To be completely honest, i have no idea how this team got me my record, but it's done pretty well so far. Although i tend to have a lot of problems with Deoxys-E. Anyways, here's the team at a glance.
Team At a Glance
Gyarados @ Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 204 HP / 16 Atk / 176 Def / 112 Spe
- Dragon Dance
- Thunder Wave
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
Bulky Gyarados with a bit more Speed EVs than usual. 112 instead of 100 to outspeed those smart alecks that think putting 108 Speed EVs will give them the edge against my Gyarados. He's really a big help for this team because Intimidate can make a huge difference. You might be thinking, "Dragon Dance and Thunder Wave on the same set?". Yeah, and it works. Bronzong leads run away from this lead predicting a Taunt, only to get one of their other Pokemon paralyzed in the process. Waterfall is there for the STAB, and might also get me some luck alongside Thunder Wave for the ParaFlinch combo. Stone Edge is there so that Salamence can't boss him around.
Lucario @ Life Orb
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Extremespeed
- Bullet Punch
Yeah, it's Lucario. Can't believe i haven't been using this guy until this team was made. With 2 priority moves, and Life Orb to pack some extra punch, it can really save me while i'm in a pinch late in the game. Close Combat with a base power of 120, with STAB and Life Orb, makes it a deadly move, and with Swords Dance to boost it's Attack even further, it's much deadlier. Extremespeed helps me take out Pokemon that are quicker than Lucario, and Bullet Punch instead of Crunch so i don't feel bad about setting up a Swords Dance on the switch, only to find out that Gengar will kill me the next turn.
Deoxys-E @ Life Orb
Nature: Naive
EVs: 6 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Ice Beam
- Psycho Boost
- Superpower
- Thunderbolt
Couldn't find a Deoxys speed sprite, so this will have to do. Deoxys speed is an amazing Pokemon. It has a good movepool, and great Speed to take advantage of it. Although it's Attack stats aren't too great, Life Orb makes up for the difference. Psycho Boost leaves a big dent in pretty much everything (except for Metagross and Bronzong). Taunt is there in place of Thunderbolt so that I can Taunt Blisseys who attempt to cripple Deoxys, knowing full-well that Superpower is unable to KO that fat blob. Ice Beam is there for type coverage, and works well because without, Celebi walls me. Superpower is for Tyranitar and friends.
Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Nature: Timid
EVs: 6 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Hidden Power Ice
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt
Gengar is in pretty much every team i make, because somehow, i always lack a sleep inducing move. Also, it has 3 immunities that help quite a lot, and can force some switch outs against Choice Scarf users. Often, i play around with my opponents and pretend that it holds a Choice Scarf since they see no Life Orb damage. Anyways, Hypnosis is there so i can put a Pokemon to sleep and force a switch. Shadow Ball takes care of other ghost types, and at times Celebi, depending on how much HP it has left. Focus Blast is for Tyranitar, and Thunderbolt is for the extre type coverage.
Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Nature: Quiet
EVs: 252 HP / 60 Atk / 168 SpA / 28 Spe
- Substitute
- Dark Pulse
- Focus Punch
- Flamethrower
The well-known Tyraniboah. It sets up Sandstorm, and breaks walls. Strangely enough, i often use this thing as a Special wall.. with max HP and a Sp. Def boost from Sandstorm, it can take Special Attacks quite well. 252 HP EVs allow him to set up Subtitutes that are unbreakable by a single Night Shade or Seismic Toss. It's also necessary for Focus Punch. Dark Pulse is for STAB and takes care of Cresselia. Flamethrower enables me to OHKO Foretress.
Swampert @ Leftovers
Nature: Sassy
EVs: 188 HP / 180 Def / 52 SpA / 88 SpD
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Earthquake
MixPert really helps a lot, and although that's all i want to say, i know i can't do that ='( Stealth Rock helps break Focus Sash's, and 'causes a lot of damage in the long run. It also allows MixPert to OHKO Salamence with Ice Beam 100% of the time, assuming it's not bulky. Surf is there for the STAB, and helps him take care of Bronzong as long as it doesn't have Explosion. Earthquake deals damage to Tentacruel and other bulky Water types.
So, that's it. Pick at whatever you like. I'm open to suggestions as long as it's not use Blissey.
