Resource ORAS OU Simple Questions, Simple Answers MKII (Read the OP First!) (Now with 100% more Rules!!!)

  • Don't use mons like Cresselia or Mega Venusaur as their recovery move is halved.
  • Try to avoid using Tornadus T's hurricane in the sand as it has only 50% accuracy
  • Sand storm increase the special defense of all rock types on the field so the opponent's rock types might unexpectedly live a hit. For example sashed Alakazam fails to KO a healthy Aerrakion with psychic due to sandstorm's effect.
  • If your team is stall or bulky try to put leftovers on everything that's not a ground , rock or steel type since sand storm can wear down walls.
  • Sand storm can nab KO on mons with a sliver of health (e.g Talonflame after two stealth rock switchins).
hope these tips help
Also, Hurricane's accuracy is 50% only in sunny weather. It's still 70% in sandstorm.

What Pokemon is a good substitute for Keldeo ?

I am asking this because I do only WIFI Battles and I couldn't generate a legit Keldeo. So I ask what Pokemon can I use to replace Keldeo ?

It really depends on your team. However, Manaphy is a very good water-type wall breaker and can fit on teams that Keldeo finds its home in. If you need a counter for bisharp and Scizor, you could run Infernape (which is kinda bad, but w/e). If you need a revenge killer, try Scarf Terrakion. Azumarill can also work similar to Keldeo.

It seems the only things that ever get suspected in ORAS OU are things that make stall less viable. Why?
The goal of the tiering system is to make a balanced and diverse metagame. To give an example: Hoopa-U is a pokemon that can easily break through defensive teams and that is the reason why it is being considered for a suspect test; not because it breaks defensive teams, but because it makes the metagame a lot less balanced and diverse.

Trying to grab a Thundurus in ORAS. Is there an alternative to using Hidden Power Ice/Flying? Or is there a simple way to get the ideal Hidden Power?

No real alternatives to HP Ice I'm afraid, but Psychic can hit the main target of HP Flying, Mega Venusaur, while also hitting supereffectively Amoonguss and Dragalge, while Sludge Wave can deal with Celebi if that's more of a concern for you, with the additional bonus of smacking Clefable.

with EQs wide distribution, how are players able to use magnezone as a solid steel trapper.
Magnezone mainly traps Steel types that lack Ground or Fighting coverage such as Ferrothorn/Skarmory/a lot of Scizor variants.

It can also revenge kill stuff like weakened MegaGross because it outspeeds with a Scarf.

Every team is going to necessitate a legitimate ground immunity coupled in with a resist to begin with. As such a ground immunity offsets Earthquakes power and high distribution enough where it's not a hindrance to builds utilizing Magnezone.

Any other megas than heracross and swampert work well on rain? If so why?
Mega Gyarados and Mega Blastoise can work well b/c of the power increase to their water STABs, Mega Ampharos can work thanks to Rain's boosting Thunder's accuracy, Mega Scizor can work b/c the rain helps with its Fire weakness and because it can setup on Ferro, and Alakazam can work b/c Trace lets it handle other weather abusers (namely it revenge kills excadrill + venusaur in their weathers).

mega pinsir, mega gallade and mega medicham also work pretty well cause they can handle major threats to rain like ferrothorn, mega venusaur and opposing grass types fairly well (particularly mega pinsir). Using mega pinsir on rain makes electric types more of a problem so be wary of that, have a solid check for those and you will be fine.

Feint only really lets you outspeed and ohko Talonflame after rocks at +2, while Quick Attack is more powerful and lets you pick off weakened mons a lot more easily. QA is the more preferred option though
