Choice Band

:ss/Jirachi:

Jirachi @ Choice Band
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
-Iron Head
-U-Turn
-Zen Headbutt
-Fire Punch

Banded Jirachi serves as a pivot with impressive power and excellent coverage. Iron Head and U-Turn are standard, and Zen Headbutt is used to beat Toxapex and Conkeldurr while 2HKOing standard Rotom-Heat. RIP Heart Stamp, lost to Dexit. Fire Punch is used in the last slot to reliably 2HKO every relevant Steel-type in OU. This set is intended to repeatedly switch into Clefable, pivot out with U-Turn, and bring in powerful wallbreakers such as Conkeldurr and Kyurem. If all Steel resists are sufficiently weakened or removed then it can clean late-game with a powerful Iron Head.

That's all for the voting phase! By its results, the winner of the Cycle 12 is Doom Desire by Rheumatoid. Congratulations! Your submission will be added to the Hall of Fame soon. Ok, so let's start the next Cycle!

Cycle Thirteen - Togekiss
:ss/togekiss:

The second member of the Serene Grace flinch gang is here! Togekiss's nice typing and natural bulk let it take advantage of the metagame's common presences like Conkeldurr, Seismitoad, and Kommo-o and proceed to set up with Nasty Plot, making Togekiss a dangerous breaker and sweeper. Alternatively, Togekiss's access to nice utility moves like Trick and Thunder Wave lets it viably run a rarer Choice Scarf set. Certainly, Togekiss isn't restricted to these two sets, and we want you guys to prove that here!

Banned Sets
:leftovers:|:choice scarf:

The deadline is Friday 10th of April. Good luck!

I'd like to introduce everyone to Physically defensive Togekiss.

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Air Slash
- Defog/Heal Bell
- Wish
- Roost

This set aims to support its teammates (Notably mons like Seismitoad and Conkeldurr) by Passing decently sized wishes and being able to absorb attacks due to its honestly somewhat underrated physical bulk (or even overall bulk). After all, 85/95 defenses physically isn't something to sneeze at. Defog or Heal Bell depends pn your team, and Air slash is so that it isn't completely passive.

Gotta claim this whackass set before someone snags it.

Togekiss @ Choice Band
Ability: Hustle
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Play Rough
- Aerial Ace
- Drain Punch

The legendary meme itself, made less worse by Togekiss getting Play Rough this gen. I considered Zen Headbutt for Toxapex, but it doesn't 2HKO.

Amnesia Curse Defensive Sweeper

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Super Luck
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Amnesia
- Curse
- Substitute
- Fly

This set is pretty self explanatory. After switching into something that traditionally loses to Togekiss, you either set up a sub or use a boosting move to match the predicted switch-in. Fly plus Sub also means it is pretty easy to PP stall if you are so inclined. This is a bulky sweeper that only works in very specific circumstances, but when it works, it really works. Maximum Physical Defense as it's Togekiss' weaker defensive stat, so boosting it makes the most sense. Alongside the more immediate jump in defensive power on the special side through amnesia.

The most crucial aspect of this set is the ability Super Luck. You think I'm just memeing, but you would be mistaken. Critting opposing defensive set up sweepers is essential to the success of this set. Also, another important part of having Super Luck means you have less chance of getting crit haxed or paralyzed by lucky kids on the ladder.

Am currently working at getting replays.

Specs Togekiss

:ss/Togekiss:

Togekiss @ Choice Specs
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
-Air Slash
-Flamethrower
-Trick
-Draining Kiss / Ancient Power / Thunder Wave

This is intended to function solely as a wallbreaker, forgoing the ability to set up for immediate power. Accordingly, Modest is used for the increased damage output. After being brought in on a U-Turn, Volt Switch, Teleport, etc from a teammate, Togekiss can use whatever coverage is needed to pressure the opposing team. Most passive checks are 2HKOd by Specs Air Slash or Flamethrower, while Rotom-Heat and Zeraora are heavily chipped. Trick is used to cripple defensive counterplay. The last slot is fairly flexible. Draining Kiss keeps Togekiss healthy and hits neutral targets for solid damage, Ancient Power cleanly 2HKOs Rotom-Heat, and Thunder Wave can just be used freely against any non-Electric-type. An intelligent and skilled "Unga Bunga Paraflinch Spam" option.

Life Orb Togekiss

Togekiss @ Life Orb
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Thunder Wave
- Draining Kiss
- Air Slash

General idea
Here we have a bulky sweeper in the form of Togekiss. I didn't like the fact that the Nasty Plot set because you are forced out after a +2 SpA because you are facing some faster Ground or Electric type (Discharge) that checks you. You can have Flamethrower, but you have to forget Roost.
I think that we can try a different approach with the combination of Thunder Wave + 3 coverage moves.
Thunder Wave helps to spread some Spe control when you want to catch some faster switch-ins off guard because this status move isn't that predictable on an offensive set.
Air Slash is a good STAB with a strong secondary effect even if not combined with Thunder Wave, so it is always good to have it at our disposal.
Draining Kiss may seem a bad choice at a first glance, but what it really needs to be useful is a target weak to it if you want to recharge your health thanks to the "75%-damage dealt" healing factor.
The last slot is for Flamethrower, which is a blessing in order to deal properly with most Steel-type pokemons. On a side note, the 20% chance to burn the target is not that bad, either, so the opponent has to be wary of switch-ins.

EVs (spread) and item
A standard fast&offensive EVs spread is perfect.
Timid Nature > Modest because you want to have the possibility to KO Venusaur (not under the Sun) before the annoying Sleep Powder connects.
The innovation is the addition of Life Orb (+Draining Kiss) as a replacement of Leftovers in order to achieve some KOs and to ensure some 2HKOs.
In my opinion Life Orb > Choice Specs unless you run Trick or you have Volt Switch/U-turn.

Calcs:
252 SpA Life Orb Togekiss Draining Kiss vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Dracozolt: 268-320 (83.4 - 99.6%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Togekiss Draining Kiss vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Dragapult: 257-304 (81 - 95.8%) -- 50% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Togekiss Draining Kiss vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Dracovish: 242-289 (75.1 - 89.7%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Togekiss Draining Kiss vs. 100 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 135-164 (36.8 - 44.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Togekiss Draining Kiss vs. 100 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar: 203-242 (55.4 - 66.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Life Orb Togekiss Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Excadrill: 343-406 (95 - 112.4%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Life Orb Togekiss Air Slash vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Celebi: 304-359 (75.2 - 88.8%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Togekiss Air Slash vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Venusaur: 304-359 (100.9 - 119.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Team(mates) support
A way to get rid or to weaken Ground-types is necessary to use Thunder Wave efficiently.
Hazards support really helps to ensure 2HKOs and OHKOs.

Togekiss @ Babiri Berry
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Air Slash
- Flamethrower
- Substitute / Roost

Babiri Berry is a neat tech that lets Togekiss take hits from offensive Steel-types comfortably to retalliate with Flamethrower. Obviously you need to be a little careful with it around good players, who will probably spot the lack of Leftovers and try to figure the item out based on how you're playing, but it means Togekiss can set up as the Excadrill switches in and then hit it without being forced out by the threat of Iron Head, and versus Aegislash you can boost or Roost in its face before attacking it with Flamethrower, which goes a long way especially considering they're forced into a disadvantage state by Stance Change. You can also try to bluff Choice Scarf I guess, though I'm not sure how well that will pan out in the long term.

reserving work up

:ss/togekiss:
Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Air Slash
- Flamethrower
- Extreme Speed
- Work Up

simple set: use work up to your advantage and after you're on +1 in both offensive stats you can insanely damage with air slash and flamethrower and you're faster than choice-scarfed pkmn therefore you can revengekill them with your boosted e-speed due to work up.
air slash is togekiss needed stab and we all know what it does, no further explanation needed, flamethrower hits steels like corviknight and aegislash whereas e-speed kills off the scarfers in the tier like weakened hydreigon, rotom forms and dracovish.

I call this one "who's Chansey?"

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Seismic Toss
- Air Slash
- Thunder Wave
- Roost

Edit: The idea behind the set is to have a special wall with some nice resistances and some offensive presence while crippling enemies with twave. Seismic Toss allows you have to have a consistent damage source against all encounters since you're sacrificing offensive stats.

Remember to add a proper description to your set so that we know what it does and how to use it.
