Onix is an LC staple due to its access to Stealth Rock and ability to consistently switch into Vullaby thanks to its typing, Speed, and access to Weak Armor. High Horsepower and Rock Blast work well with each other to hit relevant targets such as Mienfoo, Vullaby, and Pawniard. Explosion allows Onix to deal massive damage to foes such as Trapinch, Foongus, and Mienfoo and maintain offensive momentum by preventing Scraggy from safely setting up and Staryu from clearing entry hazards. Onix's ability to check Vullaby is appreciated by Foongus and Ferroseed, both of which are very prone to it. The two Grass-types in return help Onix by switching into Grass- and Water-type attacks from foes such as Grookey and Staryu. Foongus additionally offers a check to Fighting-types, while Ferroseed is able to check Porygon. Vullaby is another option that benefits Onix defensively, as it provides a Ground-immune and Grass-resistant Pokemon that can also deal with Fighting-types like Mienfoo and Timburr.

Vullastay didn't get banned, so we can move along with this spotlight. Firstly, I think Earthquake should be changed to High Horsepower to better reflect current metagame with Grookey being dominant.

Onix finds itself as an LC staple due to its key resistances and access to Stealth Rocks. Onix's Rock- typing and high speed stat proves valuable for checking common threats like Vullaby and Ponyta. Weak Armor allows Onix to deal with faster Pokemon notably Diglett after receiving an attack. (The first sentence is very vague and kinda applies to a lot of Pokemon. Condense down the 3 sentences and highlight Onix's role as a Vullaby check and how it can consistently switch into it thanks to its typing, speed, and Weak Armor.) Earthquake is Onix's best Ground- STAB to hit Pokemon like Pawniard, Magnemite, and Mareanie super effectively while still hitting a large amount of the metagame neutrally. Due to how damage of multi-hit moves are calculated in LC, Rock Blast is the best Rock- choice STAB for hitting Flying- and Bug- types like Vullaby, Wingull, and Dwebble with the additional benefit of capitalizing on Sturdy and Weak Armor users. (You dont really need to explain STAB moves. Just mention how High Horsepower and Rock Blast complements each other and hits relevant targets such as Mienfoo, Vullaby, and Pawniard.) Explosion allows Onix to both deal massive damage to foes such as Trapinch, Foongus, and Mienfoo and maintain offensive momentum by preventing Scraggy from safely setting up and Staryu from clearing entry hazards when it is likely to be knocked out, and can also prevent Pokemon like Vullaby and Staryu from potentially clearing off hazards. (You want to be more specific with interactions in this sentence. Vullaby will never try to clear hazards against you in a 1v1 situation like mentioned.) Foongus and Ferroseed both pair well defensively with Onix to switch into Grass- and Water- moves. They in return appreciate Onix's ability to switch into Pokemon like Vullaby and Ponyta. (For this section, try rewording the sentence to something like "Onix's ability to check Vullaby is appreciated by..." and make it the first sentence since this is an Onix spotlight. Mention Foongus also checks Fighting-types while Ferroseed can handle Porygon.) Vullaby is another option that benefits Onix defensively as it serves for a Ground- immune and Grass- resist. (Also mention how it can deal with Fighting-types like Mienfoo and Timburr for Onix.)

Please tag me after you are done implementing this info and I can stamp the check. Also, try to remove the spaces after the hyphens.

In the sentence about the Grass-types, mention some enemies that they take attacks from like Grookey and Staryu. This should be fine afterwards.
Good Work! QC 1/1

Might as well add in an AMGP check for good measures. Same colors as before
