My two biggest qualms with running Mega Abomasnow is that its speed makes it susceptible to being worn down easily (for example, being Scald burnt by an Empoleon it would otherwise beat) and that it takes up your mega slot.

There are so many good megas to run in UU that I tried using this set (or a variation of it) on the ladder a while back to moderate success. The speed EVs allow you to outspeed 0 speed Florges and slower, notably Alomomola, Vaporeon, Umbreon, and Dragalge, which Mega Abomasnow is unable to outspeed after its mega turn.

Also, Life Orb Abomasnow hits harder than Mega Abomasnow. It is, however, a good bit less durable with 90/75/85 defenses instead of 90/105/105, and also takes Life Orb recoil. That being said, its speed also means it takes less damage from slower mons that Mega Abomasnow would not outspeed.

Special/mixed movesets are also viable. Specially based sets notably can switch into Scald without having damage halved.

Pretty simple - Ice is a really nice attacking type, so enjoy firing off ridiculously strong Blizzards, with Giga Drain for recovery and Water types. HP Fire is for Doublade and Forry, who otherwise wall you, but if your team has trouble with Empoleon then EQ works as well.

EVs let you outspeed uninvested base 70s, with the rest going to mixed offenses and minimizing SR damage.

I'm on mobile right now, but I'll edit in some replays and calcs later showing what this can do.

EDIT: Watch this thing just take a chunk out of the top mons in the tier:

With the current meta this stally Christmas tree fits right in. Leech seed is the go to for this set as it gives Abomasnow recovery. Protect is for more recover as well as scouting common scarfers such as Mienshoa, Chandelure, Hydregion, and Darmanitan. Blizzard is for hitting things that dont want to take a leech seed such as Shaymin and Roserade. Giga drain is so this set can beat Feraligator and get some more recovery as Aboma gets weakened by entry hazards. You can go special defense or Physically defensive. Physical is for stuff like gator and beating Maero and non fireblasy mence 1 on 1. Special is for helioisk and offensive water types.

Blizzard kills Maero and Sally. Giga does 77 to 91 to ferg which allows it to recover enough to live 2 adament crunches from ferg. This is a great partner for late game sweepers as it forces a lot of switches and gives residual with hail and leech seed. Hope you like the set!
