I haven't posted a team recently, and at my school, they're holding an OU Tournament on the last week of school. They do play with Smogon rules, and I decided to try to make a team and compete. It took me a while to make, but I am still kinda inexperienced.
This team was mostly built upon resistances, raw power, and bulkiness, in order to ensure long sweeping sessions. I'm not gonna go all out on this RMT unless it does well in the little tourney, so sorry about that.
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 236 Atk / 20 Spe
Nature: Adamant(+Atk,-SpA)
~ Stealth Rock
~ Earthquake
~ Bullet Punch
~ Meteor Mash
Lead Metagross is one of the best leads in my opinion, due to his great typing and ability to take out other leads. His main role is to set up SR, while taking out common leads with his other three moves. Or better yet, save him for later as a means of attacking. EVs are set to outrun people who try to outrun the standard
SPECIAL ATTACKER
Latias @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid (+Spe,-Atk)
~ Draco Meteor
~ Surf
~ Thunderbolt
~ Trick
Latias works well with Metagross, and can come in on any Ground and Fire attacks directed at it. Her main role is as a Special Attacker, and with Choice Specs, she's a beast that can break almost any Pokemon with Draco Meteor. I chose Timid Nature for the sake of more speed, so it makes switching in and scoring a quick KO much easier.
PHYSICAL ATTACKER
Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
~ U-turn
~ Bullet Punch
~ Superpower
~ Pursuit
One of OU's top threats, and a personal favorite Physical sweeper of mine. His raw power is what I need, and Bullet Punch allows him to pick off some weakened enemies. Most attacks aimed at Latias can be taken by Scizor, who can force switches. U-Turn allows me to scout and switch to a counter to Scizor's counter.
WALL BREAKER
Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 52 Atk / 176 SpA / 28 Spe
Nature: Quiet (+SpA, -Spe)
~ Substitute
~ Focus Punch
~ Dark Pulse
~ Ice Beam
I wanted to try something new by centering my team around this TyraniBoah. He's arguably one of the bulkiest wall breakers, thanks to Sand Stream, and having SR on the field makes his wall breaking duties easier. Overall, it's just the standard Boah set, meant to get rid of a lot of Physical-based threats.
BULKY COUNTER-COUNTER
Rotom-H @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Spe
Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk)
~Discharge
~Hidden Power Fighting
~Overheat
~Will-O-Wisp
Tyranitar's main problems are Ground types (Although Ice Beam handles them well), Scizor, Hariyama, and Fighting types like Machamp. Rotom can easily switch in to these guys, and get rid of these Pokemon that could make it difficult to sweep. Will-o-Wisp helps this team by softening up Physical attackers, making it easier to take hits in case some OHKOs don't happen.
REVENGE KILLER
Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Nature: Adamant
~Earthquake
~Outrage
~Stone Edge
~U-Turn
Flygon fits well as a revenge killer, as he gives me a nice Ground immunity, which I need, and he resists SR. (Something Lucario can't do at the same time). Chances are he'll get a kill in, because most of the enemies will be weakened by other Pokemon, along with SR and possibly Sand Storm. His largest problem are Ice Shard users like Weavile, whom either Metagross or Scizor can take down.
THREAT LIST (Only listing the ones that can do real hurt to my team)
Empoleon - OH MY GOD. I need to find a way to prevent him from subbing and what not.
Jirachi - He's so versatile, there's no way I can counter it for sure.
Kingdra - He's a tough one to take out, so it's best to have Flygon RK

- Changed the Meta's moveset and EVs to make it more effective later game.
- Changed Latias to a specs set
