one deadly salamander

Hi smogonites I have a rmt here that I want to improve. I put it together earlier and did just a little testing I did 20 battles with this team and it won all of them ,but a lot of the wins were by luck that the opponet didnt use a move that would have recked me. anyway its a team built around salamence because salamence is my favorite poke and can sweep through teams like nothing so here it is...

Lead

Rotom-W@ChoiceScarf
Timid 4def 252spa 252spe
Ability: Levitate
Trick
HydroPump
Voltswitch
HiddenPower (Ice)

Ok so a standard trick-scarf rotom lead simply trick a scarf to someone it criples or use as a revenge killer/scouter. HydroPump for a powerful STAB move that hits hard voltswitch for scouting and picking of weakend opponets and HP (Ice) for dragons and extra covrage.

Rocks user

Bronzong@Leftovers
Sassy 252hp 84atk 80def 92spdef
Levitate
Stealth rocks
gyro ball
earthquake
hidden power (Ice)

Bronzong works a lot better than ferrothorn for my team he can always get rocks up and accually remove some pokes such a excedrill and glyscor that both make a mence sweep hard. Gyro Ball is a solid 2hko against latios/latias and gengar were as its a 3hko for each of them.
Earthquake will crush excedrill who can't even touch me without a sd even after its a 2hko so bronzong is the safest counter for him. HP Ice is great for all those dragons that run about in ou ,and creams gliscor who cant touch him in return.

The freaky lookin, scary powerful Jinni thing

Thunderus@Leftovers
Timid 4def 252spatk 252spe
Ability:Prankster
NastyPlot
Thunderbolt
Focus Blast
Hidden Power (Ice)

This funny looking guy is nothing to take lightly after a nasty plot he can do some real damage and takes care of a lot of the bulky waters that give the rest of the team trouble. He can even defeat the ferro-cent combo. Thunderbolt is for a reliable STAB move FocusBlast can take carfe of ferrothorn and heatran with ease and hp make a beam-bolt combo that can hit just about everything.

The Revenge Killer

Scizor@ChoiceBand
Adamant 244hp 252atk 12spe
Ability: Technicain
Bullet Punch
U-turn
Superpower
Quick Attack

CB Scizor is the ultimate revenge killer with its powerful bullet punch and STAB U-turn he is also my best check for excedrill. With scizor I can use the combo of voltswitch and u-turn between him and rotom being able to rack up major damage

The Steel Killer

Heatran@Air Balloon
Timid 4def 252spa 252spe
Flash Fire
Substitude
Flamethrower
Earth Power
Hidden Power (Grass)

Ok I switched in heatran for magnezone to help the fire weakness and hp grass helps with the annoying water/ground type pokemon.
Heatran works as a great exceedrill counter as long as he has balloon or is behind a sub. He is also my answer to most sun team because he can wall and ohko most pokemon on a sun team. flamethrow is more reliable than fire blast and can still get the ko's I need anyway. earth power has great coverage and helps against opposing tran ,and lastly hp grass getis rid of the nasty swamperts and other water/ground pokes

The Giant Salamander

Salamence@Life Orb
Hasty 252atk 4spatk 252spe
Ability: Intiminate
Dragon Dance
Outrage
Fire Blast
Earthquake

well I built the team around salamence and he's my favorite poke and he can hit hard after just a single dragon dance he can sweep an entire team and there isnt anything they can do about it Outrage for a powerful mega STAB move that can ohko anything that doesnt resist it fire blast destroy skarmory, farrothorn, and scizor earthquake to take care of everything else.

Please tell me what you think I can do to improve it. Like I said I have 3 weak to fire so a fire resister would be nice.

This team is molested by sand teams. I suggest dropping Ferrothorn for Bronzong

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Levitate
Sassy
252 Hp/ 84 Atk/ 80 Def/ 92 SpD/ 2 Speed Ivs
Stealth Rock
Gyro Ball
Earthquake
Hidden Power Ice

Counters every sand threat bar Terrakion and Tyranitar, who you can revenge kill with Rotom-W and Scizor (Scizor can actually revenge Terrakion as well)

thanks I'll try that! do you think I need another fire resistor?
also I still need something to take care of water/ground pokes

You have two fire resisters (Mence and Rotom). That being said, replace hasty on mence for Naive. Intimidate lowers the foe's attack, and don't let that go to waste. I also back up the suggestion for Bronzong. GL

k and i've been using the brongzong for ten matches and it seems to do great i'm still fearing not having a grass type move though

Hey there. Cool team.

Magnezone isn't that helpful to your team, while rain would greatly help you out. It would let Thundurus run Thunder, allow Rotom-W to use Hydro Pump, weaken fire moves, etc. It would also help you against your sand weakness. I recommend a bulky set, as it will allow you to survive for much longer.

Politoed @ Leftovers
Drizzle
Bold Nature
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
-Scald
-Ice Beam
-Toxic
-Protect

Protect allows you to scout, and Toxic stall as well. Scald is basic stab and allows you to burn threats. Ice Beam is very useful as it lets you destroy pokemon such as Dragonite and Salamence. It can be replaced for Encore / Perish Song if you feel that it is not necessary.

I would run Lum Berry on Thundurus, and run Thunder over Thunderbolt since you have rain. Lum Berry is very useful, as it lets you set up easily on pokemon such as Jirachi, and can give you a much better chance against Blissey.

Since you have rain now, you can replace Fire Blast on Salamence for Hydro Pump. Hydro Pump destroys Gliscor, Skarmory, etc. This would be very useful, as Skarmory / Gliscor are big threats to your Salamence. Brick Break is another option to hit Ferrothorn harder, but Hydro Pump seems more promising.

Good luck.

baloon heatran can counter your salamence, and you dont have much against it apart from rotom-w, and hydro pump would be a better option than fire blast. and yes, sandstorm is a pretty big threat to your team so rain would be an amazing help to your team. i agree with getting rid of magnezone for politoed

Or Aqua tail :)

You lack a solid Excadrill / HP Fire Latios counter. The former can grab a Swords Dance versus Scizor locked into Pursuit and then sweep you clean; if the opponent predicts well, your Ferrothorn / Scizor will be blasted by HP Fire and then Latios is free to destroy your whole team with its powerful dragon STAB. I think a Bronzong would work excellently over Scizor. It has the same steel typing but it counters Excadrill very reliably and can even take HP Fire from Latios since it's not 4x weak. Plus, it can set up Stealth Rock, letting you drop it on Ferro for Spikes.

Bronzong @ Leftovers | Sassy | Levitate | EVs: 252 HP / 88 SpA / 168 SpD
Stealth Rock | Hidden Power [Ice] | Earthquake | Toxic

Good luck with your team!

Even though it's incredibly uncommon, Scarf Ape can completely wreck your team except mence (and if it carries HP Ice.... lol)

Anyways, I reccomend changing Bronzong for Scizor (like they suggested) and I also reccomend changing Magnezone for Balloon Sub + 3 Attacks Heatran (Sub + 3 Attacks to deal with Excadrill, and other possible switch-ins).

ScarfApe is extremely uncommon but I do guarantee that most, if not all versions will use HP Ice for Salamence and Landorus. That said, Quick Attack Scizor sounds pretty boss in order to take it out. It needs residual damage though...

EDIT: The lack of a base 100+ scarfer brings you to some problems with HP Ice/Rock Volcarona. Setting up on Scizor, it can survive a Hydro Pump under Sun and proceed to bang your team in the ass with super effective moves, or in Rotom's case, a really powerful neutral move. I really can't see much to replace, except that Quick Attack Scizor is sort of a semiviable check to it. Again, Stealth Rocks are required for the KO.

ok I switched my magnezone for heatran and so far my team has had 50 battles won 46 and loss 4 the 4 loss were to good rain teams...so my new problem is rain

min min I think quick attack will help a lot being able to get a little more damage on water types and fires so thanks a lot for that tip
