Standard daunt, just add switcheroo
trick your cb onto a wall
you can even run sd trick if you really want lol
lets you set up on a ton of walls but losing crabhammer isn't fun for breaking down knock-resistant walls

you know what would be fun? trick away your cb, sd to +6, and then trick again to give yourself the cb back
now spam aqua jet and destroy everything

Here we have a pretty standard Crawdaunt, but with the addition of Focus Sash + Endeavor to catch off guard some hard check/counter. Aqua Jet is perfect to clean the opposite weakened threat.

Nasty Plot Crawdaunt isn't something I thought I would ever really see but after looking at it's stats and seeing a very much usable special attack stat as well as an ability that boosts STAB moves, I had to make a set for it. Hydro Pump is quite obvious, a really powerful STAB that is definitely not easy to take, Dark Pulse is the other STAB, Sludge Wave is honestly what makes this set actually worth using, overcoming Tangrowth and Tapu Fini is amazing and I had no idea it learned it. Nasty Plot allows Crawdaunt to rack up power which is extremely hard to switch into, especially holding Life Orb and using the Modest nature.

- Crabhammer

- Toxic

This set eschews Fighting coverage and priority for Substitute to ease prediction, and Toxic to cripple certain mons that would normally scare the crawfish right out, namely Zapdos and Buzzwole. You still have Knock Off to make progress, and a strong STAB in fan favorite Crabhammer. Adamant is the nature of choice to hit hardest, and Leftovers are utilized to get multiple subs and help mitigate chip from hazards.

- Taunt

This set aims to murder stall mons that try to use haze or toxic to shut down it's sweep. Toxapex is a common switch in and it gets taunted and ultimately becomes set up fodder. The only stall mon it can't beat is unaware Clefable. Unaware Clefable just lives and kills it with moonblast. Even then, they can't even switch in. It's a guaranteed 2HKO without rain and a small range to OHKO with rain. Against every other stall mon, Crawdaunt does amazingly well. This set is great if you just hate stall that much. It does a really good job against the majority of stall mons.

Crawdaunt is pretty darn slow, but you can outspeed up-to Garchomp after 1 DD, and therefore can do a pretty good job of giving yourself an opportunity to bust through a more Balanced/Bulky Offense team that would otherwise have many ways of outspeeding and revenging the SD set. Crawdaunt is still extremely powerful, as Close Combat easily takes out Ferrothorn after a DD, and most non-bulky neutral threats still die without any need for chip - DD plus Life Orb is a fair bit stronger than just CB.

Physical ‘Daunt is walled by the ever-present :buzzwole: Buzzwole, and thus decided to turn to the dark side of the force its movepool. Mixed Daunt still packs plenty of physical power, but has equipped a powerful Adaptability-boosted Hydro Pump to help it blow through physical walls on the switch. Aqua Jet can be equipped over Close Combat for to guarantee the kill in plenty of matchups, at the cost of being walled by the ever-present :Ferrothorn: Ferrothorn. This set is obviously pretty prediction reliant to get the kill on Buzzingtons, but its a nice niche tech.

4 SpA Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Buzzwole: 315-372 (75.3 - 88.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

It gets Nature Power too, but I can't think of a single thing that Nature Power Daunt would lure and beat. If you can find a niche for it, cheers to you.

The main idea behind this set is simple: Get surprise KO's thanks to the magic of a humble piece of fabric. Typically, you'll want to lead with it and depending on the situation either immediately apply pressure through the threat of a boosting Crawdaunt or if the opponent decides to take the direct route and attack, simply click counter. Of course, this doesn't work so well against foes who are a bit more special-oriented, but that's what teammates are for. Speaking of which, I feel that this set works best with "dark-spam". Particularly with something like Weavile. Being able to pick off a Buzzwole, Urshifu, or Rillaboom with a surprise Counter could do wonders for a potential late-game sweep.

Having Aqua Jet as your sole Water STAB may seem a bit off-putting but I personally find the utility of priority more valuable than the power of Crabhammer in the long run. That being said, if anyone wants to try it out feel free to tweak it to your heart's content.

This is my first post in here. The idea behind this set is simple. You can use this late game to clean up. You would want to generally pair this with slow pivot (mainly slowbro). Slowbro helps it get free switches against landot and heatran. You would force them out into some other one. You can get a dd up on that turn. The sash helps u get one more dd but the craw will sit at 1 hp generally. It can help clean the game up. The lack of lo does not matter at +2. You would want to take down the scarfers and priority before trying to clean/sweep the team. It hits 458 speed at +2 so outspeeds most stuff.

Week 79:

:ss/toxtricity:

Toxtricity boasts a small but mighty niche as a mighty breaker with Choice Specs. Its unique typing and access to Punk Rock (which boosts moves like Overdrive and Boomburst) allows it to hit very hard and break common defensive Pokemon like Toxapex. Toxtricity's movepool is interesting, so I hope you guys come up with some good stuff!

Straightforward subtoxic set used to cripple grounds and generally get some damage off. Moveset is chosen as such without drain punch since the move doesn't do enough against Ferrothorn. Overdrive and Boomburst provide good enough neutral coverage besides against Ferro.

Modest/Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

Throat Spray+Metal Sound is a combination that gives Toxtricity some options the Choice Specs sets otherwise lack. Metal sound gives you a way to cripple a number of your switch ins such as Magnezone, Blissey, Heatran, and Slowking-G. In addition Throat Spray boosts your Special Attack back to Specs levels while also maintaining the luxury of being able to switch moves. The three other moves are standard coverage options, while two of them allow you to get a guaranteed Throat Spray off if the enemy team lacks a significant counter that you'd normally click Metal Sound for. Modest allows you to hit the hardest while outrunning many notable and common threats. Timid allows you to outrun Max Speed Volcanion and 252 Speed neutral Heatran, both of which could come in after a sac and easily threaten an OHKO to revenge you back.

Timid Calcs for low end damage output on checks:
252 SpA Punk Rock Toxtricity Boomburst vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Magnezone: 99-116 (35.1 - 41.1%) -- 99.9% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Toxtricity @ Choice Specs
Ability: Punk Rock
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Nuzzle
- Sludge Bomb
- Overdrive
- Boomburst

This set uses Nuzzle as a mid-ground option against forced switches, which guarantees that checks such as Dragapult, Dragonite, Heatran, and Galarian Slowking will be crippled. Overdrive and Boomburst are self-explanatory while and Sludge Bomb is used to annoy SpDef grounds with recovery, notably Hippowdon and Gastrodon. Modest > Timid because the extra speed isn't very important here.

Good partners include Melmetal, which appreciates paralysis support, and Landorus-Therian, which provides U-Turn support and checks opposing grounds.

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8ou-1606323171-xafw0g1yanngtrr5cofofpavurybf4opw

Nuzzle is completely irrelevant to this game but anyway here's Toxtricity beating stall
