I personally prefer using Clefable to counter many of the new megas such as megamance, mega gallade, and even mega sableye.
I don't see how Clefable can counter or even check Mega Salamence. The damage calc is broken right now but I'm pretty sure the standard Mega Salamence can at least 2HKO Bold Clefable with a DD under its belt while Clefable can't OHKO back.

Greninja doesn't want to switch on a moonblast though.
It still checks since it can switch in while Clefable uses Calm Mind, Softboiled, Stored Power, or Flamethrower.

160 def lets you live a +1 double edge and ko back, but you are right Its a shaky check at best since It can't switch in, just revenge. I'm just waiting for this obviously broken thing to get out of ou before I touch it further.

If now a Sheer Force Feraligatr begins possible. It would be a interesting Pokemon in the new Meta, what do you think?
Well it's not possible right now, and it probably won't be any time soon, like Contrary Serperior. I don't think it would be too amazing either, since even with a Dragon Dance up it's still pretty slow. Sheer Force Waterfall would hurt though.

I should note now that Adaptability Skrelp is now available in ORAS.
According to various leakers. I don't think any of the other unreleased HAs are now in ORAS, but that one definitely is and it's probably not relevant in the slightest.

Doesn't Adaptability let Dragalge's Draco Meteor hit as hard/harder than LO Latios? Stupid broken calculator.

I mean it could be viable as a check to Fairies not named Gardevoir, since it has decent mixed defenses and strong STABs. Not having recovery blows, though, and it doesn't really do anything otherwise.

well, 97 SpA Adaptability Dracos will certainly hurt, but yeah, it won't be relevant in OU due to low physical bulk + being slow.

Oh man, Adaptability Dragalge is an awesome answer to Fairy types. That's weird to say, considering that it's a Dragon type...
I think Adapt. Sludge Bomb OHKO's every relevant Fairy not named Sylveon. I wish I had damage calc, that sounds really awesome.

I will piss my pants. I've been waiting for Sheer Force Feral for bloody ages and I really want it to be released. It's a personal favorite since I used to run a normal Feral on Rain teams. #fkcontraryserperior

Hmm Dragalge with Adaptability is cool, but wonder how it will promote it up (course i havent even looked at move tutors for it...)

Gonna be a fun meta soon though i think. Can not wait now to see what other secrets are to be seen.

  1. Other Tutors: Draco Meteor,
  2. TutorSource1: Bounce, Gunk Shot,
  3. TutorSource2: Icy Wind, Aqua Tail, Dragon Pulse, Iron Tail,
  4. TutorSource3: Snore, Shock Wave, Water Pulse,
  5. TutorSource4: Outrage, Endure,
With Adaptability counted its base Attack is around 115~ and SA is 146~ so it can hit fairly hard I guess. 65 / 90 / 123 defenses are pretty nice but I think giving this thing a place in OU is a bit of a stretch. Still I would use this over Goodra any day and people still use that in OU sometimes.

Dragelage is absolutely stomped by birdspam/psychic types, so I wouldn't expect much usage in ou. However, it could find a niche in uu or maybe ru.

Why would you switch Greninja in to a Fairy type? ._.
Thinking Clefable will use soft boiled, then you switch in Greninja to unleash Gunk shot on clefable only to find that you are DEAD by moonblast..

Subject 18 Edit: Learn to use the "edit" option...

Sorry for double post

Moonblast can't KO after Gunk Shot since Greninja resists it with Protean.

Also there's an edit button you could use if you don't want to double post. You can find it at the bottom of whatever post you want to edit.

I'm saying that it KOs on the switch in....

It actually hits harder with Gunk Shot + Outrage than it does with Sludge Bomb + Dragon Pulse despite the higher Sp.Atk thanks to Adaptability. Of course Draco is still a nuke that physical doesn't come to close to reaching (and its physical movepool is pretty garb unlike its special movepool). It'll definitely be usable in OU now, but it seems more relevant to the lower tiers than OU imo.

A semi reliable nuke that absorbs toxic spikes is situational but welcomed.

I didn't say it wasn't welcomed. I just don't see it having substantial use in OU, to the point in which it affects the metagame, as much as it's going to affect the lower tiers.
Yeah he is a niche Pokemon at best, I'm kind off curious if an AV dragalge can actually switch in safely on a Greninja. I doubt it but it could be a small boon to its usage outside of choice specs.
