Resource ORAS CAP Hub

I'd be more inclined to remove Kerf than MMeta from S.
frankly idt either of them deserve S, IMO the top 3 mons in the meta rn are pretty clearly some variation of Torn > kerf > exca/serp/mmeta

"MMeta requires TPunch in this metagame, and Bullet Punch has felt too useful to turn down."
tpunch isn't /required/, while id argue its its best move that isn't a stab you can def run some bullshit like zenbutt bp hammerarm pursuit, and then have something like toxic lando for bro / jelli. BP is also straight up droppable if you're not running Ada (which is by far my fav mmeta) IMO, its good for revenging the plethora of faster stuff in the tier (weav, mlop, zam, etc) but otherwise I feel its sorta inferior to BP.

while we're talking abt vr changes I feel like serp and mzam could be A+, necturna and volcarona and volcanion in A, mpins mdia and cofa in A-, and dropping keld to B+ I don't feel like clarifying but if spoo writes a sassy responds to these claims I might feel inclined to further elaborate

will keep this brief but i agree that both mmeta and kerf aren’t S anymore- i voted mmeta to A+ the last vr slate and i still stand by that, i think it faces more competition than ever in the mega slot and the mon simply can’t do it all the way it used to. kerf on the other hand took a hit after losing focus blast and i agree w garrett that the meta has adapted to it pretty cleanly since. IMO the top 3 are pretty clearly torn > drill > clef (maybe drill and torn are on the same tier, could argue either way), these 3 are just so indispensable to the vast majority of bo/balance in this meta and literally always pull their weight, feels v hard to build solid stuff without one of them. think some of pannus noms are generous, specifically mzam and nect- yea these are great mons but i don’t see zam having the sheer consistency or splashability that lop/meta offer, and nect is a HO staple but again not super consistent against a lot of defensive staples + common rkillers (yes it can tech for stuff in 4th move and whether it’s geo or SS but still struggles to hit everything at once)

Most warping:

:Colossoil:

In my opinion the undesputed best Pokemon from all the legal CAP Mons in this Metagame. It is literally a custom Pokemon, it has everything what a Pursuit Trapper always wanted. Great Attack statof 122 witha solid Speed of 95 for a Suiter. Thanks to that, it isn't reliant on Choice Item to further boost one of those Stats. Instead it most commonly opts to run Assault Vest it gets absurd bulky and easily tanks Hits like Focus Blast and will only get 3HKO by weaker effective special attacks at best. I should mention that with Guts you can't even get around with Will-O-Wisp and Toxing it to put on a Timer always comes with a great risk for doubling it already dangerous damage Output. So, it denies nearly alone all fraile and Status Reliant weak to Dark-Type Attacks Pokemon in the Metagame. On top of that it can also be used as solid Rapid Spiner since it can Knock of Rocky Helmet User which Excadrill only wishes in their dreams. Other Options like Sucker Punch or more niche like Aqua Tail, Crunch or a Leftovers/Dark Glasses or Greed Flame Orb can be runned but the most warping Set is the AV one which makes every Pursuit and Status Reliant Pokemona much more difficult time to use.
Tl;dr
All Special Attacker and Dark-Type Weak Pokemon might fear getting trapped or chipped for greatly damaged. It also serves as a Removal Option which ORAS lacks heavily.

:Crucibelle:
To clarify, I am only gonna talk about the non-Mega Variation of this Pokemon since I think it is much more superior. I think the Mega struggles not being able to keep rocks up ever vs drill and offensive Sets being outclassed by Mega Diancie. While I do believe Coil with Double Stabs and Wood Hammer has it place in the Meta since it can solo Teams on it is own. Back to Crucibelle especially the Choice Scarf Sets shifts the whole Metagame of ORAS with being to outspeed everything witha Base Speed of 104. With acess to U-Turn it fullfills a great role of a Pivot. It also is a Poison Type which is incredible since ORAS did not have many viable ones and flexibles to begin with.Other two huge aspects of it is the abbility to threaten Clefable and walling non Twave Sets and depending on Matchup non Knock Off for Years thanks to Regenerator recovering all the Chip. Also being able to live HP Ground once from Volcarona and basically always forcing it to run Ground as the Choice of the Hidden Power make other Counter more reliable. If you would not like to hit on the Switch instantly, you are getting outspeed in return thanks to Choice Scarf and threatened by Stab Rocks Type Attacks. Not only Volcarona but also slow Setuper must fearpotential Trick and beinf crippled that way. A set with Black Sludge can be runned instead to threaten Trick on Excadrill or other Steels to make a Stealth Rock Set more viable.
Tl;dr:
Crucibelle matches well into Tspikes and more Offensive Teams nicely whiel providing overall a good pivot

Other Cap who need to be prepped for (A- or higher):

:Kerfluffle:
With the loss of Focus Blast it lacks sheer power it needed to hit. The Specs Set suffers from Protect Spam and the Life Orb Set end up missing crucial damage. Unlike Keldeo who is very similair with great Typing and Damage Powerhpouses to Kerf it offers 0 Utility with their Attacks unlike Keldeo's Scald. It shines best loading into Fairy Resist Clefabale + Excadrill which some ORAS OU Teams have. The insane speed tier of 119 makes lot of the 100-110 Mons lot weaker and Fodder for Kerf

:Tomohawk:

Flying Type with non Rocks Weakness, beating both good Spinner and making Drill live harder with Helmet. Prankster and Intimidate are both good options depending what u want it to do and has Spin. Best Lop pivot thanks to Intim + Helmet and Taunt helps vs slower Mons. Best Sleep Pick defensively. Prankster + Haze invalidates a lot of Setup Sweeper entirely, which gives it a defining role + the Helmet Intim Set

:Krilowatt:
Heart Swap underated utility with the great Bulk. Hazard + Burn/Tox immune is very cool with Magic Guard and good Typing. Dies to Knock Off unfortunate but has insane Bulk with high 151 hp base

:Necturna:
Nice dogfish matchup fish Pokemon with Geomancy and Shell Smash. EIther 6-0 matchup or u play with 5 Mons. Needs correct moves and correct Set to win or might end up getting walled / Statused / Prio Attack.

I tried to explain some of Placements with the Influence of the best Cap Mons but more explanation might be needed. If anyone wanna engage in the Old Gen Cap Discord or this threat, I would appreciate it. Other reason for some differences from original VR might be my bias ORAS Opinion from OU. But anyhow, lets attempt to revive this

Team around Lure Krilowatt , I wanted to make up for dropping Heat Wave Tornadus so I can touch Steels. SPD Ferrothorn is decent vs standard Krillowratt sets without HP Fire. Excadrill is consistent and is the best spinner in the tier. Its benefits off sand and it’s a consistent win condition that punishes poor team building. AV Tornadus catches Mega Ttar with Superpower and Regenerator is nice sustain right now. Tangrowth, again, Regenerator is nice sustain and it Sleep Powder can shut down threats and paint turns for Excadrill to actually setup rather than playing aggressive. Thunder Wave CM Clefable is a win condition on its own that doesn’t fall short to entry hazards. Thunder Waving Mega Metagross / Tornadus is huge progress. Pursuit Rocks Mega Tyranitar traps Alakzam, Starmie, Paralyzed Pokemon from Clefables Thunder Wave, and more. It provides the team a check to Tornadus if your own Tornadus gets low.

https://pokepast.es/6ff7c5bcdd9b35af vs Foolycl (W)
Cofagrigus is pretty sick in this meta. It’s a defensive Ghost type that simply does good into Excadrill. It blocks spin and eats and Earthquake. Toxic Spikes forces trades & punishes builds without a Poison and Pain Split puts you right back in the game. Next I added a Gliscor. I wanted Knock Off to force progress and with a Scizor / Scarf Cruci, Clefable, and a Mega Scizor, I felt pretty well rounded into Weavile. I wanted to run a 2-move Clefable set this week because my Starmie and Scizor wasn’t really win conditions on this team. Since Excadrill is so good and common, I wanted to have Starmie in case Cofagrigus got low or Iron Head Flinched, I have like “the better spinner” because I win the 1v1 with Excadrill. In my game I think I had Thunder Wave and I think my reasoning is just if I wanted to thunder wave a metagross or any fast Mon. I rather thunder wave a setup clefable over toxic it since its magic guard ya? Pursuit Scizor was cope probably but you can consistently force progress into Alakzam and U-turn still brings things in. Scarf Crucibelle is offensive compression. I said in my head that “my opponent will assume this has a poison attack” and I really wanted trick in case I wanted to trick a Gliscor at some point. I really wanted Ice Fang Gliscor or just ice coverage but I think Gliscor is just an amazing win condition on its own and you should always keep it in mind from a builder standpoint.

thanks for drafting me Da Pizza Man & Concept Everything, it’s always fun building this tier

I got already out of CAPPL and now I want to share some of my teams and I want to give a huge shoutout to my oras teamates cloud and book and im_m0rtal. who had a blast bulding and playing and did an incredible job perfecting the teams and made and made it more epic and it was really fun having people to build with. With that said I want to share some of my teams, Pokémons that I think are on the rise and should have more attention on this metagame and finally end with how I see the metagame.

The first team I want to start is the last one that I used, and it was around mega medicham who I believe is incerdibly good in the cap metagame where the main physical wall is tomohawk who cannot switch safely on it.

:medicham: :kitsunoh: :tomohawk: :heatran: :krilowatt: :ferrothorn:
https://pokepast.es/16140f2e6d6e92a3

The main idea is to use medicham as a physical sweeper and do as much damage as posible, but is very important to set up hazzards that is the reason you have ferrothorn and heatran who is a good core in the cap metagame that let you check krilowatt and ferrothorn, however since this team is running 3 steel types it is a bit weak to ground type, however you have reflect tomohawk who deal with most ground types like offensive lando-t, colossoil, sd excadrill, etc. When I was building I was debating in if it was better hazehawk or reflect, but I chose reflect as it allows you to deal with mega metagross who is one of the most used mon in the metagame. the role of kitsunoh is as a revenge killer that allow you to deal with mmetagross (if it does not run eq) as well as revenge kill weavile. Finally I decided to add krilowatt to deal with tornadus-t and volcanion who can deal with this team.

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen6cap-954678 (here is in action)

The second team I decided to build around volcarona just because I noticed that most of the team I build are weak to kerfuffle and I noticed that volcarona is a great mon to switch into.

:volcarona: :metagross: :cresselia: :colossoil: :krilowatt: :tomohawk:
https://pokepast.es/0e45d911b6f74da1

The team is built around volcarona and the power it has once it is boosted, and of course it needs hazzard removal and colossoil is a perfect teammate as it can safely switch on ttar, as well as thunder wave latias, clefable to name a few, lum berry is very important as it para can be extremly annoying. Cresselia and krilowatt are in the team to stop bird spam which is an annoying matchup, as well as stopping opposing medicham who can break through our team if metagross hasn't mega evolve, reflecthawk allows to beat strong physical attacker and to provide phyiscal bulk if our team needs it such as facing a sand rush excadrill.

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen6cap-953172 (here is in action)

Also the biggests mon I feel like should rise are:

:tomohawk: to A+: This mon is encridible and you can run so many things like an offensive set, but I believe that its best set is reflect tomohawk with rocky helmet as it allows to beat common physical attackers like mega metagross, mega medicham, mega gallade, just to name a few. and it can provide a lot of support with rapid spin, stealth rocks, reflects and it can run many moves to cover other options like heat wave, earth power and aura sphere.

:krilowatt: to A-: This mon is incredible to put and is a good mon to put preassure on enemy team if it does not have an answer, the combination of thunderbolt + ice beam allow you to hit almost everything and with LO it does suprsingly a lot of damage that on the late game you can finish. as you can see on this replay https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen6cap-894726 krilowatt allowed me to keep the momentum of the game, and copycat allows you to hit and even to recover againt rotom-w as well as hitting back with a read and in my opinion is incredible underated.

:cresselia: To B+: This lunar pokemon is an underated wall that with the natural bulk and typing allows you to tank mmetagross who is in my opinion of the most used mons in oras cap and having the ability to tank it and provide thunder wave is a great asset and it can also run healing wish or trick room to provide help to more offensive oriented teams.

other than that I do believe the metagame is fun to play and I hope that it gets more played and developed. there are mons that I do believe that can work but it may need a bit of support such as :plasmanta: and :roserade: which are a great check/counter to kerfflufle which is a treat when building this game, and :roserade: in particular can provide sleep and hazzard support, however they are still weak compared with other kerffufle checks like londarus-t who I do believe should stay in S-tier as this mon provide a lot and it does not have a "direct counter" and u-turn and volturn teams in general are great here in ORAS CAP. I am really looking forward to how much this metagame can expand.

shoutout to Enzonana. GabrieLopez , ILSB HSBT who had been incredible friends to play cap and test some of my teams, since I do not have friends in the cap community is really nice having people like them helping me as well as helping them with this metagame you guys truly made me happy to comeback in this metagame.

In the coming days I will provide some sample teams :3

team dump :

if you dont know me, I am klefkiholder. I am, at this point, a pretty known builder I would say in ORAS OU? Just go look at this post if you wanna see what i've done but since then my activity has only increasedin the general community. I am managing in ORASPL currently for example, and I just managed US Midwest in WCOP (we blew a lead to LATAM before it was cool...)

So thats a little about me. I think its fair to say i am a prominent community member now in ORAS. But what I am not known as is a player! I am known to be quite the opposite. And this has been a source of contempt from certain people before towards me but I'm not gonna get into all of that. Like I was just saying, I do not enter much. I don't really enjoy playing in tournaments to be truthful. I generally work with guys exclusively bc thats just more fun for me. Its sorta like coaching in a way and just a cool way to connect with peeps.

So, after WCOP where we had a lot of fun as a team, spoo - my co-manager on US MW gets a bunch of us to sign up for this thing. I am like alright, sure, itll be fun to have a little midwest party as i benchride and cheerlead over here. I went 3k, as expected. Anyways - the guy wanted to play me. I had no fucking idea til i see myself in the lineup week 1 and he tells me how excited he is to see me work down here after seeing all I do in OU. And i cant be like "WHAT" cuz then he'll be disappointed so I had to roll with it. So thats how that happened.

I ended 6-2 on the sheet. So lets get into it.

First things first, just philosophically speaking like, I am a very aggressive player/builder. I like to apply pressure and everything has a #1 goal of pressure synergy. It is all about maintaining the heat. So a lot of that is offense. Also, a lot of what I do working with other guys doesnt really reflect my own preferences necessarily. I also have like a million different structures in ORAS I have ran and seen and analyzed, and also tried and failed to execute a ton others due to a lack of tools in the main tier. I'm a day 1 oras guy, I played with Blaziken on PS and all thats shit. This environment is cool for me because its got some cool tools, its less developed, and I can take risks on things I dont have the tools to do in OU.

OK team time

W1 vs crow crumbs: https://pokepast.es/288afdefb6e8d674

At the beginning of the tour, spoo gave me his whole builder. I didnt like it. I saw a million different weaker torn voltturn concepts and told him everyone that made these is a pussy. LOL. So I sorta disregarded it.

Like I was saying, I wanted to try to pull off some things that OU lacks the proper tools to do so. Where I went first was ZardY Spikes balance with Ferrothron + Slowbro. Super potent team concept, ferro able to knock some key Zard switchins, including the CAP ones but I didnt like it... I sat on it for a few days and asked for some other things from the boys. Spoo sent me this metagross blue-ish offense and I just knew it was my style so I wanted to lean into it. But the original is volt thundurus with helmet. I once again called him a pussy and changed it to the boomer LO Twave 3 atk set because this team needs that pressure from the offensive thund to function, which was very proven out in my game. Nect is geomancy, which just broken. This is my only Colo! More on him later. But I liked this take on blue offense, its got a ton of setup, is defensively sound too. Biggest issue is your immediate speed is not great and Weavile can be a real challenge.

I also ripped the worst focus blast ever in this because I was worried about orb recoil so maybe it should've been magnet. Anyways, the rest of the way I made everything basically on my own and they were almost always done the Sunday before the game. I was on a heater.

W2 v spammernoob: https://pokepast.es/c7f7b7fc5d81c401

I had this sort of fascination with webs. I also realized that I couldn't remember the last time one of my guys brought webs to literally anything? So I wanted to execute it here.

Asking the guys, they were suggesting Necturna as the webber. I thought that STUNK. I did. It doesnt do anything better than Shuckle other than spinblock. That said, it is also the best abuser of webs among the capmons due to its sketch mechanic and ability to geomancy, while being a vital defensive mon to the webs core, which lead wont be. Yes lead can tspike too but I think if youre using it to be the setter and not the abuser, you are trolling.

Red card on shuckle for exca. The rest is all just standard scizor webs from there. But Necturna, again to bring this up, solves some issues with webs in OU (that the ghost types stink!)

Game went well, quite a good matchup. Not much to say.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
W3 vs lostmemories: https://pokepast.es/41894be5f18251d9

So this is a fun one for me. I'm gonna say right off the bat this build is kinda scuffed and unoptimized. More on that later.

Around here is where I got more interested in adapting some of my OU stuff. If you go to the post up top I linked, you'll see a stall we used in SPL finals with Megazam. It is my most famous team now, its been used by others in some pretty big games including last winters invitational finals. Its one of my mount rushmore builds I'd have to say. And I wanted to see how I could get that over here.

At the same time, in tests, FaronAan farmed the SHIT out of me with CM Neviathan. I'm a huge Suicune guy, going back to Aegislash meta so this thing spoke to me and I knew I had to use it. And this was my take marrying those concepts. He was sub, but we went taunt here because of the Arg matchup. Spoo, pregame told me that it still lost to Arg. I told him no and didnt elaborate. The game ended up doing the talking there...

Again I went to the Necturna well. This thing is Cap 1 in ORAS by far. This set is a phys def set and super important to your hazards matchup, your drill matchup, your medi matchup and a few others. My sketch move here is Recover. I have a lot of unused Necturna stuff with the same set.

If you want to watch any replay, do this one. It is a wacky game. I did not play it the best but I did what I had to and hit the power whip I needed to. It looks like a disaster Nav matchup, but I positioned it where once I got the scald burn onto Arg (which took a while), I was able to calm mind sweep through taunt and PP stall all of Arg's drain punches, and PP stall Mollux to the point it was walled. Wild game.

W4 vs Steam Buns: https://pokepast.es/6a4c07a6c9724539

So this whole time I am working on WCOP too for some of my guys in main stage. I won't get into all of that but I am happy with how things went there for me, though the last few games were not my best. Anyways, no surprise I was working with praj again like in SPL 24 and I loved what I got him on for his quarters game vs Lusa. So I wanted to adapt that the following week in CAP.

I'm also sitting at 3-0 at this point but I don't think I am playing super well so I feel like I need to tighten up some.

All this time I am hearing about how Kerfluffle is the boogeyman. They talk about this thing like its Keldeo on steroids. And how Tomo is Super Landorus. It has unique role compression for offense, Healing Wish which I spam as is in OU on shit like Lopunny, Clefable, even Gardevoir, sets, etc. AND - it lets me shuffle around the specs Latias + Lando T roles with Kerf + Tomo perfectly while not giving up anything too important defensivelyt. So I gave it a spin.

I didn't like this build in the end. Its weird. I think Tomo sucks as an HWisher if hes also fulfilling your landorus role. He tries to wear too many hats and does none of it well. Kerf is cool on these as a hard hitting pivot. But I ran into AV Amoong the one fucking time I used this thing. And I really didnt play this one well to be truthful and I don't think these builds function well - as is. More on this later.

Hats off to Buns btw - I think he is the best player in the pool. Does cool shit.

1785109066117.png

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
W5 I sat out due to being super busy. Hisoka stepped in and won with a normal oras webs team. Shoutouts to Hisoka. Was super fun teaming w you. I love that you tell me shit i do is bad too LOL thats great accountability.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
W6 vs Enzonana: https://pokepast.es/9c5f6b568057af50

So at this point I am experimenting a litttle.... I didn't think this was super strong but I wanted to see if I could pull it off anyways. It came close. Again, I am sort of just bastardizing what I am doing in OU. Go look at WCOP finals and laugh at me for what the mew did there then look at this team. You'll connect some dots. But I was in a screens serp mood is why I bring this up.

Fidgit stood out to me as an interesting lead, due to having every hazard, spin, and support moves such as encore and taunt. It did its job quite well here. Syclant though is the star. This thing is BUSTED! It also probably doesnt need screens but its such a useful took for teams like this due to its coverage and amazing fast ice stab with a stealth rock immunity.
Bisharp + Thundurus is pretty formulaic here and potent. The last slot, I tried a few things and landed with COIL BOOM Mega Crucibelle. I needed something here that can check zards, Kerf, set up on them, weaken ground types (+1 boom) for bisharp etc. Endgame plan is almost always Syclant with this build.

Not the most fortunate game - as I got crit+full parad through the screen when I really needed the leaf storm damage onto Krill. I was fine if one of those happened but not both at once. But it was avoidable too so I don't want to complain really. Shit happens.

This is pretty unrefined i think but the base idea is there.

W7 - I subbed into SV. I won on activity. Yes I am putting that into my record. Anyways I made some slop and kept doing well with it in tests so I really wanted to play this one lol. Don't ask me what my answers are to certain things, I barely know what a pecharunt even is so... im just doing stuff here

I really enjoy jumping into new metas and taking a stab at making offense though so here was a fun take from me there. Again - wasnt all bad!!!

Semis vs Lostmemories: https://pokepast.es/1de2cb8796fb2cce

cook of the tournament here so lets give it a name (shoutout pannu). I'm gonna call this "Pent Up Aggression".

I actually spent the whole week beforehand doing something totally different. I was working on specs Syclant balance (with spikes on Syclant) with the idea being basically Ash Greninja. But it was always a bit off, I was cheating a big matchup, and it wasn't too easy to use. So I eventually scrapped it and the following happened very fast.

So the idea is actually very similar to my first team vs lost. I kinda got away from being scout heavy until this point, when I went fully back into being The Scout Guy. I also was looking at Mega Slowbro the first time around we played.. I knew I wanted to be really strong into Mollux, especially given the close call last time. I figured he may go another setup spam route (and he went way harder there than I expected even), and I wanted a setup mon that beats others - while having the rigidity to defensively hold against a lot of bullshit. My mind went to Rest Garchomp with hazard spam??? Rest chomp - SpDef sets - have been picking up in OU, which a game in WCOP where both players had it taking place even. And it is just the best mollux answer you could have.

Weavile fat in general has always been ridiculously strong, especially for the pressure you exert in the mirror. Its weavile, if you've played ORAS you know it is busted. But the problem is always removal options... I've been working on similar ideas in OU for a while without being too satisfied with any one answer. And the original version of this team actually is SPIN Necturna over my Mollux. But I changed it to Mollux eventually for some certain matchups (Zardy+Suit) while maintaining my strength into stuff like Keldeo and having Tspikes, while also getting reliable recovery instead of pain split.

Skarm is Iron Head pretty much exclusively for Diancie, but it is very important for CM Clef too as you will see.

My matchup is quite insane. The stall mirror is just not very playable for him, even with me ripping a bad pursuit early. I was super proud of this one.

Finals v crow crumbs: https://pokepast.es/e21a8830507843c7

Disclaimer here but we played this after the series ended. I was again proud of what I cooked up here though so I wanted to play. I got a fair bit fortunate in game but I think my matchup was ridiculously good here too and it wasn't the biggest deal.

So lets get into it. This is full on classic scout prep shit for me. Here's what I saw:
1785110714958.png

Here's the scout I had and whenever I do this, I am making checkboxes for myself later. Basically, I see cores demolished by boltbeam, I see the need to be strong (rly strong) into metagross and have paths to exploit it. I see Ice resists to be exploitable in general, with them all being baited in by Keldeo more or less. I see fire resists to be just weak, and its common to have massive weaknessses to fire. I see a shitton of Colo for us to abuse.

The first go around we used a Metagross offense and it did quite well. Similar to Semis, I wanted to revisit the base idea but give it a totally new flavor. Looking at myself, I realized I hadnt used Landorus. And there was something else I wanted to use.... Cyclohm.

Now, Cyclohm is something I am told is not very common or good. Its either max max timid offensive, or BOLD. I had my eye on this thing for a while because it is a Serperior answer immune to para, it beats ZardY, which is even better in CAP IMO, it beats Volcanion handily, keldeo 1 on 1, being likely to be 3HKOd by specs secret sword with just max HP. It beats Thundurus 1v1 if its the pivot set. Talonflames food.

And it does that by being Calm, so I brought calm Cyclohm due to its coverage, similar to Manectric, just devouring the scout, while being a unique answer to the above threats. And it put in WORK.

Other cool things here - back on the keld point, I wanted one that can bypass weakened Slowbro for Metagross. I wanted to also bait Mollux, bluff choiced, etc. So hes CM 3 atk with HP ground. Syclant, again I think is broken and was insane in the MU but he didnt get to see play. My Metagross is an AOA set and I chose what again destroyed the scout while being generally strong.

Now, I had the first 5 set. I loved that. But I thought I was too fat weak, too Kerf weak, keldeo weak, fairy in general. Then I saw Mollux gets trick. It fixed everything to put a scarf Mollux here, and I went HP Ice for Garchomp (which wouldve been good in the game!).

Again, the game didnt matter but I really liked this offense so I wanted to give it the time I think it deserved here.

The Spdef Cyclohm shit tho - mannnnnnnnnnnnn i cant believe that wasnt a thing already. Guy put in WORK

Here's the whole scout of me.:

Some trends I noticed:
- Literally a new volt immune every week
- Only repeat mega is Metagross in finals
- only 1 of kerf and colo which I was told were amazing but I disagree.

So there you have it. Real quick before I do a whole meta thing... Shoutouts to the team. I had a lot of fun with this. It was pretty shocking to me how seriously everyone, my teammates, my opponents, my managers, the other guys we had around, took every step of this. And I just enjoyed actually tryharding something for once. I thought it was funny, I was just so confident what I wanted to use every time and super early. Every build here prob took under 20 minutes of work.

It is cool to play something so familiar and yet unexplored. I think yall have been doing a great thing here and the balance is really quite good....

Shoutouts to all the hemos. Shoutouts to the pjerk, US midwest, the shadow dragons etc etc. Just a ton of fun here. I'll leave you with a quick ranking I did.

OK VR Time:

1785111496160.png

So yeah heres a general VR of just the CAP mons. My takes probably differ a lot from what is established so I'll just go 1 by 1.

Necturna - Clearly #1. does it ALL. Insane defensive mon with recover sets. Can be a spinner. Sets Tspikes without using Sketch, wisp too. Sweeping sets are even better. OU lacks defensive and offensive grasses, not to mention ghosts. Literally does everything. I was drawn to this one a ton.

Mollux - Heatran 3.0 (Volcanion is 2.0). Just super great for a lot of the reasons Tran is but gets even more tools. Worse stallbreaker but gets recover, can spin.... Poisons are really good in CAP and it just does a lot of vital stuff. Great setup mon too. I ran scarf of course as well as SpDef.

Syclant - Unreal offensive tool. Didn't try SD much but seemed quite good. Tail glow is busted. The speed tier is ridiculous, being above unmegad Zam, Serp, Kerf, Thund, etc with ice stab. I thought specs was quite good, apparently thats not well tried.

Kerf - Like I said I was told this thing is Thanos. Its definitely not lol, there's too many good poison types. But obviously its good and needs to be respected much like Keldeo, though I think it is worse than Keld.

Nav is just an excellent win condition. I looked at DD sets a bit, but it looked a bit lacking. I would keep it to just CM. Water veil invalidates talonflame entirely, heatproof is also good. Excellent typing. Just an excellent defensive tool and ORAS wishes empoleon had roost.

One thing it also wishes is that Keldeo was an actual defensive mon as the profile is too good for things l;ike Bisharp, Sciz, Weav, Gyarados. Args great, it gets unaware, knock off, taunt etc.

Tomo I think just struggles to outperform its on paper utility. It gets misused. Offensive sets seem interesting thhough but the problems arise when you try to fit all your utility into this guy as I tried and have seen others try.

B+: Krill just super solid, good typing, fat as shit. Not always better than Rotom though. Cant volt or wisp. Sustain is reliant on copycat. Strat is cool too, excellent speed tier but gets flanked by Zam and especially Lopunny too much for my liking.

B: I was really disappointed in Colo. It is just slapped onto a lot because it can spin. I think the AV set is just not good. Offensive sets (band/orb) are quite threatening but I didnt see it used much. Unfortunately, Colo is too exploitable and loses to some important setters. Again, it doesnt punch above its weight basically ever.

Fidgit, Cyclohm both niche things I used that I thought were very good at their jobs. Kits and the moth looked like it too but I didnt tinker enough... Kits might be too high here though, really wants healing

Spoo told me I was being mean on regular Cruci. Maybe. The scarf trick set did seem cool but also a bit like.. do nothing to me. Mega is such a limited niche IMO and every time I used or saw it it seemed a bit shit.

Rest speaks for itself, wish I tried Reve but eh.
