Offensive team based around the sweeping mexican

Hi,
I've decided to build a team which is based aroung my favourite Pokemon Ludicolo and because I don't like stall wars, I've come up with an offensive one that has resistances to each type.

My team at a glance:

______________________________________________________________

dpmba130.png

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 216 HP / 16 Atk / 178 Def / 100 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
-Waterfall
-Earthquake
-Dragon Dance
-Taunt

BulkyGyara is my lead. It does well against Heracross which counters my Ludicolo otherwise. Because of Electivire, it only fears Rock Attacks, namely Stone Edge from another Gyarados.

Electivire @ Expert Belt
Trait: Motor Drive
EVs: 252 Atk / 176 Spd / 82 SAtk
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def)
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Punch
-Cross Chop
-Earthquake

Electivire is my wall breaker because it counters Blissey and Skarmory effectively. Both of them would cripple my Ludicolo.

dpmba205.png

Forretress @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 162 Atk / 96 Def
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
-Gyro Ball
-Zap Cannon
-Stealth Rock
-Rapid Spin

Forretress gives my team Rapid Spin and Stealth Rock support. With Zap Cannon, it counters Gyarados. My physical wall.

Ludicolo @ Leftovers
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 154 HP / 104 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
-Surf
-Grass Knot
-Ice Beam
-Rain Dance

The core of my team. After a Rain Dance, this can easily sweep entire teams as soon as their special walls are defeated.

dpmba143.png

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 244 HP / 28 Def / 238 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
-Body Slam
-Crunch
-Sleep Talk
-Rest

STalkLax is my special wall (, but a more offensive orientated one than Blissey) and my status absorber. I need Shadow Ball here to counter Gengar which would otherwise run through my whole team.

dpmba445.png

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 6 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Crunch
-Fire Blast

Garchomp, my Revenge Killer. It resists Rock and Electric attacks, so it does well together with Gyarados.

I hope that I have covered the most of the threats of the metagame with this team. If not, feel free to replace a Pokemon except Ludicolo.

Thanks for your ratings!

PS: Of course I mean "Offensive team based around the sweeping mexican" in the title of this rmt.

Uhm, i dont think there are much Pokemon runningn straight over you due to Gyarados, Snorlax and Forry, while garchomp can always revenge kill.
Togekiss could be a threat i think, I dont know how much a Tb from Electivire deals though.
The only Problem i see is that you constantly lose health to Ss, Rocks and stuff, with no recovery besides the unreliabe stalk on Snorlax.
You could try a bulky Wishmence in place of Gyarados to help with that Problem.

i'm sure u know this, but no one besides ludicolo makes use of the rain.

maybe use thunder on electrivire?

your going to want a damp rock on ludicolo, it makes a huge difference.

Yeah i would say if your going to go around the rain dance idea at least throw in some more pokemon that can take advantage of it. Dont get so caught up in how your team can take an attack from any type or such, worry mroe about building up your pokemon rather than taking theirs down. I would suggest another swift swimmer, perhaps a pyshical one such as Kabutops. Also a sturdy Dancer is always nice, Theres tons of bulky waters out there, perhaps Lapras would suit your need.

No, you do NOT need damp rock on ludicolo. Being a faithful Ludicolo user, here are my suggestions:

I would recommend Life Orb or Mystic Water for Ludicolo, because it makes his surf OHKO more things. Damp Rock is completely unnecessary on a team that is not rain dance based, and Ludicolo really only needs 4 turns to do his damage anyway. I would also highly recommend changing his EV spread to this one:

40 HP / 216 Spe / 252 Sp Atk

Why? You outspeed standard Breloom before Rain Dance, but more importantly, you outspeed ScarfChomp and Deoxys-E during the rain. This is important because ScarfChomp can end your sweep pretty quickly.
