Alright, the voting phase is over! The winner of Cycle 4 is Assault Vest by 2bainz. Congratulations! Your submission will be added to the Hall of Fame soon. Okay, it's time to move on to the next Cycle!

Cycle Five - Toxtricity
:ss/toxtricity: :ss/toxtricity-low-key:

Continuing our trend of special wallbreakers, Toxtricity is our next subject. Thanks to its unique typing in Electric / Poison and ability in Punk Rock, which it can take advantage of thanks to its movepool featuring Boomburst, Overdrive and Snarl, it can be a force to be reckoned with.
While Choice Specs might be the first thing to come to mind when looking at this Pokemon, it does have some other tricks up its sleeve. I'm excited to see what you can come up with!

Banned Sets

The deadline is Friday 21st of February. Good luck!

Toxtricity @ Air Balloon
Ability: Punk Rock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shift Gear
- Fire Punch
- Wild Charge
- Gunk Shot

This set aims to wallbreak with the physical coverage Toxtricity has to offer.
To bypass steel types like Ferrothorn Fire Punch is needed, and after a +1 it has the chance of OHKOing Ferrothorn straight out.
Gunk Shot and Wild Charge are its physical Dual-Stab Options, which can take on Corviknight and Clefable.

Calcs:
+1 252+ Atk Toxtricity Fire Punch vs. 252 HP / 24 Def Ferrothorn: 344-408 (97.7 - 115.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

+1 252+ Atk Toxtricity Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 468-552 (118.7 - 140.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+1 252+ Atk Toxtricity Wild Charge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Corviknight: 278-330 (69.5 - 82.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

As proved here it can wallbreak through many of the metagames top-threats and can take on other pkmn with this set.
Air Ballon is a given Item-Option with a lot of pkmn having ground-coverage/stab, that you are able to setup safely.

Choice Scarf

Toxtricity @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Punk Rock
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Overdrive
- Boomburst
- Sludge Wave
- Volt Switch

Alright the concept for this set is simple, you use to outspeed things that would outspeed and kill it and revenge kill them. You also take the most out of your speed to pivot.
Boomburst & Overdrive are very obvious, it is difficult to play around. Grounds that think can switch in will always get hit hard by this instead. Popular rockers like Seismitoad or Kommo-o even though this isn't specs, still gets 2HKO'd or 3HKO'd in the case of SpDef Kommo-o, from Boomburst. And mons like Corviknight get chunked extremely hard to Overdrive.
I think Choice Scarf is really good, mainly because of the fact that it isn't complete Dugtrio fodder, as it doesn't completely lose to Duggy and threatens an OHKO on it with Boomburst if it decides to stay in, making this really good in the meta.
Sludge Wave is pretty obvious, it is able to chunk Clefable really hard and Sylveon too but to a lesser extent. Able to 2HKO SpDef Clefable all of the time and Sylveon with 0 SpDef investment.
Volt Switch is for momentum, so things like Ferrothorn, which can wall this thing extremely hard can quickly just be a punching bag for momentum.
Max Speed and Special Attack of course, to take full advantage of Scarf and it's moveset.

252 SpA Toxtricity Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Sylveon: 170-204 (43.1 - 51.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Toxtricity Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Clefable: 218-260 (55.3 - 65.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Punk Rock Toxtricity Boomburst vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Seismitoad: 228-269 (55 - 64.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Punk Rock Toxtricity Boomburst vs. 252 HP / 116+ SpD Kommo-o: 141-167 (39.8 - 47.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

SUB ENDEAVOUR AND METRONOME BABY

Toxtricity @ Metronome
Ability: Punk Rock
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Overdrive
- Boomburst
- Endeavor

Another week another tech. Alright so, this set has 2 parts to it. All we ever click with toxtricity ever is the two sound moves, slap on a metronome and beat down switch ins that think that can heal your damage off slowly. Thats part one, the slow damaging metronome sub user. Part 2 is the TECH endeavour for ferro (if ur 1% you'll just kys but hey thats chip) or smth you just NEED to get down low in range of one of your other wincons.

This set isnt actually that good, but its cool and can get surprise ko's for u to be in a better position.

Modest Sub Throat Spray

This is the Toxtricity used since the beginning of Sw/Sh. I love it.

Toxtricity @ Throat Spray
Ability: Punk Rock
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Boomburst
- Overdrive
- Sludge Wave
- Substitute

One of my biggest issues using Toxtricity initially was being choice locked. Even when you need that power or speed. 3 of its best moves have an immunity, all of which are not uncommon in the metagame. That's when I came up with this set. Throat Spray is the Crux of this set, getting the power of Choice Specs without it being immediate, trading that out for not being locked in. Since this is a one-time use item, this set is best used late game to sweep, or to punch a hole in your opponents team for others to finish off. Sub is mainly for Duggy switchins, allowing you to at the minimum take it near down with you if rocks are up. It also lets you set up on more passive Pokemon. It's pretty self-explanatory, but I do really enjoy using it.

You should run Punk Rock over Technician. You may not have any sound moves, but you also don't have any ≤60 power moves, and Punk Rock still gives you a resistance to sound.

Anyways,

Toxtricity @ Shed Shell
Ability: Punk Rock
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid / Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Overdrive
- Boomburst
- Sludge Wave
- Volt Switch

Because Dugtrio.

:Toxtricity: Mixed Shift Gear :Toxtricity:

Toxtricity @ Life Orb
Ability: Punk Rock
EVs: 56 HP / 56 Atk / 252 SpA / 100 Spe
Rash Nature
- Shift Gear
- Fire Punch
- Overdrive
- Sludge Wave / Boomburst / Snarl

The EV's allow it to OHKO Sp.Def Ferro at +1 with Fire Punch and to outspeed Dragapult at +2 Speed. 252 into SpA and a Rash Nature to hit very hard with the other moves and the rest was put into HP.

Metal Sound

Toxtricity @ Throat Spray
Ability: Punk Rock
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Metal Sound
- Boomburst
- Overdrive
- Substitute / Shift Gear

(I know some other guy reserved Sub Throat Spray, if this set is a no go and overlaps too heavily with that one I’ll remove the Sub slash)

Metal Sound is a safe move to throw out against something you force out if your foe has multiple resists, something like Ferrothorn + Seismitoad + Aegislash. Metal Sound both eases your prediction and pops your Throat Spray letting you pose more of a threat. This set is fairly nice against Ferrothorn actually, doing a ton of damage after it gets to -2 (+1 252 SpA Punk Rock Toxtricity Boomburst vs. -2 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferrothorn: 175-206 (49.7 - 58.5%) -- 69.5% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery). Of course you OHKO basically everything else once they’re hit with a Metal Sound, besides bulky Excadrill I guess. Last move is kind of a toss-up since I don’t think this set needs a Poison move too much. Substitute is nice as it lets you ease prediction more on forced switches, also lets you juke Ferrothorn’s Leech Seed. Shift Gear lets you pose an offensive threat if you can get a free turn to use it, and works better against faster teams, where Metal Sound mostly only helps with defensive cores.

OwO *Nuzzles* (Nuzzle 3 Attacks)

:ss/toxtricity:

Toxtricity @ Shed Shell
Ability: Punk Rock
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
-Nuzzle
-Overdrive
-Sludge Wave
-Boomburst

Punishes switchins by hitting them with Nuzzle, then switches into a counter. Once the opposing team is sufficiently crippled and any Ferrothorns are dead it can go in. Shed Shell so broken Dugtrio can't trap it. Ideally, if Arena Trap gets banned, this can run Black Sludge or Choice Specs instead. Also fuck Arena Trap.

Just thought of something of an "anti-lead"
Toxtricity @ Black Sludge
Ability: Punk Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nuzzle
- Boomburst
- Acid Spray
- Encore

Gets some para off, things that think they can set up on you or get up hazards get encored into acid spray getting them sauced up for your big, BIG, boomburst. Absolutely destroyed by Excadrill if they don't say set up rocks thinking there's no way you're stupid enough to stay in on it. But outside of that Gear Shift physical set idk what Toxitricity doesn't get smashed by Exca.
