiances with them, [Round 2 failed because of them], I choose Bulbasaur just for the Poision Immunity... again. And Cut Assurance. Called it Sprout.

WARNING! A POWERFUL FOE NEARS!

Vs Cloud: Round 1
Shut Up Oak! Jolly Bulbasaur... ugh, -Sp.Attack, WHY DO I KEEP GETTING NATURE TROLLED!

Still I win, and go up to lv 6, seems like I have a high HP IV, as I got +3, from 20 -> 23.

Met a Rattata on Route 1 before pokeballs.

Route 22's Challenger Approaches!

Rattata!

Why is it never a Nidoran? Anyway, breaking the trend with Poision types, I catch Rattata, before training both Sprout, and Monty [Rattata] to lv 7.

Monty then dies to a Pidgey Crit... Deja Vu?

Sprout can't beat Cloud alone...

RESTART... 5th time lucky... 5th time no trolls?

Well, SERIOUS Bulbasaur, called OGRE out of annoyance, is a better-than-usual start.

Then, I crit Route 22's Mankey.

RESTART

The RNG is screwing me over without fail...

Round 6... will the RNG ever shine on me?

well im done with the gym my team is:
wingul a.k.a. bird , adamant level 16 route 104
torchic a.k.a. chicken , sassy level 14 route 101
zigzagoon a.k.a. flufy , serious lvl 14 route 102
whismur a.k.a. wishy (this was the first nickname I ever thinked off XD) , brave lvl 14 route 116

dead:
worm , serios petalburg woods cause of death critical while training)
poochyena a.k.a. puppy , gentle cause of death critical while training against a whismurs uproar
and a picture (I suck at drawing XD)

Update 5

The first part of this is being typed up many hours after I actually did it, so summary tiems.

-I get a Makuhita and name it ARCHIBALD!.
-I grind him to level 17.
-I take on the gym.
-PEWPEW died because he missed a tackle.
-RAEP dies to Brawly.
-I have to use a super potion unless I want to game over.
-New rule: Every item found that was not purchased with money except revives or X items is perfectly usable.
-New rule: Pokeballs can be purchased from the mart. Just pokeballs.
-I make FAMILY FIGHTS hip and popular.
-"Is it true FAMILY FIGHTS leads to HEROINE?" (I misread that and... Well...)

I am now going to find Steven without using Flash, because PROMOTION is the only one who can learn it and I already have cut on him.

Well this sucks. I'm bumping into everything, but it's worth it. I'm training SCABIES along the way, and he's raping the opposition. His only weakness is high level Makuhitas with Arm Thrust, so I have to switch ARCHIBALD! into them. Oh god, Arons too. Not like they can do anything to ARCHIBALD!, though. Arm Thrust always KOs.

THIS WHOLE FLOOR IS ARONS KJFRGNJKGDFJKNDKNJDFKJ

PROMOTION is taking a backseat so far. But when he gets Leaf Blade he'll probably be back on the frontlines. Bullet Seed is not a good attack. Anyway, I somehow make it to Steven with ease and get Steel Wing. Yay..? I get the hell out of that place. Wasn't even worth my time. But that doesn't matter, I'm going to Slateport now. And beating the shit out of these trainers with ARCHIBALD!. One of these trainers has a ZIGZAGOON THAT KNOWS SURF WHAT THE FUCK. I destroy this surfing Zigzagoon and ARCHIBALD learns Fake Out. Which is better than one might think, as I demonstrated on some guy's poor Wingull. I soon realize ARCHIBALD has a higher level than everyone else and promptly train my other pokes. I like how all the Azurils use Bubble and all the Marrils use Tackle. I kill all the trainers and get 6 Soda Pops for free, which I intend to use.

After I beat everybody up I go to Slateport and stock up on Poke Balls because I can. I then fish in the Slateport waters and find a level 10 Magikarp. I then crit him. Damn. But I will not give up. I fish in route 109 and get a level 8 Magikarp. I use Astonish on him ans throw a Premier Ball at him. I won! His name is PENIS OLOL. The exp share I went and got after catching him is now his new best friend.

Status

PROMOTION - Grovyle - Level 19
SCABIES - Whismur - Level 17
ARCHIBALD! - Makuhita - Level 20
PENIS OLOL - Magikarp - Level 8

Just started up a playthrough on Platinum, though unfortunately my DS wasn't charged beforehand so I didn't get too far.

Eliwood (Turtwig) - Level 8 - Serious - Route 201
Farina (Starly) - Level 4 - Quirky - Route 202

I'm naming them after Fire Emblem 7 characters since "defeat means death" is one of Fire Emblem's selling points as well.

If I wasn't already in Kanto on my HG game I'd run this. Next playthrough of ANYTHING I do will be this if it's still active.

Attempt #2, Update 1

Fun run this time around. I gave my Pokemon...er, "personalties" to help form a better bond.

Well, I started off by picking a Bashful Mudkip and named him FYNN. Almost lost tp May with a Treecko Pound hax. FYNN was very happy to beat its rival. Went to Route 102 and caught an Impish Poochyena and named him ZOROARK. Fought some trainers, killed their Pokemon, ZOROARK molested their corpses and got some EXP. Helped Wally catch his male Ralts and accidently killed a Marill in route 104.

Went into Petalburg Woods and found a Shroomish! I caught him and named the Brave little mushroom MANDALA. ZOROARK swept the Aqua Grunt's Poochyena depsite having about -4 Accuracy from Sand-Attack and did unholy things to the dead Poochyena corpse. Almost lost ZOROARK to a Nincada trainer, but he got a crit torwards the end of the battle with Tackle.

Went to Route 116 hoping to find a Taillow, but found a Nincada, which MANDALA killed for me out of spite. Trained MANDALA against the trainers and wild Pokemon in the Route. Went into Rusturf Tunnel and caught a Modest Whismur. I named him ROOKIE and left.

Went back into Rustboro and went into the Gym. MANDALA and FYNN handled the trainers inside, and FYNN Mud-Slapped haxed Roxanne to victory. Nosepass didn't even land a hit! Got my badge and went down to challenge May. Went back to Rusturf Tunnel and saved PEEKO, WROOAR. Her Wingull got FYNN down to 3 HP with Supersonic, but I did a quick switch to ZOROARK who finished the battle, and got his "spoils". I wonder where May keeps getting these Treecko...

Sailed to Dewford and accidently killed a Makuhita in Granite Cave. Damn. Fought my way through the cave where FYNN evolved into a Marshtomp, delivered the letter Steven and got Steel Wing. Not like any of my Pokemon can learn it. Thanks man. Decided to skip Brawley for now in memory of what he did to my mons last run and sailed straight to Slateport.

Arrived at Slateport, trained MANDALA on the beach and went to Route 109 and found a female Timid Minun. Caught her and named her ELLEI due to me misspelling ELLIE. Fought Team Aqua and their damn Carvanha in the Museum and moved on up. Trained ZOROARK until he learned Bite. Fought May with relative ease, but Supersonic gave me trouble again. Made it to Mauville after training some more.

Trained in the Routes around Mauville and both ROOKIE and ZOROARK evolved. Taught ZOROARK Rock Smash since Fighting/Dark is damn good coverage. Trained MANDALA and FYNN inside the Gym, and then swept Wattson with FYNN. Got my badge and TM and left. Headed to route 112(?) and caught a Quirky Numel named KRAKATAU (although I called him Num Num). Taught him Rock Tomb and ELLEI Shock Wave. Went back to train them agaisnt the Winstrates.

...Num Num and ELLEI died during the Winstrate battles... ZOROARK avenged them by killing the mons and mutilating the corpses for his sick pleasure.FYNN and ROOKIE mourned, MANDALA (who evolved into Breloom the same battle Num Num died) beat the shit out of the Winstrates and ZOROARK did bad things to Num Num corpses. FYNN Water Gunned him for that. Rest in peace guys.

Went back to get Strength and taught it to ROOKIE. Fought some trainers, went into Fiery Path where I found a female Koffing (ewww). Killed it by "accident" and went on. Got Secret Power and arrive in route 113 and found a Spinda, who I enjoyed killing for not being a Skarm. Trained some more, made it to Fallabor and moved on after healing. Caught a Bold female Swablu in Route 114 and named her ALISON (after Fishy). And that's pretty much it.

I have to go back and face Brawley eventually. For now, my DS is charging.

CURRENT TEAM:

emesprani259.gif
FYNN - 24 - Bashful - Route 101 - Water Gun / Bide / Mud Shot / Tackle - My team's veteran. Overall jolly most of the time, and somewhat shy. Gets along well with ROOKIE, has a sibling rivalry with MANDALA and hates ZOROARK.

emesprani262.gif
ZOROARK - 22 - Impish - Route 102 - Howl / Tackle / Bite / Rock Smash - Vengeful and perverted, although extremely loyal. ROOKIE gets along fairly well with him, MANDALA tolerates him and FYNN hates him. He is very tankish with Impish nature and Intimidate.

emesprani286.gif
MANDALA - 24 - Brave - Petalburg Woods - Mach Punch / Mega Drain / Headbutt / Leech Seed - As his nature suggests, he is very valiant, often fighting through the odds. Since he evolved, he has become my glue, often acting as a staller while I heal my mons in battle. Has a rivalry with FYNN, and is tolerant of ROOKIE and ZOROARK. Seems to have become fast friends with ALISON.

emesprani294.gif
ROOKIE - 23 - Modest - Rusturf Tunnel - Strength / Howl / Uproar / Astonish - He was very, well, modest as a Whismur and didn't like to battle at first. When evolved, he became loud, boisterous and quick-tempered, unlike his nature suggests. He is close friends with FYNN, and still a friend to the rest of the team. My major powerhouse too, but too bad he currently lacks special moves.

emesprani333.gif
ALISON - 17 - Bold - Route 114 - Peck / Secret Power / Sing / Astonish - She's new, so I don't know her well. She seems to be a trouble maker though, and has become fast friends with MANDALA. I expect great things from her. She needs training though.

DEAD:

emesprani312.gif
ELLEI - 18 - Timid - Route 109 iirc - Shock Wave / Helping Hand / Quick Attack / Thunder Wave - She was a kind but timid Pokemon, and often helped and needed help from teammates. She wasn't that strong before she learned Shock Wave, but then she started kicking ass. However, a Winstrate's Meditite surprised us with Hi-Jump Kick and killed her. She got along well with everyone except ZOROARK who scared the shit out of her. Rest in peace.

emesprani322.gif
KRAKATAU (Num Num) - 18 - Quirky - Route 112 - Ember / Growl / Tackle / Rock Tomb - He sadly didn't live long, but in the short amount of time we bonded. He was funny and goofy, albeit a little dumb. Everyone one the team liked him. Then, a Winstrate's Roselia got a critical Mega Drain and he died. ZOROARK avenged him in a blind rage. Rest in peace, buddy.

Ha ha I'm starting to become glad I did this in Generation II. No natures or abilities to worry about! That said, my Chikorita has just garbage IVs, except attack, which is a possible 31 (need to level up more). I think I might run Curse/Earthquake/Body Slam/Giga Drain if it lives long enough.

I also realized that my favorite Pokemon, Slowking, would be easily obtainable since I have a guaranteed Slowpoke coming at the Slowpoke Well. But I already said that I don't want to trade. What I may do is just Gameshark a Slowking once I get the King's Rock.

If it's in Gen2, you mean 15. They doubled the EVs in RSE (and added an extra 31st... so that pokemon with 100 base get 101 subs)

Part 1

-----------------------------------------------------

Hi! I'm Bidrane. I'm 17 years old. I grew up in Goldenrod back in Johto, but we're moving to Littleroot in Hoenn today. My dad got a job as the gym leader in Petalburg, so we moved here to be closer to him. Can't say I'm too impressed with the idea of moving, but hey, maybe I'll make some better friends... People in Goldenrod are assholes. Not that I blame them, it's just the way they were raised. But-- Oh! Looks like we're here.

So nice to be free of the moving van... Mom goes on for a while about how this place is so nice and quaint and how Dad bought me a new clock and so on... I go check out my room, and set the clock. Looks like my computer's set up, too... No mail, though. Looks like nobody misses me back in Goldenrod. Screw them. I head back downstairs, and Mom's watching TV already. Apparently we just missed seeing Dad on TV. Ah well.

I get sent off to introduce myself to the neighbors, apparently Dad's already made friends with some of them, so... I knock on their door, and tell the short and sweet story of how I came to be there. Apparently they've got a son the same age as me, and he's "excited about making a new friend." Sounds kinda creepy... Whatever, he can't be as bad as some of the people back in Goldenrod. *shudder* Might as well introduce myself, though, since I'm here.

I'm told he's upstairs, so that's where I go. ...But there's nobody here. There's a pokeball here, though... Wonder if it's real... *poke* "Hey! Who're you?" OhgodI'vebeencaughtIhopeIdon'tgotojailIjustgothere--"Oh, you're Bidrane, aren't you? Moved in next door, right?" Don't call the cops, I was just curious! "I didn't know that you're a girl." ...Ookay... "Dad, PROF. BIRCH, said that our new next-door neighbor is a GYM LEADER's kid, so I assumed you'd be a guy. My name's BRENDAN. So, hi, neighbor!" Well, he doesn't seem to have noticed that I was poking around his room... Hehehe... "Huh? Hey, Bidrane, don't you have a POKéMON? Do you want me to go catch you one?" Uh... Sure? Make it something cool. ...Wait, you're trying to impress me, aren't you? "Aw, darn, I forgot... I'm supposed to go help my dad catch some wild POKéMON. Some other time, okay?" Well, allright then... He wanders off, so I make my escape.

I stop by home, but Mom won't stop bugging me about not having introduced myself to Prof. Birch. He wasn't at his house, so... Guess I'll go explore the town a bit. There's a big-ish building to the South a bit. Wonder what it is. Sign outside says it's Birch's Pokémon Lab. Sounds like a good place for him to be. Only one guy in here. He says that the Prof. isn't around; Off doing field work or something. Mom won't listen, though... Off to explore more!

A little girl next to the path out of town says she hears scary noises down the path and asks me to check it out. Can't refuse such compact cute, now can I? I make my way down the path... ...This better not be who I think it is... A guy in a labcoat's getting chased around by a Zigzagoon(One of the few Hoenn pokémon I recognize). He calls out to me, saying there's a Pokéball in his bag. I check it out. There's not one, but three. I grab the one in the middle and chuck it at the Zigzagoon. Wait, what? A pokémon comes out of it... ...Is he expecting me to battle with this?! It looks kinda like a chicken, so... "Hey, you! Scratch it!" It leaps at the zigzagoon and claws at it. "Alright!" The zigzagoon growls at the bird thing... Whatever. "Do it again!" It's a vicious thing, it is, clawing at the zigzagoon with little hesitation. The zigzagoon is starting to look pretty rough. It growls again. "Keep it up, bird thing!" It leaps at the zigzagoon once more, going for the eyes. The zigzagoon passes out from the pain. The bird thing keeps at it, though... So much blood...

Prof. Birch grabs my attention away from the scene, though, and starts explaining what happened. The sounds, though... The sounds are horrible... Prof. Birch says something about me saving him and thanks me... He recognizes who I am, and pulls me to his lab.

He tells me that he's heard a lot about me from my father, and that I don't have my own pokémon yet. "With the way you battled earlier, though," he says, "you've definitely got your father's blood in your veins!" Then he tells me that he'd like me to have the pokémon I battled with earlier. He calls it a "Torchic". He asks me if I want to nickname it... The only thing that I can think of is the bloody scene from earlier... "Deathcock," I say. "...I see... ... ...Moving on!" Then he goes on to say how if I work at it, I have the makings to be an extremely good trainer. He says his son is also studying pokémon with him. He asks me if I think it's a good idea to go see Brendan. At the moment, I just want to go home, but... Maybe he'll let me vent a bit of this... I don't know what this feeling is... "Sure." "Alright, I think that's a good idea, too. Get Brendan to teach you what it means to be a trainer."

I stop by their house, but, of course, he's not there. He's nowhere in town. Great. I stop by home real quick, long enough to tell Mom that I'm going to go explore a bit farther out. "I'll be home by dinner... Don't worry about me." If only she knew what I'd seen... Telling her, though... Bad idea...

I'm attempting on LeafGreen, just got started.

Current Team:
Yoshi the M Bulbasaur (Lvl 12)
Air Force the M Pidgey (Lvl 12) (Route 1)
Jane the F Mankey (Lvl 10) (Route 22)
Disk1Nuke the F Ratata (Lvl 10) (Route 2)

Deceased: None yet

Badges: 0

Put me down for an attempt on LeafGreen, like Slyguy46. I'll post back with updates as they come :). I'm using Moot's rules, with the exception of the pokeball-buying one.

Part 2

I head out of town, trying not to look at the place where that scene happened... There only looks to be one way through this place, so I follow it through. I'm careful wandering through the tall grass, as there's wild pokemon there and I'm not ready for a repeat of the earlier scene... I manage to make it through without running into anything, and before long I'm in Oldale Town. A guy standing next to one of the buildings calls out to me... "Hey, you! I work for a pokémon mart! Can you come with me for a second?" I figure it can't hurt. He leads me to the local pokémart and tells me to look for the blue roof. He also describes their wares. I thank him for the tour, and head for the Pokécenter I saw on the way here. Who knows, Brendan might be there...

Who'm I kidding, he's not, of course... That'd be too easy. I poke around a few of the other buildings, but he's nowhere to be found. Guess I'll go a bit farther...

I try to head West, but some crazy guy grabs me. Apparently there's some 'rare pokémon's footprints' over here, and he's trying to sketch them. Whatever. Guess I'll go North more...

I take a step into the grass and -- Oh god, it's a dog(Poochyena)... I try to run, but it chases after me... I throw the pokeball holding Deathcock. "Dammit... I don't want to do this... Scratch, Deathcock!" The two enter combat, the dog retaliating with a tackle. This continues on for a while, until we manage to get away... Luckily, before another horribly gory death... But not for long... Another dog catches us, with similar results. Oh good, there's Brendan. He's writing down something, muttering under his breath... I come up behind him and tap him on the shoulder. "Eh? Oh, hey, it's Bidrane!" Out of nowhere he challenges me to a battle, supposedly to teach me what being a trainer's all about.

I don't know how, but we pull through, barely. I manage to call off Deathcock before lives up to his name. Afterwards, we start talking. He tells me that he can see why his father gave me the pokémon. I spill my feelings about what happened, and he tries to help me through it. "Look, those things happen. You did nothing wrong. If you hadn't stopped it, what would have happened when my father got tired and couldn't run anymore? He would have been injured, or worse. Pokémon die, some sooner than others. It's a sad truth of the world. It's sad that you had to see it that way, but it's already happened. Nothing you nor I do will change that, nor the many times it has and will happen. As a trainer, pokémon die around us every day. But we don't kill to kill, we kill to be able to stop those who /do/ kill to kill. Take some time, choose for yourself whether that's an acceptable difference. If it's not, nobody will hold it against you. Pokémon have the capability to be great friends, even in spite of the countless deaths. I have the feeling that you could befriend any pokémon with ease. I'm going to go back to my father's lab. Let me know what your choice is."

-------------------------------------------------

I did end up using a potion in the battle with Brendan, but only because I didn't want to end this so soon after starting it. I'll try to stick to the rules better in the future(Mostly by not buying any. This one was from the pokémart worker.).

Well, I epically failed. I started with Chikorita (M) named Ricko and then promptly die to a LV. 4 Rattata holding a Chilan berry. Ya. It sucked. So now I must restart

I am already on attempt #2 as well. My starter fainted against a rattata, and I forgot to nickname my Mankey. Oh well, I'll try again...

Part 3

I stop by the pokécenter on the way home, getting Deathcock ready just in case...

But I find shortcuts that bypass all the grassy areas. Looks like they're one-way, though. Too bad...

I make it home without incident, and tell Mom of the adventures of the day. I leave out the name, of course... She listens patiently, nodding as I get to Brendan and my's conversation. "He's a smart boy... Don't forget what he said. I'll support you no matter what you choose. Your father will, too. Let me know if you want to talk about anything some more."

I eat dinner and go to bed. I don't sleep much, but it gives me time to think. Those who /do/ kill to kill... Are there really people like that out there? I can't imagine the kind of people who can do that... But I do know that they need to be stopped. I fall asleep to thoughts of me stopping entire armies of murderous people...

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Morning dawns. As much as I hate to say it, I know what I'm going to do. I'm going to become a trainer... I'm going to kill... Not directly, of course, but it might as well be... I have no real justification for why I'm going to do this, only that I will not be one of those who kill to kill.

I head to Birch's Lab, intending to tell Brendan this. He's waiting right outside of the lab. I tell him what I've decided, and thank him. "It's good to hear that. My dad's waiting for us, come on inside."

Prof. Birch grabs me as soon as we enter. "So! If you're going to be a trainer, do you think you could help me? This is a pokédex. It records information about pokémon you catch, and has basic information about every pokémon known to be in existance." I accept his offer, and he hands it to me. Brendan hands me a few pokéballs. I thank both of them, and head off.

Mom catches me as I'm leaving. "I heard about your decision. You look good with pokémon. These are a gift, for our new trainer." She hands me a pair of running shoes. "Please be careful on your trip. I'll be here if you need me. Your father is is Petalburg most of the time. Stop by when you get there." I give her a hug, thank her, and begin my journey as a trainer.

Immediately, though, I'm reminded of what happened yesterday... But I push on. I have a purpose now, as vague as it may be.

I run into a zigzagoon almost as soon as I step into the grass. I keep my cool, and order Deathcock to scratch at it. Before it kills it, I call it off and throw a pokéball. I catch it on my first try. Lucky me. I name it Ziggy, and put the pokéball on my belt. I run into a Poochyena -- This pokédex thing is going to be very useful -- soon after, and Deathcock kills it. I move on quickly...

I'm almost free of the grass when I run into another Poochyena. That one goes down almost without a fight...

I stop in at the pokécenter -- It hits me how unfair this is... Domesticated pokémon get so much higher of a chance to live... But there's nothing I can do about it... I get my team healed and move on...

Last update for today, I think.

Update 6

I have destroyed everything with little to no effort. How? Hariyama. Voltorb used selfdestruct! ARCHIBALD! took 38 points of damage out of 110 and then OHKO'd Watson's Magneton! So yeah. I beat the entire Winstrate thingy without even getting hit with any attack via misses, flinchhax, and ARCHIBALD! OHKOing everything. Every time I think I'm in trouble ARCHIBALD pulls through. PROMOTION is now useless. He has 5 levels to go until he learns Leaf Blade. ARCHIBALD has 0 levels to go to kill anything and everything. I taught Shock Wave to SCABIES, so now he can take advantage of the Special Attack nature. So yeah. Go me.

Oh yeah, status.

Badass Hariyama
Struggling Grovyle
Whismur person
GYARADOS FUCK YEAH
A Zigzagoon I found. Named SWINDER because I could have found something fucking awesome on that route.

Well, I challenged it to Norman with a team of Anorith, Marshtomp, Breloom, Trapinch and Loudred (Mightyena and Swablu died against Flannery). I left with them all dead. Norman was tough, even with Bulk Up Breloom.

Well, time for round three. Going to use Treecko this time around and hope for better luck. Expect a death list maybe later, mayber never.

This seems like a fun idea. I've got an empty diamond that I don't really use anymore, considering I use Pearl for wifi and I haven't got the rest. :| Some questions:

1. Since I'm forced to kill the initial Starly at Lake Verity when me and Dave (my rival) are attacked, am I not allowed to capture any other pokes at Lake Verity?

2. Because of the GBA cartridge thing, I have emerald so if I go to Lake Verity with emerald in my GBA slot, am I allowed to capture the lvl 3 bibarel/staravia?

3. Suppose I go into Rt. 201 and catch the first bidoof and go to the pokemon center in Sandgem to heal up, and I go back to Route 201 and find a starly, am I supposed to catch that too?

4. In Eterna forest, when I have to go in it with Cheryl, and I find 2 pokes. Am I allowed to catch one after killing the other? (I'm pretty sure that in an in-game wild pokemon tag battle, you're not allowed to catch a pokemon if both of the wild pokemon are alive, but you can faint the pokemon that you don't want and use a poke ball to get the one you do want.)

5. For multi-level stages such as Mt. Coronet, do I have to catch one pokemon per level or is it one pokemon for the entire area? (For ex. do I have to catch one pokemon in the area where they're all in lvl 10s and another pokemon for when the wild pokemon are in the lvl 30s?)

Question about the rules: Let's say I'm playing this on HeartGold, and I catch a Bellsprout. Something bad happens and it dies. Am I allowed to trade the corpse to that guy for Rocky the Onix in Violet City?

'Sup? I'm doing this challenge on LeafGreen.

Story Time! ;D

NOTE - For the point of this story, the main character's mom and his rival's mon are the daughters of Oak, so he and his rivals are cousins. Also, The Main Character is 13, while Rival is 15.

Part 1 - New Beginnings.

  • Chapter 1 - Bulbasaur
This story starts with a young boy at the age of 13. His name is Daemon. He is seen playing on his Wii (Yes, I made the SNES a Wii. Deal with it.). In the wii is the game "Pokemon Recreation", which is basically a simulation of actuall pokemon. As you can tell, Daemon has always wanted to have pokemons, but could never achieve them, due to the fact that Pallet Town just HAPPENS to be issolated, the only way out is the tall grass, which REQUIRES you to have a pokemon. As he played, he couldn't take it any longer. He was going to rush out into the tall grass and get a pokemon. As he rushed down the stairs, he noticed his mom eating lunch. His mom hadn't heard him get down, and wasn't looking, so Daemon sneaks out. As he dashes towards the tall grass, an Old Man runs out, yelling "DONT GO OUT THEIR, THERE'S WHILE POKEMON OUT THERE!" tackled Daemon to the ground. Daemon remembered the Old Man as Profeser Oak, or as he knew him as, Crazy Oak. Oak stands up, pulling Daemon back on his feet.
"Daemon! Report to my Lab IMMEDIATELY!" yelled Oak.
All Daemon could do is walk impishly towards his lab. But when he got their, he saw 3 pokeballs on a table, and his Rival Desmond. He hated Desmond, ever since he was a kid, and Desmond hates him back. Both of them stood their, stairing at each other. Oak comes iin, breaking the silence.
"I have decided that you, Desmond, finally deserve to own a pokemon after gaining new logic. As for you, Daemon, I think you are brave enough to own a poekmon as well. Both of you may pick one."
I WAS going to get the Fire-Starter, but Desmond grabbed it first. SO instead, I chose the Grass-Starter. As I was going to leave, Desmond challenges me to a battle. Daemon wins, and Desmond flees. I decide to call Bulbasaur Tux.

I have gotten farther, but I am too lazy to post.

EDIT: Forgot Rules. ^_^"

Faint = Death, so Release.
Only first pokemon encountered in an area can be caught.
If I can't catch the first pokemon encountered, I am NOT allowed to catch another in the same area.
Nicknames are a must
No Pokemon = Game Over, Restart, ect.
No Items allowed. Period. (Excluding Pokeballs)
Must play SET (I think that is what it is called), basically, I CANNOT switch out as the Trainer sends out a new pokemon, only after.

Just posting to say that I'll be starting off the challenge in Pokemon Blue. The log will be in fanfic form and will be slightly based off of the Manga, but it will have some slight alterations.
