The Earthworm Pokemon finds itself a niche in Ubers thanks to Earth Eater and the unique ability to give teammates Substitutes thanks to Shed Tail! Body Press allows Orthworm to capitalize on its monstrous Defense stat to target Kingambit, Chien-Pao, and Iron Treads. Iron Defense allows Orthworm to boost Body Press while also potentially allowing it to wall Pokemon such as Calyrex-I and Kingambit. Alternatively, Iron Head prevents Orthworm from being walled by Giratina-O and Flutter Mane. Orthworm does not Terastallize often, but when it does, Tera Water allows it to set up Shed Tail on Koraidon and Zacian-C and softcheck Pokemon like Ho-Oh and Kyurem-B. Sitrus Berry can potentially allow Orthworm to set up Shed Tail twice in a game. Thanks to Shed Tail, Orthworm primarily benefits setup sweepers who may have hard times setting up a sweep otherwise; Pokemon such as Zacian-C, Calyrex-I, and Rayquaza thus all make excellent partners. Orthworm can't set up Shed Tail against certain Pokemon such as Ho-Oh and Ting-Lu; checks to these two like Kyogre and Arceus-Fairy make for good teammates for Orthworm.

Stealth Rock provides Orthworm utility for its team by setting up entry hazards, freeing up a moveslot for teammates such as Ting-Lu and Landorus-T. (kinda dex info, maybe bring up that Sitrus Berry lets it Shed Tail twice in some scenarios + you won't see worrm + ting-lu on the same team) Body Press allows Orthworm to capitalize on its monstrous Defense stat to target Kingambit, Chien-Pao, and Iron Threads Treads. Iron Defense allows Orthworm to boost Body Press while also potentially allowing it to wall Pokemon such as Calyrex-I and Kingambit. Alternatively, Iron Head allows Orthworm to not be walled by Giratina-O and Flutter Mane. Orthworm does not Terastalize often, but when it does Tera Water allows it to set up Shed Tail on Koraidon and Zacian-C and spotcheck Pokemon like Ho-Oh and Kyurem-B. Orthworm can't set up Shed Tail against certain threats such as Ho-Oh and Koraidon (you bring up that Tera Water lets you setup in front of Koraidon then say it can't setup vs Koraidon? I'd just remove the word "threats" and bring up Ting-Lu instead since Whirlwind is mandatory and Ho-Oh phazes too); checks to these two like Kyogre and Arceus-Fairy make for good teammates for Orthworm.
