OU RMT,just got back

Hey I got your PM and your right this is a tough rate,
So just things on your new Jirachi over Machamp choice. If you want to stay with your Jirachi then keep that set it seems like an effective set. I would maybe change Trick for U-Turn because I can not see using Jirachi with this set after you lose your scarf. Also what Pokemon would you trick that you could not beat already. U-Turn adds that scouting you where looking for. The other moves should stay though.

But if you have been thinking about changing it you could use a Flygon over it. It's weaknesses are about the same as Latias and Salamence but that is covered by Scizor, Metagross, and Suicune. So here is the set I would recommend:

Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Nature Naughty

Evs 4 HP 252 Atk 252 Spe
Moves
- U-Turn
- Dragon Claw/Outrage
- Earthquake
- Heat wave/Fire Blast/Flamethrower

Well this one I think could work and is worth the testing. I say this because he can Revenge Magnezone with it's choice of special fire moves or Earthquake. U-turn is obviously for scouting. Dragon Claw is a basic STAB move -OR- Outrage which has more power but can get you revenge killed your self easily I would say dragon claw. Earthquake is for STAB and some steels. Either one of the special fire moves also get steels that are immune to Earthquake (magnet rise Magnezone, Skarmory, Levitate Bronzong.) This set is an effective revenge killer and scouter. He may get rid of steels such as Magnezone more reliably because of his more options and the ability to switch out. Even though this puts 3 Dragons on your team Jirachi would put 3 steels on you team maybe even making you worse to Magnezone.

Well I hope you get to test this and good luck, Hope I helped some.

I've been considering dropping Mence for Flygon and going with a different DD sweeper,so maybe I'll play with Flygon a while-will see.

I've changed Jirachi to U-Turn,I agree..he's kind of worthless after his scarf is gone.

It was usually used to lock Pokemon trying to setup into something so I could force them out, don't guess that's worth a spot though.

Thank you, will definitely be playing around with your suggestions.

@ Red rum.

First off,I don't use Scizor as a sweeper,he is for scouting.

Therefore,I have no use for your set..CB fits what I'm using him for much, much better then a SD set.

I don't really like counter leads, and I don't care much for Agilgross(or any other Metagross sweeper sets).

Mence is as he is because I need a physical attacker,Latias and Suicune have the special attacking spectrum covered..Fire Blast is just in there to stop steels from walling me and ending my sweep.

Thank you for the recommendations,though.

EDIT:I've been playing around with Flygon,he's incredible as a late game sweeper and I really love having another copy of EQ..I may change Mence out and keep Flygon.

Will see,Gyarados could be an option since he covers my fire and ice weakness, and is a usable Pokemon to replace Mence.

@ pkmntrainerblue under me.

Yeah,I was considering an offensive Dos,Mence really pointless when I have Flygon around,I feel I can do much better with a different sweeper with better coverage, will definately be testing Gyarados out.

Ok got the new PM and glad I could help =D,
Well in your PM and on this thread you said that you were thinking about putting in a Gyrados. I would say this is a good call. Since you have 3 Pokemon with weaknesses to ice and this would cut it down to 2. You can run an extremely similar to your Salamence ( You would be replacing Salamence Btw) a DD set. But I will give you the choice between the bulky Gyrados and the heavy offensive Gyrados (Both are DD sets)

Well here is the Bulky one (look at the StrategyDex for more options on this set)

Gyrados @ Leftovers
nature Adamant
evs 156 HP / 72 Atk / 96 Def / 184 Spe (evs copied from StrategyDex because I suck at evs spreads :/)
Moves
- Dragon Dance
- Taunt -OR- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Waterfall

Ok Dragon Dance self explanatory. The taunt vs. Earthquake argument it depends if you have trouble with set up sweepers because Taunt will stop them in their tracks if not run Earthquake for the good attacking and coverage move. Stone Edge for flying types. Waterfall for a great STAB move. Leftovers for the ability to stick around for a while. This set is good if you want him to prevent sweeps and stick around and maybe sweep on it's own.

-OR-

The offensive one

Gyrados @ Life Orb
Nature Adamant
evs 4 HP 252 Atk 252 Spe
Moves
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Well this set is very similar to the former set but it packs a harder punch and is a good bit quicker. He is more geared to the role of pure sweeping and will not still around as long as the bulky set but again it is faster and does a lot more damage.

Other Options would include using Aqua Tail over waterfall on either set because it hits a bit harder but has a chance of missing and does not have a 10% flinch rate as does Waterfall. Also you could use bounce over Earthquake/taunt or stone edge on the first set and earthquake or stone edge on the second set.

Well I hope this rate helps improve your team even more.

Ok.

Big changes.
Currently I have a DDDos over Salamence,a ScarfFlygon over Jirachi and a LOHeatran over Suicune.

This is working great, best team I've played with to date I think.

I have a problem though, the team is so drastically different I'm not sure I should update this thread with the changes.

Will decide soon, may end up posting another RMT once this one's 2 weeks are up.
