Post your post-OMCL stuff here; shoutouts, team dumps (if single-meta dumps, consider doing those in the meta threads), memes, what have you.

w1, inh vs glory
:primarina: :darkrai: :snorlax: :skarmory: :gouging-fire: :landorus-therian:

Relatively standard build on my side; this team doesn't truly employ anything fancy, other than maybe the gouging fire? Primarina balance is like the number one thing I'd load to skillgap sm1 in inh, and other than that i just put my usual tools that I put on teams to allow me to outplay bad mus, av lax, flame body skarm what have you. Recently I've been preferring Acrobatics> Brave Bird on my Skarmories as i dont like the recoil damage you take and find that redcard/eject/sitrus are quite decent items anyhow, and the lax spread is just an attack jumppoint, idr what the exact calc is for it might honestly just be a slider thing, never run lax without attack though kids. I decided on playing SpecsRai here bc i think alot of non inh mainers tend to run bad regens / manage their regens poorly so with knock support from prim i was hoping to use that to clean up in endgames. Gouging Fire is played here as a rocker good into mostly all the common removal, while also being a physdef mon consistent into hearthflame who id been getting owned by in testgames against don in previous weeks.

w2, GG vs Ineros
:hatterene: :zamazenta: :ceruledge: :sneasler: :ninetales-alola: :kyurem-white:

quite honestly i did not respect the gracedias as a team and knew i was never getting outclicked by anyone other than rofna or maybe nashrock, i did not load into either and as such i went with a kinda carefree approach this time around, i thought the only way i lost ever was if i managed to get a soulread cteam of the usual fat shit i run, so i wanted to stay clear of that. Sneasler is a Novelty cool mon to run with 170 spa and it is meant to clean up teams in the endgame, not alot of teams prep for special fight/poison/special coverage as alot of the time our special attackers are not that. Idr what the Kyurem spread does imma be real LMFAOO it is cool to be mixed like they are in OU though. WP is meant to boost freeze dry for physdef guys like washtom or EP for zacian specifically. Ceruledge is just a good mon to use to snowball with and Zama + Hatterene are solid fundimental mons that you cant rlly go wrong with on teams like this. Overall im very proud of this one and it is one of my favourite, if not my favourite team i built this tour

W3, GG vs Starshine.
:rotom-wash: :eternatus: :clefable: :manaphy: :great-tusk: :urshifu:

Starshine is cteam demon so i wanted to stay away from my usual extreme stuff like fat / ho's. This is just an edit of an old team i ran back in open with some mons swapped around. AV tusk is a cool tech especially against offensive Etern and Kyu-w. Speedy Etern is my favourite to toxic on arceuses and be faster than goons like wogerpon and Lando-I. Manaphy is a cool load that takes advantage of the usual spdef tank suspects while also just being able to trade damage well into most teams. Decided to pair it up with shifu in speed bc that guy seemed good and had alot of front loaded damage output.

W4, inh vs sammy
:sneasler: :iron-crown: :ting-lu: :skarmory: :toxapex: :urshifu:

Yet again psyspam, sammy doesnt play this tier and when he did play it previously in the tour his team was kinda dogshit so i just wanted to load smth that had a good mu into most things in the tier + Iron Crown to get around AV mons that id persuambly see as he is very draft pilled in his building. CB shifu was meant to troll the direct lack of physical defense in his team. I loaded good mu but got unlucky

W5, TM vs Clas
:meowscarada: :iron-valiant: :corviknight: :blissey: :great-tusk: :alomomola:

I wanted to load a nice fatter team here bc i find those the most comfortable to play in TM, ival + meow seemed to be a breaking core that overlapped alot irt. shared checks. Meowscarada also just seemed like a good vehicle for getting valiant onto the field + breaking teams as clas played alot of reflect teams. Ebelt val let me not lose to disable and also put pretty good pressure on AV RM, Corv and Tusk. Kinda got owned by loading mono spdef AV bliss into a team with 3 special attackers one of which being pecharunt. Mola felt like a good option for longevity to wishpass into breakers/tusk while keeping the team healthy against spikes mons like woger or shocks.

W6, Stab vs LagBad.

:walking-wake: :venusaur: :ninetales: :hatterene: :raging-bolt: :great-tusk:

Lag had been having a p good season and had been dming me extensively abt trying to cteam his opps and getting good mu's in games. So once again i needed to move away from my comfort zone. Sun has been a thing for a while now in stab but after talking to clem abt it + revisiting some old replays i realized that it was a pretty solid load here, easily able to overload most defensive cores in the metagame while having the required speed to deal with offense. Non Choiced wake is a nice tech to knock pex. Venusaur is cool into like literally every offensive mon ever this tier has to offer while being resistant to all our common priority. Hatterene obviously lets me block hazards but with Teleport it also lets me bring in the breakers safely. It is also an amazing latios check as that guy is quite bastardous for these teams and scarf would otherwise have a very good mu here. Air Balloon is kinda a neccessry evil as this team does not have a ground immune/resist otherwise but it lets you wall ting-lu / mono blades defensive lando so its not the worst thing in the world. LO Bolt Shreds TingPex and i think that is very cool.

W7, Forme vs Drip

:kyogre-primal: :rayquaza-mega: :groudon-primal: :diancie-mega: :arceus-dark: :zacian-crowned:

Ngl i dont know whats going on in tis tier but it seems offensive as fuck so i loaded a bunch of cool stuff like bulky custap kyogre (1v1 demon) and air balloon Diancie. i fw this team but idk if its good

semis vs ivar GO READ THIS

fun tour, i enjoyed this alot more than i enjoyed previous OMWC's and i think intergrating "non circuit/pl" tiers into an om team tour worked out very well. on my 2026 bingo card is to stop sucking ass at mnm so i hope to see you all in mnmpl and also ompl where i will be tierlocking out of everything but mnm and aaa. HOLD ME ACCOUNTABLE TO THIS (unless i manage)

Introduction

I have been waiting for this moment. Buckle in y'all, since I have a lot of teams to share. Note that I built for more people than just myself, and I also ended up building more teams than I needed. Now, onto the teams-

No Johns Round 3-
Me versus qtfox (2-1, W)
(Game 1 (Alphabet Cup), W)- Dual Dragon Offense
:slaking: :typhlosion-hisui: :haxorus: :primarina: :salamence: :cinderace:

I was unfamiliar with Alphabet Cup, so I kind of just tried to find what seemed broken and slapped them all on a team. Apparently I was somewhat cooking (at least with the Salamence), since I managed to win my match with a Salamence sweep. I was expecting stall (since I knew my opponent liked it in Shared Power), so I cooked a Haxorus set in order to try to answer a potential Unaware user.

(Game 2 (Shared Power), L)-
:houndstone: :ting-lu: :politoed: :manaphy: :giratina-origin: :ogerpon-wellspring:

I liked this team (at the time) quite a bit, but I never should have brought it. I had already scouted my opponent, and I knew that they liked stall in Shared Power. Bringing a semistall structure against that was... not a decision I am happy with. The main concept behind the team is rather simple- Hydration cures all non-volatile status effects at the end of the turn if Rain is up, so I used a Rain setter, Manaphy (for Hydration + to serve as my progress maker), and spammed Rest all throughout my team. In practice, the team falls apart if you don't time your switches well, since Rest will cripple something if Rain isn't up, and since I wasn't using Damp Rock on anything, that was going to happen a lot. I ended up primarily losing the game to a misplay that cost me my Manaphy, although part of me doubts if that really mattered and if I wasn't doomed from the start.

(Game 3 (ORAS Pure Hackmons), W)- Dual MMX + WG Pdon
:mewtwo-mega-x: :mewtwo-mega-x: :chansey: :aegislash: :tyranitar-mega: :groudon-primal:

One of the three(?) iterations of my second attempt at the Dual MMX structure. The team is rather weak to Gyarados-Mega, although it can definitely be played around (to an extent). I honestly don't have much else to say about this team- it's just another variation of Dual MMX.

OMCL Week 1-
ORAS Pure Hackmons (me versus sussyamongusdrip)

(Unused)- Copy of Boomburst Latios-Mega
:giratina: :latios-mega: :ferrothorn: :rayquaza-mega: :tyranitar-mega: :xerneas:

Discarded this team after testing it out. I kind of wish I made it work, however- Boomburst was a cook on Latios-Mega that answered the massive popularity of passing substitutes to Mold Breakers that I noticed pre-OMCL. If I remember correctly, Latios-Mega is EV-ed to tank a +2 252+ SpA Oblivion Wing from Rayquaza-Mega after Stealth Rocks, and OHKOes Rayquaza-Mega with Boomburst before a Shell Smash, and you also outspeed Modest Rayquaza-Mega (before a Shell Smash). In testing, the team pretty much fell apart, to the point where I thought it was more worthwhile to completely discard it and to make a new team.

(Game 1, W)- The only thing they fear is you
:diancie-mega: :ferrothorn: :regigigas: :aegislash: :swampert-mega: :latios-mega:

This is the team that started my tournament-long obsession with Shadow Tag Regigigas. Started with a Mold Breaker Diancie-Mega, and structured most of the rest of the team towards supporting it. Added a Regigigas to answer opposing Gyarados-Mega (which will force Diancie-Mega out with Water Shuriken), Aegislash to pass a Substitute to Diancie-Mega (and to provide overall support that the team really appreciates), and a Ferrothorn to Imposter-proof the Diancie-Mega (Gyro Ball is an OHKO on Eviolite Imposter Chansey after a Shell Smash). Swampert-Mega was added to improof the Regigigas, and Latios-Mega was added at the very end as filler. In-game, I nearly threw against the opposing Mold Breaker Diancie-Mega, but I was bailed out by a four-hit Water Shuriken from Regigigas. Nicknames are references to songs in the DOOM 2016 soundtrack.

(Game 2, W)- For those about to rock (we salute you)
:arceus: :metagross-mega: :giratina: :ferrothorn: :latios-mega: :sableye-mega:

I wanted to bring No Guard at least one time this match, so I started with a core of Arceus + Metagross-Mega. I threw on a Giratina to Imposter-proof the Arceus, added a Ferrothorn to help with Spore, and I had two slots left. I knew I wanted a Mold Breaker and another Wonder Guard, preferably one that could block sleep and was not another Swampert-Mega. I settled on Sableye-Mega for the Wonder Guard and a Mold Breaker Latios-Mega. I stole the basic idea for the Mold Breaker set from my friend clodsie, although I opted to run Spore and Shell Smash over Stealth Rock and Tail Glow. In-game, Sableye-Mega bullied the opposing Ferrothorn and (funnily enough) helped to KO the Mold Breaker. I should use this little guy some more, but I hate how hard it is to fit on most teams. Nicknames are references to AC/DC songs.

(Game 3, Unused)- Deadly Sins
:groudon-primal: :ludicolo: :rayquaza-mega: :registeel: :xerneas: :tyranitar-mega:

Threw this team together at the last minute. Glad I didn't needed it, since I never tested it LOL. Nicknames are, well, references to the seven deadly sins (which is weird, since I'm not Christian in the slightest, but the theme of the seven deadly sins seemed fitting for this team, and I'm not really sure why).

OMCL Week 2-
Shared Power (me versus GlalieGoesBoom)
ORAS Pure Hackmons (jasprose versus teamo)
(Me, Unused)- Sticky Web Psysurge
:landorus: :galvantula: :lilligant-hisui: :indeedee: :quaquaval: :porygon-z:

I originally built this for my match that week, but I chickened out last-minute and brought a team I was more used to using.

(Me, Game 1, L)- Copy of Untitled 134
:flutter mane: :cinderace: :lycanroc-dusk: :comfey: :groudon: :solgaleo:

Ended up building this at the start of the No Johns tournament while I was still learning Shared Power, and brought it for this match. I probably could have pulled off a win if I hadn't thrown away my Comfey to the opposing Walking Wake, but all I can do now is try to learn from that.

(jasprose, Game 1, W)- jasprose Week 2 versus teamo
:regigigas: :rayquaza-mega: :aegislash: :chansey: :swampert-mega: :arceus:

This week was a bit different, since I had offered to be slotted into Shared Power while jasprose went into ORAS Pure Hackmons. I passed jasprose a modified version of my game 1 team for versus sussyamongusdrip, which I had tried to alter to match up better into what I saw teamo had been bringing in the scout. I primarily noticed a lot of Dark Void and zero Spore, so I had a feeling Safety Goggles would be useless, and I gave the Wonder Guards Lum Berry to deal with Dark Void.

OMCL Week 3-
ORAS Pure Hackmons (me versus NToTheN)
ORAS Pure Hackmons (Ineros versus SammyCe123)
(Me, Game 1, L)- Copy of Copy of Week 3: Versus NToTheN (team 1)
:mewtwo-mega-x: :mewtwo-mega-x: :giratina: :chansey: :tyranitar-mega: :ludicolo:

I easily spent three-quarters of my total preparation time on this team, just for me to get almost every prediction wrong. I spent hours on these EVs, and I will be going into a lot of depth as to what they all do in the ORAS Pure Hackmons thread. I even went so far as to ask aerobee for help improving it, since I knew I was nowhere close to a great builder. and I was far less familiar with the intricacies Dual MMX.

(Me, Game 2, L)- Week 3: Versus NToTheN (team 2)
:gengar-mega: :arceus: :chansey: :regigigas: :xerneas: :kyogre-primal:

One of my new favorite team ideas. The overall concept is you pass Tail Glows to Arceus with Gengar-Mega. Arceus clicks Quiver Dance, then tries to sweep. If Imposter comes in on Arceus, you go back to Gengar-Mega, Tail Glow, and pass it back to Arceus. If Imposter comes in on Gengar-Mega, you click Judgment-Ghost and possibly OHKO. Unfortunately, around the middle of the game, I didn't realize how good of a position I was currently in, and not taking advantage of that that ended up costing me the entire game. Side note here but I jokingly said to NToTheN the day before this match that I was loading Groudon-Primal spam versus them, so I nicknamed all of my mons on this team to be "Groudon-Primal" as a continuation of the joke.

(Me, Game 3, Unused)- Week 3: Versus NToTheN (team 3)
:mewtwo-mega-x: :kyogre-primal: :metagross-mega: :groudon-primal: :gyarados-mega: :arceus:

Never ended up being used. Main thing I want to point out are the sets on Mewtwo-Mega-X and Kyogre-Primal- I have all status moves on Kyogre-Primal, including Stealth Rock and Aromatherapy, so that way my opponent's Imposter mon could benefit from staying in and using a support move I had so graciously provided. The Mewtwo-Mega-X then comes in, traps Imposter, and Taunts it, preventing it from doing anything other than slowly dying to Struggle recoil. Nicknames are just funny things I came up with and/or remembered in ten minutes.

(Ineros, Game 1, L)- Ineros Week 3 versus SammyCE123
:arceus: :rayquaza-mega: :chansey: :swampert-mega: :regigigas: :aegislash:

I regret passing this team to Ineros. I was thinking since the last version of the team did so well, it would be worth bringing an editied version of it again. In reality, the team had been scouted, and I was just being lazy and didn't want to build a new team for Ineros. I still regret that, and if Ineros is reading this by any chance, I wanted to apologize.

OMCL Week 4-
Alphabet Cup (me versus seraphz)

(Game 1, L)- THE VOICES TOLD ME TO MAKE SUN
:ogerpon-hearthflame: :torkoal: :great tusk: :slither wing: :venusaur: :rillaboom:

Clas asked at the end of the game why Rillaboom was Growth over Swords Dance, and it is honestly because I was rushing and I forgot that Rillaboom learned Swords Dance. That is unfortunately kind of the problem with this team- I didn't spend nearly enough time on it, and when seraphz asked to play about an hour after I built the team, I (for some stupid reason) agreed. I fully deserved this loss, although it did serve as a wake-up call to me that I was fucking things up and I needed to start taking this tournament seriously again. Nicknames are references to various things in the game Dwarf Fortress.

OMCL Week 6-
Shared Power (me versus Fissure)
Alphabet Cup (Ineros versus Plague)

(Me, Game 1, L)- Copy of OMCL Week 6- Nosepass Semistall
:houndstone: :blissey: :giratina-origin: :nosepass: :trevenant: :gastrodon:
I decided to fully commit this week and to take my match seriously (not that most can tell, since I still lost). I knew my opponent was an offense / hyper offense fan, so I decided to go in the complete opposite direction with a stall team. It came so close to working, to the point where if I had decided to go for Surf on turn 1 rather than switching Gastrodon out, I would have been able to KO the Stealth Rocks Landorus, and would later be able to win it all with Nosepass. Unfortunately, once Stealth Rocks were set up a second time and my only Defogger was low, there was only so much I could really do. I'm still somewhat disappointed with how this team performed. Nicknames are references to various things in Dwarf Fortress, similar to last week.

(Ineros, Game 2, L)- Ineros Week 6
:slaking: :thundurus-therian: :volcanion: :typhlosion-hisui: :toxapex: :scream tail:

Ineros was unfamiliar with Alphabet Cup (and so was I but we aren't talking about that), so I tried my best to build a team that was supposed to function similarly to an OU team that (I believe) Ineros had used in another tournament. Ineros then matched up into a Rain team, and (if I remember correctly) the opposing Archaludon swept almost everything by itself. I'm not sure if much else really needs to be said.

OMCL Week 7-
ORAS Pure Hackmons (me versus Excaliju)
Alphabet Cup (Bella versus ExguardiaN)

(Me, Game 1, L)- No Guard Lando + Huge Power Yveltal + Mold MLatios
:landorus: :regigigas: :chansey: :ludicolo: :yveltal: :latios-mega:

I am really sad this team did so poorly, since this is BY FAR my favorite team that I have made this tournament. I cannot do the team justice with this one small section on it, so I would look at my upcoming post on the ORAS Pure Hackmons thread for a lot more information. I was (and still am) rather proud with how I put this team together, and I am genuinely kind of upset that it did so poorly in its OMCL debut. I also meant to bring this team for game three, but I accidentally loaded it game one, so I decided at that point to bring my teams in the opposite order that I had made them.

(Me, Game 2, W)- Mold MRay + Mold MGar + WG Zap
:rayquaza-mega: :zapdos: :ludicolo: :gengar-mega: :aegislash: :slaking:

I knew I was at high risk of being completely counterteamed this match, so I wanted to (try to) bring something that features mons that I don't typically bring. I then proceeded to load Rayquaza-Mega and Aegislash. I only won this game because of the insane sleep RNG I got versus Excaliju's Gyarados-Mega, which allowed Rayquaza-Mega to sweep.

(Me, Game 3, W)- Copy of OMCL Week 7 (versus Excaliju g1)- BD Mold PDon + Huge Power Gigas
:groudon-primal: :giratina: :manectric-mega: :kyogre-primal: :chansey: :regigigas:

I had very little Mold Breaker Groudon-Primal usage, and zero usage of it running Belly Drum, so I figured I would build a team featuring it. In-game, I faced a Dual Diancie team, and all Groudon-Primal did was be sacrificed to a Diancie-Mega when I wasn't sure which one was out (and I didn't want to lose the other five mons a lot more than I didn't want to lose Groudon-Primal). I am extremely proud of how I played that game, even if I nearly threw it in the third or fourth quarter of it.

(Bella, Game 1, W)- Copy of Probably bad Sun
:necrozma: :ninetales: :ogerpon-hearthflame: :thundurus-therian: :great tusk: :venusaur:

Despite my earlier loss with it, I still had a feeling that Sun could work in this format, so when Bella asked for a team, I decided to provide this as one of two "starting points", to see how they felt about it so I could have a better idea of what direction to build in. In testing, the team was terrifying, to the point where it shredded even the stall team I brought versus it. Bella ended up bringing that team to their match, and won, so I guess I was at least somewhat cooking with Sun after all, although it helps if you aren't being dumb and running a fucking Growth Rillaboom.

Bonus teams!
Camomons- Copy of Double Levitate Offense
:kingambit: :great tusk: :hydreigon: :latios: :rillaboom: :garchomp:

I didn't know the metagame for Camomons, so I tried to build my team in such a way to where for every type, I tried to at least match the number of mons that resist any given type to the number of mons weak to that same type. I did run it a bit on the monthly ladder, and it seems to do okay, so I'm guessing I had some of the right ideas with this team.

Cross Evolution- Copy of Anaconja NOT Approved
:gligar: :misdreavus: :dunsparce: :bisharp: :frogadier: :hippopotas:

Stole a team from my friend clodsie (who had received help from anaconja in building it), and tried to improve it based on the weaknesses I noticed when clodsie brought it for No Johns. I eventually received some help from anaconja with polishing the team, so I guess it is "approved" now, in a way.

Alphabet Cup- Probably bad Rain HO
:necrozma: :thundurus-therian: :archaludon: :pelipper: :jolteon: :drednaw:

I had built two teams to start with for Bella in week 7, and this was the second one. I might have been slightly fascinated with that Rain team that Ineros lost to in week 6.

ORAS Pure Hackmons- Copy of Imp + STag Gigas + Prankster Glare Gira
:chansey: :regigigas: :giratina: :diancie-mega: :ferrothorn: (:manectric-mega: / :zebstrika: / :raikou:)

I originally built this for fun, and I used it in a Lobby room tournament, just to then find out that there was one week left of OMCL and that I likely had to play ORAS Pure Hackmons one more time. If I had realized that there was one week still, I probably would have brought this team, but there's nothing to be done about it, I suppose. Yes, I was (half) unironically running Zebstrika in that Lobby room tournament.

ORAS Pure Hackmons- Versus LycanrocWastaken
:zapdos: :rayquaza-mega: :regigigas: :chansey: :ferrothorn: :xerneas:

Originally built this a few weeks ahead of time, since I was expecting to play versus LycanrocWastaken in the week my team faced the Primeapes. I knew I had a 99% chance of losing, so I decided to meme a little with a funny Poison Heal Zapdos set that improofs my Ground coverage + Dark Void Mold Breaker Rayquaza-Mega. That match never happened, although I did get to bring it when Lycanroc asked me for a test game. We tied, so is Poison Heal Zapdos actually real now? (No)

ORAS Pure Hackmons- "Fake" Dual MMX
:mewtwo-mega-x: :mewtwo-mega-x: :chansey: :aegislash: :ludicolo: :gyarados-mega:

The idea here is that the second MMX bluffs Wonder Guard, and then you get a surprise OHKO with Sheer Cold. To compensate for one of the MMX's not being Wonder Guard, I made Gyarados-Mega Wonder Guard, and gave it a Choice Band to compensate as much as I could for no longer being Huge Power. This team is bad, but it is kind of funny.

Shoutouts
I have too many people to thank, so in the in the interest of not spending another five hours on this post, I'm limiting myself to three people, although I really hate having to choose. Even if I don't mention you by name, you all know who you are, and I have really appreciated the help I have received from everyone, no matter how much or how little it was.

clodsie - To be completely honest, I have no idea how I would have been able to do any of this without you. I can't say too much mushy stuff here, but you have helped me as a friend far more than you may realize, and I wanted to thank you for everything.

GhastlyPixie - tysm bestie for your help! Your help has been invaluable this tournament, and I wanted you to know that I appreciated it all. Hopefully we can work more in the future!

LycanrocWastaken - I've really appreciated getting to talk about the ORAS Pure Hackmons metagame and test teams with you throughout this tournament. You and I may not see eye-to-eye on everything, but I am still glad I have you as a friend, and here's hoping we maybe will get to work together in Pure Hackmons Premier League II.

EDIT: I just realized this post took me around two and a half hours to make, LMAO.

Post OMCL Team-Dump:

W1:

I slotted PIC this week and used a modified Chromate team and it did well.

https://pokepast.es/3d25dd194e66dbd9

I also passed Seraphz this Haydenn team for mnm.

https://pokepast.es/7f2580fc00390d41

W2:

I loaded this into don Vascus iirc and I won in a very close game.

https://pokepast.es/7f3220453d09910c

Me and Adrian worked together to pass this modified Betticus team to Feen, they ultimately lost and I admittedly feel like this could’ve been made better.

https://pokepast.es/db1486bdd0ba292a

W3:

I loaded this into drip legend but ultimately played horrendously which resulted in a loss.

https://pokepast.es/1e17bdcde989729e

W4:

I loaded this into eeriespells and although I misplayed early on due to just waking up, I was able to clean up and win.

https://pokepast.es/e3c101eb44ebc9d3

W5:

I loaded this into KDCA, ultimately both sides had some hax but I think mine mattered more and I ended up winning.

https://pokepast.es/95fdfcfd853d2f0c

I built this for ducky but I think they modified it before their game, they ultimately lost as neither of us accounted for Dialga.

https://pokepast.es/fc992613f77265dc

W6:

I played BH but I elected to not build this tier and stole a paste from Ivar, I ultimately won with some misplays from both side and a very unfortunate misclick from Quinn.

https://pokepast.es/2d7145bb09bd8d91

I also built this for Seraphz and then he modified it before the game and ultimately won.

https://pokepast.es/59e76674a9f680c6

I passed Rarre this team for inh, the gfire admittedly should’ve been a different unaware and they ultimately lost, mind was a tough opponent for someone who has never touched the tier tho.

https://pokepast.es/53635df71916f374

W7:

I slotted pic this week and loaded into a horrific mu, tho I could’ve made it better by keeping torkoal on the team which ultimately meant I lost the match.

https://pokepast.es/5fe5f544dbdffdb6

I passed Hallward this team which admittedly didn’t have an amazing perrserker sneasler check and ultimately with some misplays, Hallward lost.

https://pokepast.es/7c77013d5c5eb085

I passed Damflame this forme team with a funny Ndm set, he ultimately won and we all celebrated.

https://pokepast.es/1028ca34b16e69af

Semi-finals:

I loaded this team that I had meant for rarre to load but I ended up using. I definitely haxed a lot and misplayed with zap but I think I was still chilling without the hax. Ultimately I did win in a very unenjoyable match.

https://pokepast.es/c118ac2f2cb744d2

I remember discussing Forme with Glory this week and he gave me the idea for bulky cm ogre and hwish Arceus, this ended up being basically a modified sample but I passed this to Tanny and they were able to clean up and take the win.

https://pokepast.es/20683b4f5a2c9d45

Semifinals tie break:

I remember thinking that HO seemed good into Taka and I hadn’t yet loaded it so I decided on this team. Ultimately I lost due to a fatal misplay, such is the life of ho v ho tho.

https://pokepast.es/c58b262ded71e1d5

Shoutouts:

adriancosmoem thanks for managing with me and helping out with everything. I didn’t expect you to be as involved with your limited om knowledge but you helped a lot.

Toast thanks for discussing FORME with me and helping me decide what to pass to Tanny and thanks for passing Feen some teams.

seraphz You did really well in mnm despite never touching the tier and I am grateful.

Tanny89k thanks for slaying FORME and PH, you did great.

damflame 3 this tour didn’t completely go your way but I’m happy you were able to win the forme game and I appreciate all of the help you were with prepping and how much motivation you showed in this tie break week.

The Guy Who Has Many Alts I know we butted heads a lot but I do appreciate the investment you had in helping with bh and appreciate you subbing into inh.

Tbp24 we also butted heads a few times but overall I enjoyed getting to have you on the team and appreciated your openness to the new tiers.

jb291 you were such a goat this tour and I had a lot of fun testing camo with you.

@lag=bad my stab goat, I definitely got tired of stab after all of our test games LOL but I loved your dedication to the tier.

@feen thanks for playing aaa and making sure I didn’t even have to think about that tier.

rarre thanks for playing inh for me, you did well in a tier you knew nothing about.

Overall I had so much fun this tour and did pretty well. Really glad I got to play inh and forme, wish I could’ve floated into mnm a bit but I had fun in most of my games.

What a way to go out huh! I find I'm often a little excessive in my writing of post-tour stuff, and my time recently has felt incredibly stretched despite the respite holidays are supposed to give, so I'll try to keep this brief.

GhastlyPixie, adriancosmoem Thank you so much for drafting me. I had expectations of maybe going as a sub or for a low price, given that my only real performance has been with ORAS PH and my tour showings have been mediocre at best despite the time I put into the tier, so I was quite surprised to get drafted with an assumption that I'd be starting. You both are incredible friends and people and I've had nothing but a lovely time interacting with either of you in the communities we share or just in general. I wish you both nothing but the best.

I'm not the happiest with my final results, I would have loved to win more (obviously) but it is what it is and I'm happy I even got wins considering my playing skill. People have been bashing stab for some time and I can understand some of the complaints about mu-fishyness, but I just can't help but love this tier. There are perhaps a few small things to work out before I think the format is really well and truly balanced (cough wake cough), but the new council has been doing a fantastic job and I'm super excited for where the tier heads next as we enter the last stretch of the generation. ORAS PH is and always will be ORAS PH, and I think it deserves every complaint it gets. But it's still a fun-enough format that I hope the larger community gives more attention to.

With that said, time for my teams!

W1 V. Treeko
:chansey: :rayquaza-mega: :aerodactyl-mega: :arceus-ghost: :kyogre-primal: :ferrothorn:

I don't quite remember exactly what I wanted to do with this team, but if I were to make one change in retrospect it would be to make aerodactyl a huge power gigas/gyara for a secondary anti-sweeper. Team did fine enough aero was a dumb thing to bring but otherwise the 6 function pretty well. fast subpass with ray is just a really strong combo. I loaded into like the one gira set I didn't have good answers to because I'd basically forgotten about spore 4th. Got a little unlucky with sleep but it is what it is, I made a couple bad plays that could have sent the game my way.

W2 V. xdRudi.exe
:zamazenta: :ogerpon-cornerstone: :clodsire: :primarina: :latios: :corviknight:

I had a really strong feeling rudi was bringing zap + ting + regen(likely vest) and then probably gholdengo in some set. And what do you know! they brought that. psychic fangs zama is not really a good set but this team can keep hazards up pretty well and I wanted something that could hit both gweez and pex hard at +1. Bulwark pon is very cool and an absolute bastard into a lot of stuff, being able to scout a lot of the top choice item pokemon and give my team a little more breathing room into mons that would otherwise click big scary buttons. Prima corv covers a lot of top mons, and clod gave me much needed removal since I was pretty weak to kingambit and wanted bpress bird with pivot. Probably a sketch team but it got the matchup I was expecting and worked out.

W3 V. One Last Kiss
:gholdengo: :mamoswine: :toxapex: :ting-lu: :zapdos: :zamazenta:

Stole rudi's defensive three from last week because it just kinda clicked into OLK's scout, and went from there. Really wanted to bring mamoswine, this is the final version of like 6 different teams that I experimented with coring on mamo + something, from hydrapple tusk washtom to veil HO. This was kinda the 6 that clicked and I'm pretty proud of it. Make mamo NMI though, NMI fits the team better. Scarf ghold pressures the opposing ghold and cornerpon and whoever else that can otherwise annoy the team, and is just kinda my go-to scarfer for speed control. I made it physical pivot pex because I was looking pretty weak to weavile otherwise (which ended up working out so woo) and then mono ground move ting because I had scarf ghold + mamo to beat the mons that would be immune. Pressure zapdos is a cool tech and I really liked it, it helps versus the good rockers besides tar and pon while also not giving stuff random para (which could mean their breaker still breaks me because it can't be burned now) instead of beak blast burn. I may or may not have forgotten to put change aeroblast to beak blast on the zapdos when I went from static to pressure however. Anyway pads 4atk zama last as a support for mamo and a generally fast mon that benefits from mamo's breaking and the constant pex pressure.

W4 V. Clem
:rotom-wash: :hoopa-unbound: :urshifu-rapid-strike: :ting-lu: :corviknight: :iron valiant:
this team is heat. Pure heat. Bulwark washtom is really good because spreading free burn on half the pivots in the tier/progress makers against washtom is obviously strong, and then you just click strength sap and invalidate half the breakers. Serupt over scald because I was expecting like HO and serupt gets a couple kills/rolls that scald doesn't. Hoopa is my goat it's like latios but sidegraded because you're slow but you absolutely fuck tingpex and tar and basically any walls for lati by simply clicking plot -> big move. Nothing wants to come in on you offensively and defensively they get plotted and killed. Lorb is necessary for some ting calcs with blast but it's just big stat stick breaker with a team that punishes the common priority mons. Wursh loves the holes hoopa makes and clicks jet punch, there's probably a better stat spread I was just lazy. Corv Ting rounds out the defensive 3 with washtom, meaning the team is a little weak to wake so like ival could probably be a scarf lati and it would do everything ival tries to do but better. Ival is like, weird scarfer I thought was cool. Just run a better scarfer.
[edit]
THIS WASN'T THE RIGHT VERSION OF THE TEAM LOL. I'm blind and missed that replay had bliss so I grabbed an older vers of the team cause it looked solid and I thought "yeah I'd probably bring this" anyway the version I brought to the match is this https://pokepast.es/1f36554f231835e6 - still heat just with cm bliss over ting and scarf lando

W5 V. N
didn't build for my match this week was completely swamped with sports and school and other work.
https://pokepast.es/c1161956373233a8 - I put this 6 together as like an initial "hmm this seems decent into N scout" and a note that I'd been using stag slak/gigas extensively recently so huge power would be a cool surprise. Adrian built me a heat team that I couldn't pilot super well so I threw the match itself pretty hard. N also was using my full scout to prep for me which had like an ungodly amount of scarf mmx from when I overused it.

W6 V. Pannu
:walking wake: :darkrai: :ting-lu: :gholdengo: :zapdos: :slowbro:
I'd had this team built for a while going into pannu, a solid balance I was comfortable piloting that didn't do terribly into a lot of the archetypes I played against in friendlies with em. I got hit with sun though which was a great call on pannu's part. Absolutely was not prepared for that, but the team did ok anyway I just made a few misplays in game. Pannu suggested sub wake after the fact which I quite like here as an alternative.

W7 V. Avarice
Not gonna post team cause it was hella scuffed and really dumb. I was busy and while the team had some fun ideas (I love mixed deo-s as a mon cause it's awesome, encore cornerpon to cteam screens leads, etc.) I had no way of capitalising on my tricks and overall despite knowing I was loading into HO kinda didn't quality check the HO matchup enough and completely forgot about hatterene as a pokemon people run.

And that's kinda it! I'm sorry I don't have a better thank you selection for the rest of my team, y'all were great I've just been super busy and not great mentally which has taken a toll on my ability to be interactive with people. Actually specific shoutout to damflame 3 though I always felt like I learned something by watching your analysis of our team games and your level of understanding of flow of play and the more psychological aspects of the actual battles is something I strive for. Also big shoutout to pannu for accepting my stream of testing requests when my managers didn't want to play stab anymore LOL. Also shoutout SpaceSpeakers you're the one who got me to start really taking stab seriously and I've loved it all the more as a result. You're also just a great friend.

I've had an incredible time getting to know the OM's community more over the course of this year and I hope to get to know all of you more in the next. Thanks for all the fun in this tour!

To be honest, I should have made this post about 2-3 weeks ago when my team got eliminated, but I was thinking about doing this whole yap session about how disappointed about how our season went, and now that I’ve had the chance to actually reflect back on the season, I’ve been able to review my mistakes and hopefully grow in the future, cause if I do anything before I leave this website, I will get a trophy for the moccing machamps franchise. Promise. So, here’s all the teams I personally built for this OMCL.

Week 1:
https://pokepast.es/e832b4d94898ec45 LB vs kDCA (Formemons)

Week 3:
https://pokepast.es/6935b4dab4413731
LB vs Swas (Formemons)

Week 4:
https://pokepast.es/78511a73acdb2c8f
ExGuardian vs Mossy Sandwitch (Camomons)
https://pokepast.es/8b6d36b2ccc92010 frankjosh vs XYStarshine (Godly Gift)

Week 5:
https://pokepast.es/18913102366b3675
db vs matte (Camomons)

Week 6:
https://pokepast.es/6aeb607f96cca67b
LB vs Greybaum (Formemons) (with lowkey life-saving changes from LycanrocWastaken ty)

(i'm just spitting all this off dome tbh)

To be honest, if this wasn’t apparent enough, I’m disappointed at my performance to be honest. This was my first time ever managing a team tour, and it showed a lot. I feel like I drafted an elite team that honestly could have made it to the championship, yet I fumbled by making bad teams and not doing manager stuff enough. But besides all that, I had a fun time both building and chilling with people who I’d probably never met otherwise. I've learned a lot, not only to become a better manager, but also to become a better om player in general. I mostly attribute the moccing machamps's failure to myself, and I know I could have done better than that, but it's good, just come back harder next time.

ty for everyone I drafted for making this a fun ass tour, even if we didn't make it far, ty for potatochan, goldbanker, cityscapes. and lycanroc for helping out, shoutout to Ren for the vibes, and a special ty to prunyy for lowkey teaching me how to manage properly and giving me a person i could come too when the losses were getting to me, I don't think i could've made it without you.

mnmpl's coming, and even if I don't manage that tour (which I prob will), I'm still prob gonna sign up and give it my all, as well as om homefield so I'm not dead weight into bh/aaa. goose kebab ca will become a reality.

Figured I'd do a teamdump, especially since Forte has so few resources availible.

Week 1:
https://pokepast.es/8b83d0ea3d76e058
:Darkrai: :Zapdos: :Gallade: :Iron-Crown: :Primarina: :Quaquaval:
My first thoughts when building for forte was to do status spam, and para is always a super strong status. :Zapdos: and :Iron-Crown: spread para, while :Darkrai: and :Gallade: are the main abusers, the former doubling as speed control with a touch of sub paraflinch with the latter focusing on breaking the regen cores that dominate the tier. :Primarina: and :Quaquaval: play more utility roles, with :Primarina: being a general special check but especially focusing on :Dragapult: and :Quaquaval: being hazard removal that can snowball extremely quickly. Matchup into electric terrain was fine, :Raging-Bolt: was very scary but once it went down :Zapdos: and :PRimarina: handled most of the other mons well.

Week 2:
https://pokepast.es/0b1a707008a8491c
:Baxcalibur: :Zapdos: :Slowking-Galar: :Quaquaval: :Primarina: :Tinkaton:
Was checking out the banlist and saw :Baxcalibur: wasn't on it for some reason, and decided to build a team around it. With :Zapdos: to deal with :Corviknight: and :Skarmory:, as well as spreading para to enable :Baxcalibur: to outspeed much more mons, :Baxcalibur: becomes a giant threat without many switchins. A general :primarina: :quaquaval: support duo always is useful, and :slowking-galar: is a great special check that also helps pivot into :Baxcalibur: more. :Tinkaton: is a fun mon that helps shore up a lot of bad matchups, in particular :Darkrai:. Fine matchup again, mostly just pivot :Baxcalibur: in constantly to threaten mons and leverage :Zapdos: to try and threaten :Corviknight:.

Week 3:
https://pokepast.es/0ee4458fc390fe74
Yeah this one's on me, dunno what I was thinking with leech seed :Landorus-Therian:, should have gone :garchomp: like my managers suggested with the scout and kinda choked the endgame.

Week 4:
https://pokepast.es/b6e00aa532dd6bc4
:Baxcalibur: :Zapdos: :Slowking-Galar: :Regieleki: :Primarina: :Tinkaton:
Post :Quaquaval:/:Raging-Bolt:/:Landorus: ban, this team is still good with :Quaquaval: swapped out for :regieleki:. The :kingambit: matchup is pretty iffy, but thankfully I didn't run into it and the matchup this week was really good, allowing :Baxcalibur: to get another legacy game.

Week 5:
https://pokepast.es/d9c6091590888ac2
:Tentacruel: :Cobalion: :Latios: :Primarina: :Rillaboom: :Kleavor:
GhastlyPixie cooked this one up for me, and it was a pretty good team. I kinda choked in game by letting :Cobalion: go down since I assumed v-wave would kill :Regieleki:, and of course the thunderbolt full para on :Primarina: made sure the game was lost, but in general a pretty good game. Not much to say since I didn't make this team.

Week 6:
https://pokepast.es/72c368221ae8fad4
:Baxcalibur: :Regieleki: :Iron-Moth: :Dialga-Origin: :Cobalion: :Ursaluna-Bloodmoon:
I played this game really badly. Frankly the fact I had a :Baxcalibur: at +3/+3 and managed to lose is impressivly bad and should blacklist me from any competitive mons for 100 years. Team was my attempt at generic offense, DD :Baxcalibur: is broken and threatens p much everything(if you don't let it get confused like an idiot), :Regieleki: does what it always does as a momentum generator, revenge killer, and hazard removal all-in-one, :Dialga-Origin: and :Ursaluna-Bloodmoon: give the team a bit of bulk while still being super threatening, :Cobalion: makes the :Kingambit: matchup not completely garbage and is a good sweeper on its own, and :Iron-Moth: shores up the :Cobalion: matchup while threatening a snowball. Matchup was fine, I just played like shit and got punished accordingly.

Semis
https://pokepast.es/a67263130d048742
:Ursaluna-Bloodmoon: :Alomomola: :Pecharunt: :Regieleki: :Azelf: :Cobalion:
jb built this team for me and it was really really good. AV :alomomola: is broken like :alomomola: always is, giving :Ursaluna-Bloodmoon: and :Azelf: a million switchins. :Ursaluna-Bloodmoon: lives everything and does a million back, while :Azelf: allows you to not instalose into :primarina:, as well as feasting on any slow mons in general and snowballing extremely quickly and reliably. :Regieleki: does what it always does, while :Pecharunt: is a great physical wall and pivot, especially important with spdef :alomomola:. :Cobalion: helps shore up some of the weakest matchups for this team, namely :Ting-lu: and :KIngambit:. Matchup was extremely good, the stall team I faced was kinda really really bad and :Azelf: and :ursaluna-bloodmoon: 6-0'd on preview pretty much.

Some teams that went unused
https://pokepast.es/448ea46107eb6695
Very early pre-banwave stuff, centers around :Heatran: trapping :slowking-galar: and :toxapex: setting tspikes.
https://pokepast.es/4fec020c26235a70
One of my fevered attempts to make :breloom: work. One day.
https://pokepast.es/2cea60ab56a747dd
One of the generic offense teams I was making before I got convinced to run jb's amazing :azelf: team.

All in all, extremely fun tour, happy I went positive, really looking forward to the next one! Shoutouts to my entire team(Nightshades) for their support both in teambuilding and morale, as well as Delibird Heart and Quacklord for their teambuilding and testing support.

bro why am i carrying corviknight 5 out of the 6 games...
Since the tour has came to an end i wanna share my teams and improve my writing skills. :))))

week 2 vs Les2BG (W)
:pecharunt::zamazenta::kyurem-white::landorus::corviknight::garganacl:
Loading kyurem-white into its lover is fun lol.
By watching replays i saw les and fraise spammed offense a lot, with some big threats like bulky Polteageist and Lokix. So im considering to build a team capable of handling common threats in the current metagame. Polteageist impressed me a lot so I prepared Tera Dark Pecharunt which is also good against Zacian-Crowned and Ogerpon-Wellspring. Corviknight brings important hazard removal for Kyurem-White and checks Enamorus-Therian with Mirror Armor. Offensively i found Landorus is quite effective, with high SpA donates it breaks insanely well. Kyurem-White provides the highest of legendaries, also serves as a scarf user to handle Zacian-Crowned, opposite Landorus and Electrode-Hisui. IDBP Zamazenta is a dark-resist and potential sweeper, also fix the Calyrex-Ice matchup.

week 3 vs Pannu (L)
:ceruledge::eternatus::slowking::darkrai::corviknight::landorus-therian:
With three excellent player: Pannu+QT+Atha, GGI is the hardest opponent in my way. From the solid scout I built this team around Covert Cloak Ceruledge and Darkrai. Those two pares well by pressing each others' checks: Ceruledge solos Ho-oh and Zamazenta, while Darkrai deals Ghost-type and Dark-type such as Arceus-ghost and Hydregion. After testing several defensive cores I settled Slowking+Eternatus+Corviknight. Slowking is EV'd maximize SpD for Eternatus, Corviknight remove hazards especially for Ceruledge and checks dangerous Hydrapple. Defensive Eternatus is added to wall threats like Ogerpon formes and poison Arceus-Ghost and Manaphy. Recently I've been favoring fast Landorus-Therian, with Smack Down it muscles would-be checks like Rotom-Wash, while also provides electric-immunity and Stealth Rock for the team.

week 4 vs frankjosh (W)
:rotom-wash::arcanine-hisui::clefable::necrozma-dusk-mane::great tusk::hydrapple:
This is my favourite team from the entire tournament. I had wanted to build around Arcanine-Hisui team since OMPL, and finally found the right context. Based on the scout i found fire-type is cool, after trying options like Volcanion and Blaziken we finally lock in with Arcanine-Hisui. With high Atk and powerful STAB moves, it can easily claim KOs with right predictions and god blessed accuracy. To build around it I made a bulky balance style. Necrozma-Dusk-Mane is EV'd to check Kyurem-White and Hydrapple and its weakness policy allows it to give a strong blow back. Tera Psychic is to hit harder (check the calcs below.) Hydrapple is made to outspeed Tinkaton to avoid encore. The rest sets are very standard.
252 SpA Kyurem-White Fusion Flare vs. 248 HP / 132+ SpD Prism Armor Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 151-178 (38 - 44.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Eternatus Fire Blast vs. 248 HP / 132+ SpD Prism Armor Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 147-174 (37 - 43.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ SpA Hydrapple Earth Power vs. 248 HP / 132+ SpD Prism Armor Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 115-136 (28.9 - 34.2%) -- 3.7% chance to 3HKO
+2 0 SpA Hatterene Mystical Fire vs. 248 HP / 132+ SpD Prism Armor Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 159-187 (40 - 47.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+3 0 Atk Tera Psychic Necrozma-Dusk-Mane Photon Geyser vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Ho-Oh: 410-484 (98.7 - 116.6%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
+3 0 Atk Tera Psychic Necrozma-Dusk-Mane Photon Geyser vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Hydrapple: 490-578 (118 - 139.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

week 7 vs AM (W)
sorry blazing i forget to bring Crabominable
:corviknight::eternatus::iron moth::iron valiant::great tusk::urshifu:
Heart takers has SammyCe and AM, both of them favoring offensive teams. The team building started with Treeko's idea of Life Orb Eternatus. To pair with Eternatus well i selected Urshifu, as Eternatus can press Clefable while Urshifu hits Slowking-G and Ting-lu. The speciallest set here is Iron Valiant. Choice Scarf is to aim at offensive teams ,outspeeds Zamazenta and +2 Adamant Ceruledge, with trick it can also cripple defensive pieces and setup sweepers.Tera ghost is mainly for Arceus. To handle the rest common gods: Eternatus, Necrozma-Dusk-Mane and Calyrex-ice, we fill in Great tusk and Iron Defense Corviknight. Corviknight is also ev'd for Kyurem-white and hydrapple.

Semis vs Damflame (W)
:rotom-wash::lokix::clefable::corviknight::ting lu::calyrex-ice:
Nightshades has Damflame, Ghastlypixie and Tbp. Some of their team sctructures seemd unconventional, the overall assessment led me to expect balance or fat teams. Preparation was challenging this week, we went through multiple ideas and finally settling on a Calyrex-Ice fat team. The team entrocefalo loaded in OMPL impressed me so I decided to rebuild it. I personally dislike teams without hazard removal, so I swapped Skarmory for Corviknight, which also checks Hydrapple, and added Rotom-Wash to wall Zacian-Crowned. Running Choice Scarf on Rotom serves some purpose: it allows Rotom to burn zacian immediately, and its trick is useful in fat mirror matchups, cripples key walls like Condozo and Ho-Oh that others struggle with. With wish, Clefable granting greater longevity and could heal its teammates.

Finals vs kDCA (L)
:pecharunt::samurott-hisui::corviknight::zacian-crowned::ting-lu::hydrapple:
Rematch against Heart Takers. Considering it had been four weeks since I last used Hydrapple and with few steel birds usage, I decided it was the perfect time to build around it. For God we pick zacian-crowned to maximize hydrapple'effectiveness, makes it outspeed recipient of eternatus' donation and eternatus itself. Choosing Steel+Fighting+Electric coverage Zacian-Crowned to pressures corviknight, tinglu and fairy-types,in order to help apple. Covert Cloak on Pecharunt is to solidify its matchup against Ho-Oh. Samurott-Hisui providing invaluable speed control, knock off and spikes supports, helps chip walls like Pecharunt and Ting-Lu to paving the way for our breakers.

At the end I wanna express my gratitude to my manager, for drafting me and let me play two thirds of the weeks. Also shoutout to my hardworking teammates and my friends who help me throughout the tour, without u i cant make it. Blazing hope to see u shine on ompl stage and take care lan123456 :tyke:
Wish Everyone who see this post Happy New Year.

:regieleki: Fortemons Team Dump :regieleki:
for all 3 forte players out there lmao

vs Duckycrater (W)

:diancie: :ting-lu: :dialga-origin: :slowking-galar: :regieleki: :alomomola:

This team is pretty straightforward: Leki and Dialga-O are pretty damn broken so they were pretty much lockedin, slowking-g is an excellent pivot as well as a much-needed dkiss forte Primarina counter (thanks to psynoise forte applying Heal Block for 5 turns and letting you bypass subs). Then we round it off with Ting-Lu to roadblock opposing Leki a little, and Mola is another really good pivot that also doubles as a solid Bax Check (being able to take even banded Glaive pretty well). Rounded off the team with Bpress Diancie who I feel like is really busted (much like other bpressers) thanks to its ability to set up tr and just sweep late game. Opted for dkiss over moonblast as I felt like recovery is unvaluable for a mon like that. Diancie also made sure I had options vs a dd bax. Overall this team I'd say still shows a naive understanding off the meta, lefties and hdb on ting and mola are probably not optimal, but they are not horrible. Feel like chilling water forte and payback forte respectively would be better, especially since leki's presence ended up deterring anyone from ever running spikes lol.

vs Fraise des boas (W)

:torkoal: :hatterene: :iron-hands: :cresselia: :kingambit: :mimikyu:

For my second game I was still looking for potentially broken techs, and I found something pretty good: Mixed Torkoal with TR. Torkoal is sometimes used as a TR mon in regular OU with Specs + Eruption, who is incredibly strong due to Drought giving you what is essentially another free specs on top of your specs. However this is even better in Fortemons because you can instead use Tork's HUGE base 140 defense for your attacks thanks to body press forte. This also allows you to spam Overheat with no drawback and go mixed with Flare Blitz to destroy glowking. This was kinda the key of the team, as luring glowking was very important to allow my Ihands set to function. Because it's drain punch forte and gking always runs minspeed, it would always be outsped in TR and completely nullified by gking as a result. So this team relied on Torkoal to break (which it's pretty crazy at, ngl), and this Ihands set to sweep. Note that I'm running a completely defensive max hp max spdef adamant set which is kinda unusual but I felt is really broken when you can just heal 50% off every move you throw lol. I also considered running bdrum during testing, but it felt unnecessary honestly as even uninvested Ihands will just kill everything at +2. Then I added gambit for good measure (prio) + usual TR setters and mimikyu as an emergency setter and called it a day, essentially. What I did not realize is how weak the team was to Cobalion, having essentially only 1 mon that can kill it (Torkoal). Thankfully Cress is goated and was able to take it on when the game played out, but if someone was to pick this team up I'd recommend switching Gambit out (it's not that crazy in Forte, it gets destroyed by Cobalion and VWave lunabm).

vs Plagued (L)

:araquanid: :iron-moth: :ogerpon-wellspring: :dialga-origin: :kleavor: :golurk:

This team was kind of a gamble, which is why I brought it out only during the week that did not matter (my team had already made playoffs by then). This team features only 1 forte, but everything is justified: Oger kinda destroys the defensive cores of gking + mola that everyone had been using up until this point, and you have low kick to hit the omnipresent Dialga-O; Dialga-O is Dialga-O; Kleavor is abusedly strong with stone axe forte giving all its moves the Sharpness boost AND free rocks on hit, Iron Moth was my speed control in case something like clear body pult showed up, and Golurk completely nullifies Leki (which would otherwise just spin my webs and ruin the whole gameplan) while putting out very big pressure with banded hits. Of course this ended up not working all that well (although there was a smaaaaaall bit of hax) but I don't think webs should be counted out as an archetype in forte, despite hazards in general being very hard to maintain due to Leki + various rspin forte users. For example Excadrill who is very common in this tier is literally Ohkoed by every member on this team, making sure it can never get a spin off.

SEMIFINALS - vs GlalieGoesBoom (W)

:indeedee: :deoxys-speed: :iron-crown: :polteageist: :hatterene: :alomomola:

This team was a gamble and a half LOL. Basically the whole idea behind running psyspam was that everybody was using modest leki, and that timid deo-s is faster than it + can abuse expanding force forte in terrain to become ridiculously strong. All the other mons are classic psyspam picks, with the exception of Vest Mola, who I can afford as a pivot here because hazards aren't as strong in Forte as in OU, so you don't need Ace or Defog Lucha and can rely on just Hatt as hazard control. Team ended up doing very well despite me getting all the worst mus rolled into one team (Ting Lu + Sub Heavy Slam Dialga-O + Potentially DD bax), which proves something about this tier: Fortes are very strong but so are items LOL. I think almost forteless teams can be very viable sometimes, and I feel like I proved it that week, being able to win despite being confronted with a difficult MU (and not playing my best if I'm honest LOL sorry team I made it come down to hitting double focus). If I had to change anything about this team now it'd probably be polteageist, but in testing it was doing very well so I kept it.

FINALS - vs FlamPoke (L)

:dragapult: :typhlosion-hisui: :zapdos: :slowking-galar: :ting-lu: :forretress:

This team is pretty straightforward, paraspam with double ghost hex abusers (Typhlo-Hisui lets you bypass the 1 same forte restriction thanks to the existence of the very broken Infernal Parade), and a little spicy tech in Forretress which I found in testing to be a very solid Baxcalibur answer and a pretty goated defensive pivot in general (sadly I would end up sorely missplaying it in the actual game, playing like my opp knew I had bpress despite never showing it before lol). Nothing much to say about this one; It never lost in testing, but yet I could never shake the feeling that it had some sort of glaring weakness. It has trouble getting past AV mola sometimes, but in testing that was never a problem (despite AV mola being tested against several times). Still not sure if it's good or not, but if you manage to spread para/burn you should win pretty easily. Dragon Darts over Meteor on pult might fix the Mola problem.

Overall I had a super fun time learning and building fortemons in this tour, and it's in no small part due to my amazing team (s/o heart takers!!!) and great support from duckycrater and Quackborg my loyal duck duo. gg to all my opponents :)
