OU Offensive Team

Hey so this is my first attempt at building a partially-competitive team (and posting on these forums in general). This team is a primarily offensive team, based around dealing hits, whether through tanking them out and hitting harder, or pure brute force and blinding speed

Mismagius @ Life Orb - Special Sweeper #1
Ability Levitate
EVs 252 Speed/252 Special Attack
Nature Timid
Moveset
Shadow Ball - STAB, decent power
Power Gem - Flying and rock coverage
Dazzling Gleam - covers dark type weakness and dragon types, as an added bonus
Nasty Plot - Basically a special swords dance. If I can get a nasty plot set up, Mismagius becomes devastating

Mismagius is my primary special sweeper, and my ghost type. Its solid 105 base special attack and 105 speed make it hit hard and quickly, especially with a life orb. Not to mention it's also my favorite Pokemon

Cinccino @ Expert Belt- Physical Sweeper # 1
Ability Skill Link
EVs 252 Speed/252 Attack
Nature Jolly
Moveset
Rock Blast - Abuses Skill Link + Coverage
Bullet Seed - Same as above
Tail Slap - Abuses Skill link + STAB
Knock Off - Coverage and knocks off opponent's item

Cinccino is my one of my two Physical Sweepers. Its moveset allows it to abuse its ability quite well, and knock off is a great move to have equipped on it

Reuniclus @ Life Orb - All-Around Tank #1
Ability Magic Guard
EVs 252 HP/252 Special Attack
Nature Modest
Moveset
Shadow Ball - Decent Power, Allows for neutral damage on some types that Psychic won't cover
Psychic - STAB, Decent Power
Trick Room - Gives Reuniclus the upper hand speed-wise, and complements Conkeldurr quite well, especially in double battles
Recover - Takes advantage of Reuniclus's great bulk and massive HP

I chose Reuniclus to be my primary tank and first piece of my defensive core for several reasons. Magic Guard allows it to switch into burns or toxic and break walls, and take no damage from entry hazards or weather effects. Its bulk allows it to sponge up hits that would devastate other team members, and most of the time I can set up a trick room and get a recover

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest - All-Around Tank #2/Revenge Killer
Ability Guts
EVs 252 HP/252 Attack
Nature Adamant
Moveset
Mach Punch - STAB, Great for revenge killing and crippling targets
Hammer Arm - STAB, Great power and lowers an already useless stat
Earthquake - Coverage, Decent power
Poison Jab - Covers fairy weakness

I chose Conkeldurr as my second tank and the second piece of the defensive core for several reasons. It has great natural bulk, and functions well under a trick room, staling it out if necessary to prevent my other members from being crippled by it. It also covers Reuniclus's bug and dark weaknesses quite well. Guts allows it to, like Reuniclus, take status conditions LIKE A CHAMP. It also doubles as a revenge killer, as mach punch is a great STAB priority move

Manectric @ Manectite - Special Sweeper #2/Mega
Ability Lightning rod -> Intimidate
EVs 252 Speed/252 Special Attack
Nature Timid
Moveset
Volt Switch - STAB, makes manectric a great scout/lead and gives me the switch advantage
Thunderbolt - STAB, Decent power
Snarl - Coverage, lowers target's special attack and makes it less of a threat
Flamethrower - Coverage, Decent power

I chose Manectric as my mega because of its great speed and typing that complements my team. Its ability turns electric attacks directed towards any of my Pokemon into an advantage for me, and Volt Switch makes it a great scout and also gets some good damage in. Thunderbolt is there for obvious reasons, as it's a powerful STAB. Snarl is for a bit of coverage and lowers the special attack of opposing threats. On top of intimidate, this can cripple teams quite a bit. Flamethrower is a nice solid move with great coverage to top it all off.

Scizor @ Life Orb - Physical Sweeper #2/Revenge Killer
Ability Technician
EVs 252 Attack/252 HP
Nature Adamant
Moveset
Bullet Punch - STAB, priority
Iron Head - STAB, decent power
Bug Bite - STAB, Technician Boosted
Swords Dance - Raises Scizor's already great attack

Scizor acts as my second Physical Sweeper and revenge killer. It's also a great switch in, as it's either neutral or resistant to every type but fire, which doesn't seem to be much of a problem. It has great attack and great defenses, and most of the time I should be able to set up a swords dance and hide behind Bullet Punch. It acts as a revenge killer because of STAB bullet punch, which should be able to take out anything that Conkeldurr can't take out with Mach Punch

What do you think of my first semi-competitive team? Leave any flaws, suggestions or comments below, and thanks for taking the time to look over my team!

your team isn't that bad but, you team has a flying weakness if you lose you manectric a talonflame can come in and sweep your team to cover that up i suggest getting a defenseive grass type. i would take off the halwlucha and replace it with a tangrouth. other than that your team also has a ghost weakness but your conkeldurr looks to have got that under controll, just change your conceldurr's EV spread to 252 HP 252 Sp.D that is all i got hope this helped

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll definitely have to look over that flying weakness. Perhaps I'll replace hawlucha with a steel type, since fairy could be a bit of a problem too

if you wan try a ferrothorn it helps on grass and is steel very defensive pokemon sash that think and Psy. fire types are fucked

not a bad choice ground a bit more effective on your team but you conceldurr should be able to handle most ground types

Why are you using X-Scissor on Scizor? Bug Bite would do more damage because of technician. U-Turn could also be viable, but also seems rather counter-productive with Swords Dance.

Trick Room also seems rather odd, with pokemon such as Cinccino and Mismagius being as fast as they are. But if it works for you that's great I guess.

King's Rock only activates once with multi-hit moves. Choice Band could be a better choice for Cinccino. Or Life Orb or Choice Scarf depending on whether you want to sacrifice some power for the ability to switch moves or whether you'd prefer the speed.

I like using Drain Punch on bulky Conkeldurr, although I tend to prefer bulkier teams so Hammer Arm might be better for your style of play.

I love how you're using Mismagius, I think it's a greatly underused pokemon! Cinccino as well.

Good luck with your team!

Thanks for the advice! Lol I totally forgot about technician when I was building my scizor, bug bite it is! And thanks for the info on the king's rock, I'll probably just use a life orb
