GTM's apology makes my decision here easier, but for the record, to anyone playing on a laggy connection moving forward, turn off the chat because you can and will be subjected to the timer as dictated by the rules. It's unfortunate that not everyone has the same level of internet connection however I cannot account for every instance of lag, even if you truly DC at this stage of the tournament you are subject to your opponent's kindness in offering a rematch or to turn the timer off.
