[SET COMMENTS]
Great Tusk is a solid offensive threat that doubles up as an entry hazard remover with Rapid Spin and a physical tank to fend off common attackers like Roaring Moon, Ceruledge, and opposing Great Tusk. Close Combat OHKOes Roaring Moon, chips Corviknight, Skarmory, and Mandibuzz, and nails Earth Eater users like Kingambit and Garganacl, while Headlong Rush highly damages Scream Tail and Primarina and most notably dents common Ghost-types like non-Earth Eater Gholdengo and Pecharunt, preventing them from spinblocking Great Tusk reliably. Either STAB moves also let it overwhelm neutral foes like Great Tusk, Swampert, Zamazenta, and Manaphy. Ice Spinner covers troublesome Flying-types like Zapdos and Landorus-T, dents opposing Great Tusk and Roaring Moon without incurring Defense drops, and gives it a way to hit Skarmory, Corviknight, Latios, and Mandibuzz if it forgoes the corresponding STAB move. Knock Off cripples walls like Corviknight, Manaphy, and opposing Great Tusk while also punishing Ghost-types like Ceruledge and even Earth Eater Gholdengo from spinblocking it. Bulk Up allows Great Tusk to go head-to-head against would-be checks like Corviknight and opposing Great Tusk and potentially sweep late-game, especially in conjunction with Rapid Spin's Speed boost to outpace fast foes like Choice Scarf Gholdengo, Zamazenta, and Chien-Pao. On top of stopping hazard-setting attempts from Garchomp and Ting-Lu, Taunt shuts down walls like Skarmory, Corviknight, and Earth Eater Pecharunt that it has a harder time breaking through and limits setup sweepers like Zamazenta and Earth Eater Iron Hands from getting out of hand. Scrappy exacerbates its hazard removal duty by preventing Ghost-types like Pecharunt and Earth Eater Gholdengo from spinblocking it freely, even letting Great Tusk pressure the latter with Close Combat. Fluffy makes it sturdier against the physical attackers it's tasked to check--even letting it stomach super effective hits from foes like Ogerpon-H and Barraskewda from full--at the cost of being more vulnerable against Ceruledge and Cinderace.

Great Tusk fits on bulky offense and offensive teams that appreciate its role compression. Its hazard removal antics makes it an effective partner with teammates like regenvest manaphy that are vulnerable to hazards. in return, these mons cna switch into foes like abc that can threaten it out.

fits on bulky offense and offense for its role compression
offensive teammates that deals with checks like moltres
defensive teammates for special attackers
defensive teammates to relief the pressure of checking physical attackers
these teammates can potentially forgo boots
