Rules
  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

both are really good players and this will come down to matchup + practice but i think athena is more likely to build better into pengu

i find bleahey's builds a lot more sound but tbh this could go either way

PokeAAA: Baddy (65) vs (35) adriancosmoem
if this was OU then it'd be like 90-10 but theres not the immense knowledge diff present and ac isnt a bad player

i havent loved rofna's builds recently but i think hes still the better player overall

jb has had success throughout the tour but their builds are very fishy and they just have had great luck fishing correctly. thr def has more experience and can probably bring something solid vs the fishy jb builds

bleahey seems to have more experience with the tier and pix has lag support?? idek who plays lcmnm on their tier and while pix is a great clicker idk if they have what it takes vs someone whos had experience

i dont play this but im p sure baddy brings the same old boring fucking shit and it works so props to them. adrian is way more innovative tho iirc so idk. both are good clickers but i think baddy has slight edge but idt thats worth anything

jojen builds have been ??? recently like theyre not had but not perfect but idk who tf am i to speak? gloom also brings offense and that wins so long they dont throw but again who am i to judge??? Mewtwo's Greatest Soldier dont throw or im leaking the screenshot

jb plays somewhat more thoughtfully. While both bring similarly fishy teams, THR is slightly better positioned to take advantaged of jb's trends given their greater experience in this metagame and wider range of preferred strategy. Giving jb the slightest edge

Record difference – no idea what goes on in this meta
LC MnM: bleahey (65) vs GhastlyPixie (35)
Ditto, experience gaps appear very meaningful for this meta and from the perspective of someone who doesn't play the meta looks very undertiered, which favors mainers
PokeAAA: Baddy (60) vs adriancosmoem (40)
While the Nightshades have been getting lucky with their in-game matchups I think to an extent they are also genuinely skilled preppers, which makes this a relatively close one for Baddy (whose builds have been relatively similar so far)
PokeBH: Jojen (45) vs Mewtwo's Greatest Soldier (55)
Assuming lack of outside support. Pretty close imo, Jojen plays a little more solidly (though the relative lack of meta knowledge sometimes bleeds through) but their teams have been pretty questionable aside from a certain Block Clefable stall
STAB MnM: Quinn (30) vs RoFnA (70)
RoFnA's teams look nice to someone who hasn't followed SnM in years – I also think "random bs go" doesn't actually get you very far here, which disadvantages Quinn/THR's prep style
