offence is the best defence RMT

Hey all at smogon i am back and am presenting my most brilliant work yet hope u like it and please rate comment and suggest any changes
ok so here is the lline up

THE Lead
Roserade@focussash (Raze)
nature timid
e.vs 4hp/252 atk/252 spd ability natural cure
moves
sleep powder
leafstorm
hiddenpower fire
toxic spikes

my team strategy is quite simple hit hard and fast and rack up some residual damage on the way but to do so I needed a good lead, this is where reserade comes in.Great speed and high sp attack with sleep powder renders many leads useless while toxic spikes causes poison to spread until someone rapid spins but i need not worry. also I have some stealth rock support and i cause people to switch quite often by the other guys i use who then sweep them.who are:

Metagross@ occa berry (noodle)
nature adamant
e.vs252 hp/236 atk/12def/8spd

stealth rock
meteor mash/bullet punch
zen headbutt/earthquake
explosion/thunder punch

high durability and awesome typing allows little to counter it well and with SR and toxic spikes running amuck people would think twice before getting in a counter and if not then are sweeped away,i would sr early or as deemed proper.with thunder punch i can cripple water walls and skarmory, with bullet punch or meteor mash rock types like tyranitar and ice like frosslas kills.earthquke or zen headbutt is a tough choice with quake i can defeat infernape, other metagross, heatran and steelix etc

Nidoking@lifeorb (purple kill)
nature naughty ability poison point
e.vs252 atk/168 spa/88spd
when facing walls i can use this diverse ground type to ko them
moves
T bolt
megahorn
earthquake
ice beam

this set uses his resistive typing to its fullest and forces lots of switches causing more havoc with toxic spikes and Stealth rock.t bolt hurts gyarados in 2 hits after sr damage, ice beam hurts dragons and dents if not ko them, megahorn is a pain for psychic types like cressilia and fragile ones like azelf etcwith good speed and earthquake for utility i can force unnessasary switches causing damage while i sweep .
the next three willl surely convince u of it.

the next guy is the staple of OU dragons
Salmence(Shuraiken)@leftovers ev100 hp/200 atk/116sp def/68 spd
nature naive
dragon dance
outrage
earthquake/flamethrower
roost/sky attack

wit this guy i can cause a lot of switches and a bulky ev spread allows it to last longer
The Dragon Dance set is one of Salamence's most dangerous options and is incredibly effective at sweeping towards the end of a match or breaking the mid-game wide open. Salamence is reasonably sturdy and sports a number of key resistances, including immunity to Ground-type attacks, so it should have no problem finding an opportunity to use Dragon Dance. STAB Outrage is extremely powerful and thus a fairly obvious choice; after a single Dragon Dance and with Life Orb, it is capable of at worst 2HKOing almost every Pokémon available in the OU tier, including the Steel-types that resist it. Earthquake complements Outrage well, covering most Steel-types such as Heatran and Metagross that resist Dragon; it also provides a good attacking option when Salamence isn't ready to use Outrage, such as during the beginning of a game.i dont know whether flame thrower is good or not bbut do suggest any other options.the next water type can also aid salamence in its sweep either before or after its gone

Kingdra@ leftovers (Zero)
nature adamant

Moveset
Dragon Dance
~ Waterfall
~ Outrage
~ Substitute
e.vs 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Kingdra now has two physical STAB options to go with Dragon Dance in Waterfall and Outrage, so this set takes advantage of these. Any user of Dragon Dance and STAB Outrage is quite fearsome, and Kingdra is no different. Furthermore, Kingdra can use its unique typing to set up on opposing Pokemon that are unable to do significant damage to it, such as Starmie, Heatran and Vaporeon.
Dragon / Water gives phenomenal type coverage, only resisted by Empoleon and Shedinja. When backed with STAB and Dragon Dance, Kingdra can be quite the impressive physical attacker. Substitute protects Kingdra from status moves that could otherwise ruin its sweep, and can help it set up on certain Pokemon such as Toxic Vaporeon. Although only a minor option, Yawn can replace Substitute as Yawning your opponent's first switch-in can result in forcing them to go to a Pokemon less equipped to deal with Kingdra (lest they allow their best Kingdra counter to be put to sleep). If they decide to save their Pokemon from sleep, Yawn has the added benefit of racking up residual damage on both opposing Pokemon. In addition, since their second switch-in to Kingdra will more than likely be unable to handle Kingdra to the same extent as their first, you might be able to pull off an extra Dragon Dance out of the deal. Leftovers is the preferred item as it allows you to recover damage lost from Substitute, as well as allowing Substitute to be used more times. Lum Berry is also a decent alternative though to firstly allow Kingdra to switch into Toxic Spikes without fear, or to prevent other status effects and the confusion from Outrage.
The EVs are simple and straightforward; maximum Attack and Speed with rest thrown in HP. This way Kingdra will at worst Speed tie with opponent Kingdra as well as Heracross. After a Dragon Dance, Kingdra will outrun base 130. its brilliant typing forces switches causing damage also substitute allows it to set up dragon dance easily.

the last guy, i know is terrible but not that much and since this team is for the up coming heartgold and soulsilver i decided to choose this.
his attacks counter many normal types such as snorlax etc and steel to melt. he is:

Typhlosion (gold fusion)
ItemChoice Specs nature modest
moveset
Overheat /solar beam/substitute
~ Focus Blast
~ Fire Blast / Flamethrower eruption
~ Hidden Power Ice / Hidden Power Grass / Hidden Power Electric
e.vs 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
A Choice Specs set is in order after recognizing Typhlosion's good Special Attack and Speed stats. Sadly, Typhlosion doesn’t get too many options in this regard. A well-predicted Focus Punch does the same amount of damage to Blissey as Focus Blast would, even with a nature hindering Attack, so it can possibly fill in the Fighting attack any suggestions on the attacks is welcome typhlosion can harm grass types, steel and normal types such as blissey.my team uses offence as a defense causing switches and hope u like it please rate comeent and suggest changes.hope it satisfies all

Hello. You have a lot of mistakes in your team, but we will help you fix them with some changes. There are 2 different ways to make your team work better as a whole and you will see this change.

First way is:

Remove Roserade from the team. Roserade is really just benefical to teams that really need it (stall) or things like Empoleon that have troubles with Waters. In this case, Roserade isnt serving for much really, specially without spin blocker. On its place, you should take Metagross in there. Metagross as a Lead is tremendous, being able to beat almost every lead out there, and not only that, but now your team wont be hampered as much because of Smeargle/Roserade/sleep leads. The set I suggest is:

Metagross @ Lum Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 200 HP/232 Atk/32 Spd/44 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Meteor Mash
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake

This set not only lets you beat a lot of leads, but it also survives Timid Fire Blast from max SpA Azelf, has a chance of surviving 2 Aero EQs, and also sets up SR most of the time. MM is generic STAB to hit hard. Lum Berry is the key since you dont get set-up on by Sleep Leads, but you will have to switch out from Infernape and Heatran.

Now, with a spot free, you can take it to have a Scizor in there. Not only it aids you with your insane Dragon weakness, but has overall good bulk and synergy with your team to work. BP is really appreciated since a DD Mence can sweep you easily. Sets I recommend are either CB Scizor (generic one) or Trapper Scizor. Trapper Scizor seems like the best bet since it will let you Pursuit Latias, Gengar, Starmie and company, that try to stop your Kingdra from sweeping thanks to Scarves.
Heres the Trapper set:

Scizor @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 Hp | 56 Atk | 184 SpD | 20 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit
- Roost

This set lets you take so many special attacks with ease, while having enough speed to beat most of other scizors and also enough attack to OHKO Mence after 2 SR switchins and U-Turn still hits very hard. Roost lets you tank with ease thanks to being a very nice way to recover.

Onto Nidoking. Nidoking is severely outclassed by so much things, and not only that, but everything you listed on the description can beat Nidoking. You lack a fast revenge killer, and you are really Gyarados weak. In its place you should try out Scarfed Rotom-A. It will work as your revenge killer and is also a great bulky pokemon thanks to a bucketload of resistances to play with. The set is:

Rotom-A @ Choice Scarf - Timid
4 HP/ 252 Spee/ 252 SpA
- Thunderbolt
- Overheat/Leaf Storm
- Shadow Ball
- Trick/Will-O-Wisp

Heres the deal. With Rotom, you can either pick the all oit offensive one, or you can pick the more bulky one. Bulkier one will let you switchin to Gyarados easilier since Waterfall wont hurt as much, but offensive one hits a bit harder. If you want to use the bulky Scarfer, just move half of your SpA EVs into HP, this will allow you to take Bullet Punches, U-Turns and Waterfalls better. Now, you can pick either Overheat to revenge kill Lucario, Scizor, Metagross and other steels that can trouble you, or Leaf Storm to beat things like Swampert, Tyranitar, and Hippowdon. On the last spot, Trick helps you vs Blisseys that may switch in, while WoW hits Scizors and Tyranitars, letting you escape.

Mence's set really collisions with Kingdra's. You also lack a way to beat Stall, so changing DD Mence to Mixmence looks like a good way to add more power to the team. The set is: Max Speed, Max SpA, 4 Att, with Naive nature (speed is very important), a Life Orb, and Fire Blast, Draco Meteor, Brick Break and Roost. Another way to take hits and recover again thanks to roost, while hitting insanely hard.

Last spot, Thyplosion is outclassed insanely. It also takes 25% from each switchin thanks to Stealth Rock. On its place you should use a Heatran, which is way better than typhlosion in almost every way possible. Check out Bloo's post for more info on the Heatran set.

Remember, this is 1 of 2 ways we have thought of making your team better. Bloo will post the second way after this post, so be sure to check it out as well, and pick the one that works better for you!

Without a lot more to add, good luck with your team!

Here is the second part of the rate that Rey promised ;)

Offensive teams such as this benefit much more from Spikes than Toxic Spikes. Toxic Spikes are usually used to slowly wear down Pokemon with a death inflicting poison so another Pokemon can dispose of them; however, Spikes instantly damages any non-Flying-type Pokemon or Pokemon that has the Ability Levitate, meaning it will be easier to kill something when you're launching high powered attacks such as Outrage from Kingdra and Salamence. With that mind, I'd consider using a Smeargle in place of Roserade.

Smeargle @ Focus Sash | Own Tempo
Jolly | 4 HP | 252 Def | 252 Spe
Spikes | Stealth Rock | Taunt | Spore

Smeargle is an excellent choice for a Spike user on an offensive lead as it's able to maintain a fast tempo during the time of a match while being able to lay down Stealth Rock and a couple layer of Spikes at the same time! With Spore, you'll sleep a Pokemon for a couple of turns, allowing you to set up some entry hazards as they are your opponent is snoozing. When your entry hazards have been laid down successfully, your sweepers will be able to blast through a team with their high powered offensive moves. Lastly, Taunt allows you to prevent Pokemon such as Blissey from healing. This is cool because it means it might be at low enough health for one of your special attackers to finish it off the next time it switches-in! Interesting fact -- The 252 Def allows you to survive 2 Bullet Punches from Metagross.

Now, with Stealth Rock and Spikes, it would be advisable to use a Rapid Spin blocker. The one I have in mind is the one and only Rotom-h. Rotom-h would tie up a few loose ends on this team. Firstly, it will allow you to handle the ever threatening Gyarados, Lucario, Metagross, etc. Additionally, it will provide you with a Rapid Spin blocker, meaning Pokemon such as Starmie and Donphan cannot simply come in and dispose of your entry hazards. Here is the set I recommend. I suggest this over Nidoking, since Rotom will help your team so much more by covering a variety of threats that you currently struggle against. With Choice Scarf, it will serev as an excellent revenge killer and check to many threats, so I would definitely consider it.

Lastly, Heatran outclasses your Typhlosion. Heatran has a plethora of resistances that Typhlosion doesn't have, mainly due to Heatran's Steel-typing. This means Heatran will be able to switch-in on a variety of moves with more ease. Furthermore, Heatran doesn't have that nasty Stealth Rock weakness, increasing it's durability significantly. Let's compare stats: Heatran's Base Stats: 91 HP / 90 Atk / 106 Def / 130 SpA / 106 SpD / 77 Spe: Typhlosion's Base Stats: 78 HP / 84 Atk / 78 Def / 109 SpA / 85 SpD / 100 Spe; so as you can see from the stats and what I stated above Heatran is arguably better than Typhlosion. I recommend Life Orb Heatran. LO Heatran literally destroys any Pokemon that doesn't resist it's main STAB move of Fire Blast (it even 2HKOes some Pokemon that do resist Fire Blast with SR in play such as Salamence!)

Heatran @ Life Orb | Flash Fire
Timid | 4 HP | 252 Spe | 252 SpA
Fire Blast | HP Grass | Taunt | Earth Power

Taunt is an interesting move on this Heatran. With Taunt, Heatran can prevent Pokemon that utilize status moves such as Thunder Wave, and prevents healing. -- if a Pokemon can't heal, they'll get worn down quicker, making it easier for another one of your Pokemon to pick off. Earth Power allows you to hit Tyranitar for a decent sized dent while hitting other Pokemon such as Heatran who like switching-in on Fire Blast for a swift OHKO. Fire Blast is basic STAB and toasts most Pokemon that don't resist it. Lastly HP Grass murders Pokemon like Swampert who enjoy switching-in on Heatran, meaning that Metagross (which I will suggest a set change soon) will have an easier time blasting through a team without having to worry about Swampert putting a halt to its rampage.

As Rey mentioned above, your Salamence set is a bit strange. Sky Attack offers little to no coverage despite gaining STAB. I support the MixMence change. With Salamence ripping things apart with Draco Meteor couple with Spikes, your opponent will be hard pressed to stop you. You'll also open holes in the opposing team, allowing Kingdra to clean up! if you do use Smeargle, having SR on Metagross is unnecessary. You could consider using an Agility Metagross. It maintains that offensive momentum you have going on while dishing out bucketloads of damage with its powerful attacks. Here is the set, it's the second one listed. As stated above, with HP Grass Heatran eliminating Swampert, Metagross will be able to wreck a team easier. The set is self explanatory so I don't think I need to explain it ;)
