Garchomp @ Salac Berry
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Hone Claws
- Dragon Rush
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Hone Claws Salac Garchomp

This Garchomp set is a setup sweeper like the standard SD Scale Shot, but with the advantage that it doesn’t lose to the omnipresent Rillaboom. Grassy Glide knocks you to Salac, +1 Dragon Rush OHKOs back after rocks and then you sweep the rest of the opponent’s team. Salac Berry provides a pseudo-Scale Shot speed boost to help Garchomp outspeed faster mons, while Dragon Rush and Stone Edge are guaranteed to hit after a Hone Claws, which is nice as it prevents Chomp from losing to Mandibuzz if it misses SE. Dragon Rush is stronger and more reliable than Scale Shot after a Hone Claws, and helps make up for the power reduction of not having Life Orb. Magnezone is a good teammate as it can remove Ferrothorn and the metal birds, clearing the way for Garchomp to sweep. EV spread is the standard offensive spread. This Garchomp set works similarly to SD Scale Shot, is a little less reliable but stronger against priority.
Scarfy Chompy

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
EV’s; 252 ATK/ 252 SPE/ 4 HP
Adamant Nature
-Fire Fang
-Iron Head

With a above average base speed of 102, this chompy desires to be a revenge killer. Your main stabs are obvious inclusions, and fire fang is for corviknight’s, skarmory’s, and ferrothorn’s. Iron Head’s used for luring fairy types in, and ironing them to oblivion.

Garchomp @ Life Orb
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 128 HP / 128 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Substitute
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Scale Shot

Sub SD Garchomp

-Substitute allows here to lure all the leaders of the OU by passing him off as the classic set of SR setter and thus earns a free Sub and he can thus place a SD safety.
-Its speed tier of 102 base (reaching 333 with the jolly nature) allows, among other things, to surpass almost all the seters of SR setter in the OU (except those with the choice scarf). In addition, this set is rather recommended for sand teams as his sand veil talent gives him a substantial dodge probability (with Hippodocus or Tyranitar).
-Thus Garchomp can potentially create big holes in the opposing team at the start of the game or at the end of the game depending on the type of team with which it is associated.

Garchomp @ Leftovers
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 248 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Protect

I've been using specially defensive Garchomp for a couple of days now and it has been putting in major work every game. After Cinderace's ban, physically defensive Tankchomp's niche is a lot smaller while specially defensive is one of the best Heatran checks in the tier. It can also switch into other specially attacking Pokemon like Volcarona, Tornadus-T, Zapdos, and more, threatening with Toxic and getting reliable recovery at the same time with Leftovers + Protect. No speed is needed because it naturally outspeeds Bisharp and everything slower. This set so far has been more successful than physdef Garchomp in the past week or so because of its universal utility vs specially attacking threats, longevity with Leftovers + Protect, and ability to chip away at teams with Toxic.

0 SpA Heatran Earth Power vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Garchomp: 65-77 (15.5 - 18.3%) -- possible 6HKO
252 SpA Zapdos Hurricane vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Garchomp: 141-166 (33.6 - 39.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

I've always been a huge fan of CB Chomp, having used it extensively in early DP and BW(2). Props for inspiring me to give it another go this gen!

Cycle Forty-Six - Tapu Fini
:ss/tapu fini:

Tapu Fini is a very versatile Pokemon. Thanks to its great ability, typing, and bulk, it is able to supports itself as well as its grounded teammates from status through Misty Terrain, while checking threats like Heatran, Dragapult, and Hydreigon. With its Calm Mind set, it can be a strong wincon against underprepared teams. Even without Calm Mind it can prove to be a threat to bulkier teams with the combination of Nature's Madness and Taunt. Furthermore, Defog and Knock Off bring valuable utility to the table. Finally, it is also seen using a Choice Scarf set to revenge kill threats like Dragapult and cripple opponents with Trick. Do you have any other interesting set ideas you'd like to showcase?

Banned deucer.
whirlpool trapper with taunt

:ss/Tapu Fini:
Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Whirlpool
- Taunt
- Nature's Madness
- Scald

This set lures in Toxapex and traps it with Whirlpool and moreover dishes out a Taunt at its direction, Tapu Fini can capitalize on it with using Natures Madness to wear down Toxapex slowly but surely, as with the mentioned Taunt it can't use Recover anymore and can't use its other utility moves anymore. Scald is Tapu Finis STAB move of choice. Furthermore, Tapu Fini can deal with Slowking and Slowbro that way and weakens them severely with trapping them and taunting them to shut down Slack Off and Teleport.
