maybe not every good team needs a spinner, but I never want to be in the position where they have 6 layers of spikes, stealth rock, 2 layers of poison spikes, and leech seed set up. I just want to have a backup plan for this situation, and I believe that every good team should.
My Celebi set works. It has great coverage, and I like it. I use Psychic not because I need coverage over everything, but over something specific, Machamp. STAB Psychic OHKOes Machamp. I need something that can outspeed and OHKO Machamp, because if He is 2HKOed, I will be confused after the first hit, leaving the second hit up to hax. I could, put a Lum/Chesto berry on Celebi to 2HKO Machamp with Grass Knot, but Life Orb is too valuable...
Celebi could easily be my scarfStarmie counter (even though I have never seen a scarfed starmie, why would someone scarf something with 115 base speed anyway?), seeing as celebi can survive a scarf ice beam and retaliate with grass knot. As Trogdor said, Celebi would be taking 3/4 of his HP. If I could make room for recover, this would not be a problem. I would gladly take off Psychic, but then I would need to shuffle moves and mons around until I would get something with STAB psychic or flying moves.
