In any case, let's have a look at the teams. Emma brought a balanced team with Tentacruel and the rumored Alolan Persian as fast defensive options and Pinsir as an offensive juggernaut with priority. On the other hand, Espy has THE BEAST itself, ready to wreck stuff with Normalize. Oh, and Sableye and Kitsunoh, too, I guess?

Espy makes the first moves and sends out Kitsunoh, a solid choice due to high Speed and a wide array of moves, while Emma opts for Persian with a threatening Darkinium Z.
Losing no time acknoledging how tricky its opponent is, Kitsunoh first does the logical thing when facing such a Pokémon: calling it fat. Yeah, that works wonders. Persian angrily roars at Kitsunoh in retaliation, hitting it for solid damage!
With zero tricks to be concerned about, Kitsunoh can do what it does best: be annoying aka visiting the shadow realm. Of course, Persian misses its attack and Kitsunoh can strike without a care in the world... Huh? What's this? Persian's fur suddenly changed patterns and it seems to be moving faster?!
Before its opponent can react, it lets out another angry roar and Kitsunoh can only escape underground before cautiously striking from below.
Emma clearly has the advantage here in both HP and EN and just demonstrated how useful an Ability combination can be, but Espy can switch and regain matchup control, which could be crucial!​

Deciding Kitsunoh wasn't going to break through Persian, Espy sends out Sableye to regain some ground. The first action of this round is synonym of hope for Espy, as Sableye, fed up with its weird-looking opponent, channels all of its rage and damage and strikes Persian with it, bypassing everything the cat has in terms of defense and doing enormous damage! On the other hand, Persian still patiently uses its tried-and-true moves.
Sableye manages to land one last blow (raising Persian's Speed in the process) before falling to a Dark Pulse.
Now Emma is in the lead, but Persian probably won't survive next round, which may waste his turn ordering second.

Since preserving Persian to counter Kitsunoh would be wise, Emma decides to send in back in its Ball and Pinsir takes its place, immediately Mega Evolving and bringing offensive pressure!
Since Delcatty's Moon Stone greatly enhances its offense, Pinsir targets it first, but takes a zooming cat to the face before being able to react. Looks like Delcatty's making good use of that Speed!
Delcatty throws itself at its foe once more before Pinsir violently slaps it once to throw it away and then once more to send it flying back to its side of the field, hissing.
Delcatty then uses its incredible Speed to blitz toward Pinsir at a blistering pace, hitting it and leaving it (as well as the rest of the audience) too stunned to realize what just happened, before landing back on its feet with grace, a good five meters away, as if to provoke the bug.
I guess that's putting the "race" back into "damage race"?​

Switches in and switches out, Kitsunoh can enjoy a cat-free field while Emma sends out Tentacruel to tackle the foe.
Though Kitsunoh dances around Rocky Helmet with a clever use of Pain Split, it eats through its EN at a worrying rate. On the other hand, it regained HP advantage and weakened Tentacruel without taking too much Rocky Helmet damage.
HP pools are even, I wonder if Espy can go the extra mile and win the battle?​
