Project OM Mashup Megathread

i expect an extraordinarily unfunny splodge one liner regarding a very unimportant aspect of this post within 24 hours don't let me down splodge
spelled my name wrong in the replay link smh

anyway

Now that TPP is over I'm doing a Camove teamdump. (i started working on this like 2 weeks ago and never bothered finishing it so here it is.)

W1 vs Kinetic (W) - Game
:zeraora::slowking-galar::latias-mega::alomomola::rampardos::regirock:
Decided to build Rampardos balance because this guy deals ridiculous amounts of damage, with Alomomola for paralysis support. The team unfortunately lacked reliable hazard removal, but with Latias to absorb Knock Off and disrupt Regenvesters pretty well, it was enough to win with a well-timed Glare on Zeraora allowing Rampardos to safely come in and start breaking Kinetic's team.

W2 vs Dugtrio Is Broken (L) - Game
:blissey::slowking-galar::regirock::gliscor::alomomola::yanmega:
I brought Yanmega semistall this week expecting it to do well into an Akira team, but in retrospect this team was very rushed and should've had more thought put into it. My biggest mistake was making my only mon that could spin against Steels being weak to Pursuit, so after I lost Glowking there was nothing I could really do.

W3 vs BandedBodyPress (L) - Game
:zeraora::slowking-galar::diancie-mega::alomomola::ogerpon-hearthflame::regirock:
I went with a modified version of the W1 team as it did well, with the most notable changes being HOger over Rampardos so I could fit more hazard removal instead of paralysis support. Unfortunately the team was quite weak to Mega Lopunny, which BBP ended up bringing, but I ended up losing because Glowking got crit by Zeraora and there was nothing I could do.

W4 vs Clas (L) - Game
:mienshao::regirock::tangrowth::zeraora::scizor-mega::blissey:
I believe Mienshao has potential as a Regen spinner that can deal large amounts of damage and threaten out Ghost types trying to spinblock so I ran it this week, and I used Tangrowth as a Regenvester that reliably beats Mega Scizor. Speaking of Mega Scizor, this mon is broken and I want it gone from the tier, so I ran it too. But Clas had an offensive Sylveon which my team had no answers to, so after I traded my Blissey for it there was nothing I could do after my Zeraora lost the speedtie vs his.

W5 vs TheTrueLtaker (W) - Game
:gyarados-mega::slowking-galar::dragapult::alomomola::cresselia::ursaluna-bloodmoon:
By far the funniest tournament game I ever had. I was busy this week and didn't have time to build, so dreepy passed me an old team made by THR, except it had Darmanitan which is now banned so I slapped on Blursa over it. Unfortunately I didn't notice that Dragapult had Infiltrator, which is useless unless the opponent has screens now that Substitute is banned. But concidentally, TTLT brought screens HO, so Infiltrator actually helped a lot and allowed me to win. Another coincidence, Velcroc brought the old version of the team THR made against TTLT in last year's TPP, so he faced what is basically the same team (by someone on Velcroc's team, too) two years in a row.

W6 vs The Hisui Region (L) - Game
:naganadel::scizor-mega::cresselia::blissey::alomomola::lycanroc-dusk:
I used a Water spam team this week with Naganadel and Mega Scizor as the main offensive core. I also had a Water/Fairy Alomomola as an anti-Scizor measure, but unfortunately THR had a Steel/Dragon Scizor which I couldn't reliably wall, and my team was overall a bit flawed, with nothing to block Mortal Spin and a lack of Life Orb on Naganadel which stopped it from KOing Scizor, so I lost.

W7 vs waffle04 (W) - Game
:hawlucha::ogerpon-hearthflame::deoxys-speed::scizor-mega::gliscor::grimmsnarl:
Screenshot 2025-08-27 11.10.41.png

I am THE HO guy. My team was already eliminated by this point, and I couldn't go through an entire Camove tour without using webs HO. I chose Hawlucha as my web setter just in case waffle brought a bouncer. I also ran Electric/Fairy HOger as HOger is great on webs and I believe Electric/Fairy is the best typing on it.The weird spread on Deoxys allowed it to outspeed Zeraora and Dragapult while still dealing as much damage as possible. My team was weak to waffle's Kingambit after my Dark resists were low, but my Scizor defied my usually terrible luck and dodged a Will-o-Wisp from Tangrowth and crit it the next turn, allowing it to KO Kingambit and let me win.

Originally I was gonna do VR noms with this but I decided not to do them for now as I feel it would take too much time adding all of them and explaining them and I needed to finish this post within 24 hours of thr's. I might do them later though.

Big thanks to Vaporeonds and dreepy for helping out with most of these teams.

also please put espeon on the vr

HELLO EVERYONE!

It´s been a while, OM Mashups. I have been either inactive or on/off for a quite long time. I don´t know if this is going to continue, but I will try for that to not happen

What I´m here to say is that, due to my lack of activity, Showdown code updates and progressive lack of general interest, what at one point was the most popular Mashup I created, Tradeabilities, has feel off in the room for quite a long time. There are multiple problems out of my control I found myself and I was not being able to fix them.

But considering how much potential other people see on this, and how much people liked it.

I will be dropping the Tradeabilities Council (alongside this guy). For the better of the room, the decision of it being a meta free to pick up for anyone interested should be talked with :Arbok:. I will try to make another contributions on the near future, or push another ones I did dirty in the past

And yes, this was also a long time delayed decision, so I´m sorry for that

Peace to everyone

POKEBILITIES AAA ANNOUCNEMENT

Hi everyone! Once again, we are reviving another OM Mashup staple: Pokebilities AAA! After a long period of stagnation, we are proud to have another active council, who has been working behind the scenes for a while to fine tune-this beloved format. We've got some big changes coming up!

Starting with the biggest one: Regenerator Clause has been amended to allow 2 users of Regenerator on the same team. Regenerator Clause was set to 1 at the beginning of the generation to follow suit with AAA's move to Single Ability Clause. In hindsight, this was a short-sighted maneuver that did not consider the significant differences between AAA and PokeAAA teambuilding and gameplay. After heavy debate and reflection on the state of the metagame, the council has identified Single Regenerator Clause as a serious restriction on teambuilding. Many of the best Pokemon in the format either have Regenerator as a base ability, or rely on Regenerator for some of their key sets. Because of the higher power level than AAA and great opportunity cost in running the ability, defensive cores had trouble standing up to the onslaught of more powerful threats, and great Pokemon like Garchomp, Rotom-Wash, and Landorus struggled to take hits and do anything useful after. Raising the Regenerator cap to 2 has immensely eased the burden previously placed on teambuilding.

In other news, the banlist has been updated to reflect previous metagame developments in AAA and PokeAAA! Ceruledge, Manaphy, Volcarona are banned! Ceruledge and Volcarona were too powerful for AAA and only get stronger in this format, while Manaphy is nearly unbeatable due to its Primordial Sea + Hydration set, while also being able to easily change its ability to delete possible checks to its main set.

We hope you enjoy the changes, and we can't wait to see this metagame flourish once more!

Bright Powder has been banned from STAAAB!
My lazy ass forgot to do this yesterday oops

Evasion is one of the cheapest tactics, especially in a tier where you can run Regen guys. A majority of council was in agreement to ban it.

:ss/pumpkaboo::ss/Ursaluna-Bloodmoon: Ursaluna-Bloodmoon has been banned from Camove Chaos :ss/Ursaluna-Bloodmoon::ss/Pumpkaboo:

Happy almost-Halloween! To celebrate, Camove Chaos has ended The Nightmare on Overwhelm Street by banning Ursaluna-Bloodmoon. This creature of the night is made unique by it's signature ability: Mind's Eye, allowing it to utilize Secret Sword to it's full potential. With Mind's Eye, Fighting/Normal becomes an un-resistable STAB combination, making Blursa the premier stall-breaker.

In Camove, the best stall breakers are the ones that can deal mixed damage. This typically requires choosing Attack or Special Attack as your primary attacking type. Secret Sword Blursa does not have that restriction. Even at 85 power, the special tanks of camove switch into Blursa, expecting to take a Blood Moon or Tera Starstorm, and instead get 2hkoed by an unboosted Secret Sword.

If Blursa decides to not attack, you are most likely giving it a Nasty Plot boost, which will often lead it to sweep your entire team unobstructed. Including your offensive mons, many of which can be picked off by a STAB Vacuum Wave.

While fast lorb Normal/Fighting Blursa is far and away the best, it can have a minimal amount of variety in its potential move set.

:Ursaluna-bloodmoon:
Ursaluna-Bloodmoon (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Mind's Eye
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Secret Sword
- Blood Moon/Tera Starstorm/Techno Blast/Oblivion Wing/Earth Power
- Vacuum Wave
- Nasty Plot

Blursa had such an impact on the metagame as a wallbreaker/sweeper hybrid, that Blursa speed tying became a necessary part of dealing with it. Yes, it ran max speed Timid with 52 base speed to outpace other Ursaluna, and hopefully get off your own Vacuum Wave before they do. This was a valid way of dealing with Ursaluna, due to it being so valuable as a team slot.

The other way to deal with Blursa was really to whittle it down. On many balance teams, you would have to likely sacrifice your special tank like Slowking to get a Mortal Spin off and hope you can predict around Secret Sword enough to let Poison and Life Orb take care of Blursa. This tissueclad strategy was frequently circumvented by pairing Blursa with a wishpasser, allowing it a new lease on life to ruin what remains of your team.
