Old people

i love the innocent racism of old people
I hear you. Some of the ideas the family members the older people I on my mom's side stick to are fucking retarded. I love my grandmother and all, but I pretty much never talk to her unless forced because it eventually comes around to her moronic intolerance when it comes to things like gay people.

It seems like our generation is much more tolerant of different people, but wait until you get older and start saying some things like that. I'm not saying that anyone here is racist/prejudist of anyone, but I'm Muslim, and I've goten into tons of fights with kids in school saying things about me. I'm not racist/prejudist against anyone and it pisses me off when I hear people talking about others because they do shit differently.

Old people you're supposed to excuse, but some of the stuff I hear older people say annoys the fuck out of me so I don't bother talking to them like Surgo said about his grandmother.

dont think our generation will have anyone to be acceptably racist against when we get older
feelin pretty left out

As you get older, disabilities increase. As they increase, many people get sadder and want to die. Many handicapped people aren't old, but still wanna die. Should we feel bad that they can't die yet?

Old people are essentially handicaps. I live with one on the upstairs of my rented basement- she waits 4 hours for me to come home from work just so I can pick up her keys and she can drive. She asks me to open doors for her. I think it's hideous, I want to die around 65; not old enough to be a burden on society and not young enough to not have lived.

I have quiet an interesting life, I was basically raised by my grandparents and they are white, my dad was black and they (my whole family) told me they said my black father was a rapist, beat my mother while pregnant with me, and slashed her throught. The ignorance in my family is so odd, I love my grandparent. My granddad died more then 2 years ago, and I see my grandma all the time. I would seriously miss my grandma more then eva.

I don't know if it's innocent racism, or just ignorance.

It's neither, or a bit of both. It's how society brought them up differently, with different ideas of what you are or aren't supposed to do or say. Our minds are, whether we choose to admit it or not, inherently and subconsciously prejudiced (take any of Harvard's demonstration IATs if you don't believe me) and if you were brought up in a culture that says it's okay to perceive homosexuals as "wrong," and your subconscious - influenced by your experiences and what people have told you - really does have inclinations to that nature, then you are simply going to act accordingly and bring out your subconscious in a different way than if you were a yuppie with different instrinsic ideas about societal norms.

... Oh yeah old people.

I watched the yugioh abridged movie today and it ends with the most hilarious "old person rant" in probably the history of contrived old people rants. Skip to the end.

My grandparents are Jehovah Witnesses, and not that there's anything wrong with that, but my grandma is really against anything media, and is very paranoid, but she is a very nice person.

Once I was playing Mario Tennis and she commented on Donkey Kong after winning a point, she said something like: Oh well they believe in evolution and they want to make the monkey really strong.

I can never go on the internet around her, she thinks it's plain evil. I hope she never sees Pokemon, lol. She'd probably sew GameFreak.

Gotta love the old folks...

I have a crazy Cuban grandmother that's full of racism, hypocrisy, and oversensitivity, which insures anything she attends to be hilarious. When I was younger, if I somehow got on her nerves, she would say something akin to, "I no love you no more!" She hoodwinked me the first time, but after that I caught on and never fell for it again!
