Here I am, recommending the freshiest ORAS RU players.
...no actually, I don't think there is one unknown guy that needs (or that I'm interested in) to be vouched for RU, maybe LittEleven who's a cool guy that actually enjoys playing ORAS RU, but even there I think he already made a name for himself.

Just wanna say that I think osipova (formerly Noaa) would deserve to get in there. He is an absolute ORAS OU maniac who can also build and play RU and NU, as his showings in ORAS Underground and current NUFL (the former for RU, the latter for NU) show. While I assume he's obviously gonna try his best to get a spot in OU, if you wanna get a cheap NU slot he will be a great addition to the team either way.
Before you ask, no, I don't know him that much, but I always like to see motivated people in one of the best old gens of all time.

Best of luck to anyone playing RU besides Rarelyme and GoldCat and fuck Ruffles for not signing up in the Audino tier. I'm mad.

I would like to shamelessly advertise myself for ubers + ou in particular. I am deeply knowledgable w/ both tiers and have consistently studied with amazing players e.g. tenebricite, erz and even zaza. I trained my ass off for three weeks back during ubers wcop. My prepwork translates equally as well into ubers as it is into OU. I am looking forward to nab my second oraspl win this year

I want to take this opportunity to highlight a couple of my pals who I believe can do decently or possibly even well in OU, especially in the lower few OU slots.

blaab - He has been putting in work in the attempt of getting better at OU, I still think his plays are a bit sloppy but he is very keen on listening to his managers and peers so given the right circumstances, he has the chance to shine. As a newcomer, he'll also be greedy for wins as he has bigger goals in mind so this tournament could jumpstart those. I hope to see him play.

Waffleztastegood - A more innovative kind of player in the sense that he likes building and experimenting with stuff so I'm excited to see what he brings if managers are willing to give him this chance (they should).

TakingNotesKinda - This guy asked me to talk about him so... I've known this man for upwards of 5 years and this guy just plays mons for the love of the game, I think he can play OU fine but he needs to refrain from this 2 teams blunt rotation and pilot some other, newer teams.

Genhui - The Vietnamese starter, he's very eager to learn and play better, he has the right mindset but his plays set him back. That said, I hope managers are willing to give him a chance which I believe is very likely to happen.

Ithi - Everyone clowns on this guy and I respect that, he is also 0-2 against me which is fine but he's a serious individual when it comes OU, he will put in the work in prep to ensure favourable odds, his plays are questionable sometimes but he has the potential to perform well and I'm actually intrigued to see him on the stage. I also want to see him vary his brings.

Sna - For the record, her win rate against me in practice games is like 70%, she plays well and has all around good support backing her up. I don't know what else to say except she will do well and draft her.

Bored Pikachu - One of my day 1s, he's a super competitive individual who's going to grind a lot and will put in overtime to ensure the best possible outcome in his games. He is also a capable teambuilder who is always open to hear ideas from others, thus improving team chemistry.

Would like to advertise myself on here for the OU slot.
I'm a decently experienced player on the metagame, being able to build and play decently, while tour results may lack a bit, I have some good wins overall.
Apart from playing, I'm also a fairly dedicated player, always doing preps and scouts, even for my teammates.
I'd really like to get a chance to play this tour, as oras is my favourite format on this site, and I'd like to play and learn this format as much as possible.
Thanks for reading :]

Given the peculiar requirements for many ORAS OU slots this PL Rhyperiors will be hosting tryouts starting tomorrow. To anyone looking to show their worth, I want YOU to show me what you can build and play. Hit me up for any of these tiers: OU, UU, RU, NU, PU, Ubers. Preferably OU given the demand for slots. Link for the server below.

Keep in mind I AM a salary man so if I just show up at night -5 and there are important timezone differences... we are doing what we can here. Feel free to challenge Oathkeeper too. Everyone will get KICKED OUT of the server 24 to 48 before Draft date.

How could WE possibly let EITHER of the ORAS Victim of the Week cycle 1 winners go undrafted here?! :blobthinking:

So, you're a manager who is scrambling to draft 5 competent OU slots while remaining in budget? Let me help you.

Obviously, there are the standard players - players who main ORAS and have played them to success in SPL or WCoP, such as Metallica Noname or pj. Or players who consistently do good in ORASPL/ORASCL and are returning, such as Destro Always or Hisoka. However, I'm sure everyone has realized those are going to be quite expensive.

For your 4th/5th slots, there are multiple approaches you can take:

"Mons is mons, better clicker wins" - for those managers with this philosophy, I recommend proven players in tournaments that want to try their hand in ORAS:

Eternal Spirit - I have to start with my fellow SPL winner and clutch master, O MAGO. Just watch the last 5 weeks of SPL if you need any more proof. The fact that he's moving from SM, probably the closest tier to ORAS, is also big.
Endill - My other fellow SPL winner. Endill is a renowned SPL and ADV player, one of the very top, and he also consistently does very well in SM in WCoP, another easy bag.
hellom - An obvious good player with experience in ORAS
DugZa - A great player who goes positive in all the tours I see him play in, including SCL and even ORAS’d WCoP last year
sky - Sky (avarice) has some experience in ORAS not to mention a win vs. Santu and McMeghan 2-3 years ago in WCoP, plus a recent sweeping performance in SV UU in UUPL
spell - Spell is a great builder in SV UU and trying their hand in ORAS, which btw is surprisingly similar to SV UU. Combined with the fact that they firsthand witness ORAS play/prep at high level in Canada w/ Jyt/Always, I am excited to see what they cook
Django - Similar to Spell in UU but I'm slightly less confident, though I'm sure they'll do great.
entrocefalo - Entro is another one, winner of the Ubers open and has more experience in ORAS than the above two, very solid player.
4tup / Nemosse / HAVOCKNIGHT - rising players that I've seen farming side tours across different gens/tiers and would keep an eye on them.

It would be easy to throw Bouff/Spell/Django in UU, or Entro in Ubers, but I think with the demand in OU I really do think their talent is better used there.

"Knowledge gap > clicking" - for those managers with this philosophy, I recommend players who are up and comers in the ORAS field but have not had the opportunity to prove themselves or the experience. I would also recommend looking at data we had from last year's invitational where we heavily expanded playins:

Legitly - Played play-ins and won r1 of mains, on his way he beat Wesleyy and Persephone
Sna - who actually beat Legitly but had to drop out
awyp - always a good shout for cheap player that is creative in builder and can grab upsets
thajester / Genhui / Juseth sepulveda / im_m0rtal. - deserve a shout for improving in the past year and being legitimate options for cheap but good dark horses to bet on

Will edit this as more signups come out, so keep an eye!

I've been around in ORAS for a while now playing, managing, helping, watching and allat. Following pretty much everything ORAS related and i also wanted to let know of a few pals i genuinely think will do well

Bored Pikachu – Super super tryhard, great builder with excellent knowledge and clear fundamentals. Has helped me and everyone else whenever in need since d1. He just isn't as well known cuz he doesn't sign up for much tours but in the ones he does sign up, he's consistently done well. Anyone who's teamed with him knows how dedicated he is, and I'm confident he'd put everything into his slot

Genhui – already been mentioned like four times here, but there's a reason for that. I've helped him in a ton of tours and know firsthand how much he cares and grinds. Just need to clear his mental and point him in the right direction and he'll absolutely deliver

Less mainer, more clicker

Fdmw – ive watched him play a lot of ORAS lately, whether on ladder, random Discord tours, CNPL, etc. His SM skills have transitioned really well, and I think he'd do great. Not a fan of his team styles tho, either old looking or ithi

deaje – Played ORAS in ADPL and went positive. Solid clicker with good enough ORAS knowledge. definitely capable
