ORAS OU OU Hyper Offense

kyurem-black.gif

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 20 Atk / 252 SpA / 236 Spe
Mild Nature
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Fusion Bolt
- Hidden Power (Fire)

Kyurem is one of the best wallbreakers as well as one of my favourite pokemon to use. It negates abilities with Teravolt, breaking through Dragonite's Multiscale as well as Rotom-W's Levitate; effectively OHKOing both of them. Hidden Power Fire for Ferrothorn and Scizor as I have no means of hitting them effectively otherwise.

hoopa-unbound.gif

Hoopa-Unbound @ Life Orb
Ability: Magician
EVs: 160 Atk / 96 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Gunk Shot
- Drain Punch
- Psychic

I decided to use Hoopa because of it's sheer power and excellent wallbreaking capabilities. It's versatile moveset combined with it's absurd offensive stats make it a big threat for opponents. It can also take a special hit rather well with base 130 Sp Defense and fire back an extremely powerful hit. Dark Pulse and Psychic for STAB, Drain Punch for coverage and Gunk Shot to deal massive damage to any fairy types.

metagross-mega.gif

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Hammer Arm
- Bullet Punch

My team had become extremely vulnerable to fairies so I added Mega Metagross. Tough Claws boost it's contacting moves by 33% as well with a base 110 Speed stat makes Mega Metagross a strong physical sweeper. I decided to run Bullet Punch instead of Ice Punch because Kyurem-B provides Ice coverage and Bullet Punch secures a KO on Mega Diancie instead of having to rely on winning a speed tie.

keldeo.gif

Keldeo @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power (Electric)

As water and fighting coverage, Keldeo does a great job. Secret Sword hits for physical damage meaning special walls such as Chansey cannot wall Keldeo. Scald can cripple physical attackers with a 30% burn chance. Hidden Power Electric over Icy Wind because of the odd Gyarados and because Kyurem provides the Ice coverage.

landorus-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock

With entry hazards being a big part of the game, I added a Stealth Rocker to my team. Bulky Landorus-T handles the problems my team had with Mega Lopunny and counters Talonflame as well. With Intimidate, this thing can take physical hits all day long. It also works as a great lead with U-Turn.

thundurus.gif

Thundurus @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Ice
- Grass Knot

With priority Thunder Wave, Thundurus provides speed control for my team which is quite necessary. Thunderbolt for obvious STAB. Grass Knot over Focus Blast as my team has a lack of grass type moves and plenty of fighting coverage already. Hidden Power Ice to deal with Landorus-T and Gliscor.

Hey! Nice looking team you have here, I just have some suggestions that might help to improve this team.

  • As of now, Mega Manectric, and Mega Lopunny run train on this team. So the simplest tweak for this, is probably opting to run Scarf Keldeo, which would also give you a way to revenge +1 ZardX, in the unlikely event it ever gets to +1. This also improves your match up versus Rain Offense.
  • Also SD Talonflame, under some conditions can go for a clean sweep; So you should probably run Stone Edge Heatran instead of Flash Cannon(also helps with ZardY); in this case you might wanna consider running Chople Heatran.
  • Also as it is your team has a terrible matchup, versus Sand Offense, so I'd suggest doing for Landorus-Therian instead of Kyurem-B. Which also stops you from being overly reliant on Heatran for Talonflame.
  • Seeing how Rotom-W kind of spread burns, really easily on this squad; I'd like to suggest Toxic Orb SD Breloom>Hoopa-U, in anticipation of Hoopa-U's being banned from OU(and also giving you an EXTREMELY solid wincon versus Stall).
  • EDIT: Like cfdba said, Keldeo is irritating to this team Latios could definitely slot in somewhere!

Thanks for the suggestions. I changed Keldeo to scarfed. Mega Manectric and Rotom-W aren't really problems for me due to Kyurem's Earth Power. Now I look back on the team, Mega Lopunny is a big threat for sure.

hi

nice team. i see a glaring keldeo weakness. you also could probably go for some hazard removal because both thundurus and kyurem don't like to be worn down by rocks all the time. because of this i recommend Latios > Hoopa-Unbound. you still have good wallbreaking capability in kyurem/what it will be switched for so im not terribly worried about losing a super strong wallbreaker. latios also helps you more with mega charizard y.

ok next up you need a way of beating sand, as well as a way to put some pressure on mega lopunny. talonflame also looks somewhat annoying, so why not try out Rocky Helmet Landorus-T > Heatran.

mm bisharp also looks kinda threatening plus you could do with some sort of setup mon so maybe try out SD Life Orb Breloom > Kyurem-Black. you can also try out toxic orb because it lets you set up on mega sableye and improves your matchup with bulkier teams

i think that's it good luck with your team!

ill put in the finished team later maybe, i think you can probably find the sets yourself anyways

Hey guys, thanks for the suggestions. I decided to replace Heatran with Landorus-T as my team had a weakness to Lopunny and Talonflame and added HP Fire onto Kyurem. What are your opinions on the changes?

Sorry, uh.... Rotom wash has levitate....

NVM NVM, forgot Teravolt

You may want to set Hoopa with a choice scarf

And maybe switch scald or hydro pump on Keldeo with icy wind instead
