Offensive Dual Weather UU Team.

Now firstly, I'm not really sure if this'll work so well. I've tried it, but it does need some fine tuning, although I'm not really sure how to do that, since UU is pretty wild.

Goal: The main focus of this team is to be able to counter any team using either Rain Dance or Sunny Day. It consists of a lead that can setup Rocks and both Weathers. It's more Rain-oriented, but it's able to function well in sun. Heavily offensive.

The Lead:

Uxie
@Damp Rock
Levitate
Careful - 252 HP / 252 Defense / 4 SpDef
- Rain Dance
- Sunny Day
- Knock Off
- Stealth Rocks
Anyways, this Uxie is bulky, meant to scout, and setup whatever weather I think can combat the opponent's team the best. Careful is so Knock Off does at least a little damage, and items are actually really needed on teams, and Knock Off is awesome for annoyance.

Now, the last slot, I'm not sure. Stealth Rocks are kind of a given on a lead, but I do want this Uxie to be able to at least scout a little. I'm not sure there.

Rain:

Ludicolo @Leftovers
Rain Dish
Calm -
204 HP / 76 SpA / 124 SpD / 104 Speed
- Rain Dance
- Leech Seed
- Surf
- Grass Knot

So, the Rain Wall. Rain Dish + Leftovers is great for walling. He's meant to switch in on a resist attack of course, then gain all the HP back. General annoyer, and helps get Rain Back up if needed for the next two Pokemon of the team.

Kabutops @Life Orb
Swift Swim
Jolly - 252 Attack / 216 Speed / 40 HP
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Aqua Jet
- Aerial Ace

Yes, it's standard. But it works. With Rain, STAB, and the boost from rain, this thing is beast. Waterfall for STAB, Stone Edge for Stab as well. Aqua Jet allows this to KO things late game, and allow it to still outspeed without the Swift Swim boost. Aerial Ace for the grass Pokemon that otherwise wall Kabutops.

Omastar @Life Orb
Swift Swim
Modest - 40 HP/216 SpAtk/252 Speed
- Surf
- Spikes
- Hidden Power Grass
- Ice Beam

Yes, Choice Specs Omastar. I don't need Rain Dance on him, as Ludicolo and Uxie both run Rain Dance. He is made to be a little bulkier than normal. Mainly just here so I can hit hard from the Physical and Special sides of things in rain.

Sun:

157.png

Typhlosion @Life Orb
Timid - 4 HP / 252 SpAtk / 252 Speed
- Sunny Day
- Solar Beam
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power Electric

Here we go, the sun part of this team. Can set up Sunny Day if needed. Generally just hits hard. Life Orb just to hit harder, as I found Leftovers to be a little bit useless on the 252/252 spread. It's pretty standard. Solar Beam in sun is epic, Flamethrower for STAB + Sun Boost, and HP Electric over HP Ice because I already have Ice on the Rain side of this team.

Tropius @Life Orb
Chloyrophyll
Jolly - 6 HP/252 Attack/252 Speed
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Aerial Ace
- Earthquake

The last Pokemon. Swords Dance Tropius. This team is heavily offensive, and Tropius helps with the Physical side of sun. Swords Dance up when you've eliminated threats, then procede to sweep. Aerial Ace over Roost because I'm going for offensive here, not bulky.

You have no wall. Ludicolo is an annoyance, not a wall. And uxie won't be doing much in that department either. Opt for Milotic or suicune instead of something if you'd like. They make good walls, and benifit from rain. ie. Hydro Pump Milotic.:D

I know that most of UU grass pokies are part poison but i still sugest X-scizzor over aerial ace on Kabutops becaus it will Work nicely against things like Ludicolo, Slowbro, Meganium etc.

othervice, nice tryout with this kind of team :). But I'm little worried about your team's overall strudyness... they say that offense is your best defence but in this scenario, I see having something more bulkier included in this team working better.

Well, yeah. To both of you, this team isn't really meant for walling. It's straight up offensive, no questions asked.

Offensive weather teams put a lot of pressure on the other team.

I really like the concept of this team - it seems well suited to deal with the weather-dominated UU, while still having all the killing power that both of the weather teams are known for.

I would suggest taking Stealth Rock over Knock Off on Uxie - a very offensive team could use some entry hazards, especially with the switches that using weather moves can cause. With such an offensive and high-speed team, I don't think you have to worry so much about Leftovers or Life Orbs.

Similarly, I'd suggest dropping one of the attack moves on Omastar for Spikes. 25% free damage on all non-flying or levitating pokemon makes your job a lot easier, especially because Swift Swim makes it really easy for Omastar to get Spikes up. Ancientpower hits Flying-types and fire-types, but Ice Beam hits Flying and Grass (and grass is important), and you already have Surf for Fire-types, so I'd recommend dropping Ancientpower. You're already running Life Orb on Omastar, so it shouldn't matter.

Good luck!

I'd see if you can slip taunt in somewhere. You'll be switching a lot, and you don't want the damage from spikes/rocks to rack up.

I'd say Tangrowth does Trophius' job better with its higher attack stat and stronger moves. I really feel like Typhlosion should be scarfed with Eruption over Sunny Day, and if you do opt for that go with an Exeggutor for a Sunny Day set sweeper.

Exeggutor@ heat rock/focus sash/LO or lefties if you want
Timid/Modest, Naive
6Hp/252SpA/252Spe
-Sunny Day
-Solarbeam
-HP Fire/Explosion
-Sleep Powder/Psychic/Explosion

(I also agree with mekminis' and Ekko's suggestions)

Your ludicolo wont do too well, its either an all out rain sweeper, or pure wall, any mix i can't see working. I have a ludicolo which i used in BT, not sure how well it would go in ubers but, it worked wonders for me.

Ludicolo @Leftovers
Rain Dish
Calm - 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe

- Rain Dance
- Leech Seed
- Toxic
- Protect

Or you can always opt for the special attacking one, which is probably the better option here, and Energy Ball > Grass knot, you want to be doing reliable damage, and reilcanth just eats grass knot up. So for SpA ludicolo run 252SpA and mix the rest in HP and Spe to outspeed what you want and still remaining bulky.

I also think tropius isnt the best poke, tangrowth fits much better.

I would suggest U-Turn over Knock Off on Uxie. It allows you to set up the weather of your choice and then get a switch based on their reaction. And since Uxie is relatively slow, if their reaction is to attack him you get your sweeper in for "free".

Over Tropius i would prefer Victreebell. This set is just better no sr weakness. More damage. Sleep Powder ,faster.
Here it is

[SET]
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Leaf Blade
move 3: Sucker Punch
move 4: Sleep Powder
item: Life Orb
nature: Adamant
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Victreebel's good Attack combined with Swords Dance and Sleep Powder is threatening for any team. Leaf Blade provides a great STAB move with a high critical hit rate, causing much havoc to most things after a Swords Dance. Even without a Swords Dance, Leaf Blade does a minimium of 85% to standard Claydol, and will 2HKO standard Steelix with a Swords Dance, even if Steelix holds Leftovers. Sucker Punch makes up for Victreebel's mediocre Speed when without sunlight, and will also cause serious damage to most Pokémon after a Swords Dance, easily OHKOing Hypno and Grumpig. Sleep Powder is a great move that allows Victreebel to set up with ease on sleeping foes and switches, possibly allowing for a few Swords Dances, meaning you can then sweep with Leaf Blade and Sucker Punch. Return however is a very reliable move that hurts Grass and Poison-types more, that can be used, but generally is inferior to Sleep Powder.

Thanks Twash for writing this.

I also strongly suggest U-Turn on Uxie so you can set up the weather more times and get more switches so you can get your pokies in for free.

I really like this team i tryed similar dual weather team which completely failed but i hope with my suggestion yours will be victorious. Good Luck.
