Official Halo 3 Thread

The only thing that I was dissapointed with in v7 was that there weren't any Sandbox forge maps included. The MLG community has spent months working on these maps, and honestly the gameplay on some of them is better than any actual map that Bungie made. Might have been due to the fact that at this point in the season, it's hard to totally revamp the gametypes.

Also I'm looking into a team that can place Top 40 at Orlando, because I think I'm going to be going. I'm going to start running games with Slippin C, who you might have heard of, and Common, who was on one of the most hyped AM teams in Dallas but didn't live up to it at all.

haha was Common on the team that was hyped to easily get through open but they ended up placing top 250? In any case, gl with the team.
 
heretic is awesome. while i haven't had the chance to play it, i've watched tons of gameplay on it and the geometry is flawless.
 
I've watched some vids and that I just can't get used to Heretic. If Onslaught was made to replace Midship, then why isn't Heretic replacing Onslaught instead of Guardian?

Rekt, Any chance I could join in on some of those games? Only way to improve is to play better players, and I am still trying to finalize all the places in an EU team. All of my local friends who are in it aren't really good enough, and I know I haven't got the best BR or Snipe in the world, I ain't half bad.

Anyways is there any other v7 Updates that I should know about? I don't often Frequent MLG.com, and I've stopped going to GB as much.


Also Moi, you'll be pleased to know my Snipe has improved, infact my no scope is now reasonably good, did a game of team snipes just no scoping, and I got 16-4, and I was betrayed once in that :P
 
No, I have never played Halo 2, I played my first ever Online Halo 3 match late november last year.

I have also played Onslaught plenty of times, and I am not a fan of it as a Map, but I get on with it. Why do I want another Map that's in the exact same vain as another?

Well, while I sort of agree Onslaught should have been taken out (rather than Guardian Ball), at the same time, I don't think its bad. Guardian Ball played ok, but Onslaught is among the most popular gametypes in MLG (Killa KC said this over on the MLG forums) and its pritty much already established that Heritic is a good map from its predecessor.
 
anyone played much team throwback yet? i played a couple games with a friend earlier and got heretic ball [:D] and pit 2 flag [:D:D] twice each. dunno if all gametypes are as good, but i'd love to play some with you guys. reply or hit me up on Natkingk00 on xbox. :D
 
Heretic plays so well, I feel like its just in the "sweet spot" where you dont need to worry if your shots are registering or not because everything is right on the edge of H3's br's range. I LOVE IT
 
I decided to take my EU team abit further and ended up setting up a website e.t.c dedicated (For the now) to CoD 4 and Halo 3.

International team is short of 1 member, and my EU team, well I don't know what's happening in regards to that.

Econ (or anyone else) PLEASE, hit me up for a few games with your teams or whatever, I really want to get back into playing Halo at a competitive level, I was pretty good at one point with a few of my friends and were scrimming with some top UK players, but most of my teammates are held back with school or what not so I tend to just play at a casual level with my not-so-good friends now.

it's only been like 4 days and we have made some serious progress but we can't win a matchmaking game because we either play pros or kids from the netherlands. 2-2 right now on the orlando qualifer. lbr7 is our goal at orlando.
 
I've never heard of any of your teammates, but I don't exactly have an extensive knowledge of AM players, so that's not really an insult. GL in Orlando! Hopefully MLG will come somerwhere closer to me next year so I can finally go to an event *cough Chicago cough*

anyways, we should probably get scrims going. would anyone be interested at playing tomorrow night? (ghandi you can stay up that late, right?). i know we can get at least 5-6 people consistently, it's just getting the last two are hard

by the way, anyone else used waypoint yet? probably the most pointless thing in the world, apart from the avatar awards.
 
British Host? I joined the game when Tad was on 13/14? If I had jacked host it would've went Black Screen. Scream about host all you want Lusty-Wannabe, but know I beat you...

Moi, I've jacked Frostie's house, he's went to leeds and I've commandeered his keys ;) Anyways I am always on fairly late, with the exception of this Saturday in which I have a 6am shift the next day :P

Late I assume from when Moi is normally on being about 11pm/12am British time

Waypoint - It's cool if you don't play Halo Competitively and are really into the Halo World, heck this actually might make me nail the rest of the acheivements for H3 and ODST.
