This game came out today, and it is a good one :) Use this thread to discuss the game, post high scores, challenge people to online play, etc.

I am getting it for wii and I will make a friend code compilation in the main post.

Official Setlist

I will make this OP more elaborate over time, but in the mean time i need to go find this game somewhere xD

I kinda lost interest in the music genre, I'm trying to actually learn guitar so that's taking up my time.

I'll try to buy it if it's cheap but who knows what I'll do.

Also song creation looks amazing, that's my kind of thing, after playing Band Bros.

holy fucking SHIT.

Vicarious, Schism, Parabola, Pull Me Under, Hotel California, Today, BYOB... holy christ. I NEED this game.

edit THE EYE OF THE TIIIIIIIIIGER

My pre-order is coming through the mail, but what I wonder is of they were right when they talked about unlocking all the songs right away if you pre-ordered it.

Looks like fun, I'm anxious to play B.Y.O.B. and some Jimi Hendrix.

I got the game a few hours ago. It's a lot of fun. I heard Hayley Williams is a playable character, but I didn't unlock her after clearing misery business. I'm currently playing through the game on hard guitar, expert was a lot harder than in GH3.

I've heard that a lot of people are experiencing various technical difficulties with the drums for this game. Can anyone confirm if this is true? I'll get the game at some point regardless because of the awesome song selection (all 3 tool songs are excellent) but I was just wondering if anyone knew how the drums were.

I've been rocking outloud on Live and Career. 2 FCs for 5 songs played (Including Float on jackal!) and an 11-0 record on live

Man I really wish I didn't already own Rock Band and could justify dropping the 190 or whatever dollars to get this...

Misery Business, Beat It, and Hotel California are the main draws here for me

damn

Too bad I suck, hard, at Guitar Hero, or else I'd totally buy this. Beat it, eye of the tigar, go your own way, jessie's girl (!!!) Looks cool.

My Orange symbol doesnt work very well. I beat the crap out of it when i strike it...Moi, 2 FC's already? I find expert a lot harder in this game.

the only thing that's really bugging me is the exact timing required for hammers ons and pull offs. Rather then that the songs are a lot simpler (although if the hammers on weren't gay today, and the oasis song would be FC's too)

I bought RB2 instead of this because I can't play another game on a GH3 type engine. Besides the RB2 setlist looked much better.

been hearing a lot of negativity about the drums also, played it at a friends house and it was true: the drums were quite impossible to play do to them simply not picking up the notes.

I guess I will hold off on buying the game until this gets sorted out

ugh

Well generally it takes a few weeks of equipment sucking to realize whats wrong with the instruments and have the company stop making back ones. Remember when Rock Band came out and people were complaining about those? I think these things just need to have their run throughs like anything else thats new on the market. Thank god I only bought the game, I'd rather just play guitar anyways, and maybe borrow a mic from a friend if I feel like it.

expert is harder in this game? wtf, i've never been able to get past the next to last gh3 tier...

i was thinking of holding off on drums and just gettin the game. or actually renting it first. some bitch already took the only copy at the local blockbuster though. :(

you can just use rock band drums btw. you don't have to drop an extra penny for any instrument if you already have rb stuff, iirc.

also anyone else fucking love paramore and the fact that they are on both gh4 and rb2?

beat it, paramore, and hotel california man...and the fact that you can download user created songs is just insane. seriously, that is the only reason i'm relegating rb2 to my "maybe i'll get it" option, instead of gh4. i'll give it a week before we see various nintendo themes pop up. i would TOTALLY play gh version of pokemon center, any route, any town, anything.

and yes i'm going to call it gh4 because its one symbol easier.

Hmm One Armed Scissor, Obstacle 1 and L'Via L'viaquez. Not enough to gain my purchase I'm afraid. I'll just have to play these songs at the house of one of my friends who undoubtedly gets this.

A surprisingly good list. Dinosaur Jr. , Tool, Silversun Pickups, Joe Satriani and Dream Theater are what I'm looking forward to.

I can't wait for this game. I think its released in about a month in Australia. They could've chosen a better Muse song than Assassin though!

I can't find a source, but an program online will be allow you to adjust the sensitivity on multiple aspects of your drums, each pad separately, to fix the problems with reading hits. It will be coming out in the next 2 weeks or so iirc. And for rekt, the engine is much closer to GH:A and GH2, so don't let that affect your decision.

If you have the 360 or PS3 drums, change the batteries it came with. 80% of the time that is the problem and will solve it from what I have heard.

EDIT: Just now I realized I read your post wrong, rekt. I somehow read it as you saying you were planning on getting rb2 instead of you buying it already. My bad, mate.
