First off, could someone please tell me how to put pictures of the Pokemon here?
Team at a glance:
Forretress
Rotom
Blissey
Suicune
Skarmory
Hippowdon
In depth:
The Lead:
The OH GOD NO (Forretress) @ Leftovers
Sturdy
Relaxed 252 HP, 252 Defense, 6 Attack
-Toxic Spikes
-Stealth Rock
-Gyro Ball
-Rapid Spin
Sets up Stealth Rock and Toxic Spikes. Gyro Ball for damage and Aerodactyl leads. Rapid Spin's purpose is obvious. If the opponent's lead is one of the three Psychics from DPP, I switch to Blissey. If not, I try to at least get Stealth Rock up. I try to get this guy out later in the game if I can't fully set up early. He plays a real key role, but then again most of the team does. Not much to say.
Rapid Spin Blocker:
lol (Rotom-H) @ Leftovers
Levitate
Modest 108 HP, 180 Special Attack, 220 Special Defense
-Overheat
-Will-O-Wisp
-Thunderbolt
-Rest
This guy I'm not sure on. The EVs were my own doing and I have no real purpose when I place them. I need help with that. He's a basic Rapid Spin blocker that throws out some damage too. Thunderbolt and Overheat are normally what you'd expect on a Rotom-H. Will-O-Wisp is there for those that are Toxic immune. Rest is there for the lack of a recovery move and the fact that he dies fast. Should I keep with it and Leftovers or switch to a Trick/Choice item combo? I use this guy for special attacks when Blissey and Suicune fail and also to counter Skarmory and Staryu.
Special Wall:
GWUAHAHAH (Blissey) @ Leftovers
Natural Cure
Calm 252 HP, 252 Special Defense, 6 Speed
-Protect
-Wish
-Seismic Toss
-Toxic
The special attack killer. Anything that does not have a physical attack or is named Gengar falls to it. Toxic is for when Toxic Spikes fail. Seismic Toss for reliable damage against all but ghosts, which I try to stall out with Toxic(Gengar is immune). Wish for self healing or team healing, depending on which I can manage. All-in-all a basic run-of-the-mill Blissey.
The Dragon Slayer:
I C WUT U DID (Suicune) @ Leftovers
Pressure
Calm 120 HP, 190 Special Attack, 200 Special Defense
-Ice Beam
-Surf
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
I pull this guy in whenever there's a Dragon, Ground, or Fire Pokemon around. He counters Heatran pretty hardcore, but Infernape is still a problem. Rest + Sleep Talk for self-utility, healing, and damage while he's doing it. Sometimes needed for Gengars since he can take their Electric attacks better than Rotom can take Shadow Ball.
Anti-Set up:
BOXXY (Skarmory) @ Leftovers
Keen Eye
Impish 252 HP, 64 Attack, 16 Speed, 176 Defense
-Roost
-Brave Bird
-Spikes
-Whirlwind
The killer of those pesky substitutes and Sword Dancers. I took the EV spread and moveset straight from Smogon. Spikes for the obvious damage while switching out, Whirlwind for when things get messy, Roost for self reliability, and Brave Bird for the damage. He makes a good non-Taunt Gyarados counter. Scizor and Breloom also fear him, but Breloom is a problem if Spore gets off.
Physical Wall and Sandstreamer:
TROLLIN (Hippowdon) @ Leftovers
Sand Stream
Impish 252 HP, 168 Defense, 88 Special Defense
-Fire Fang
-Ice Fang
-Stealth Rock
-Slack Off
The first thing you probably notice is the fact that he has no STAB and instead has both Fire and Ice Fang. This is really for type coverage. I haven't encountered a moment where I thought "Oh ****, I need an Earthquake NOW". Fire Fang counters Steels and Ice Fang for Rock/Ground. The added bonus is that I can hit Levitaters, Grass, and Dragon types too. Stealth Rock is for when Forretress kicks the bucket and Slack off is for self-healing. Sand Stream is key as well as it wears away the other team but only damages half of mine, but I don't like to use this guy for a lead. I prefer to bring him in when I need a physical wall or the opponent has only a few % needed for a KO. I tend to bring him in and Slack Off and let Sand Stream kill the opponent if that happens.
Well that's the team. The three Pokemon that give me problems are Breloom, Taunting Gyarados, and Infernape. I'm also a huge fan of Leftovers, as you can see. Changes will be done in bold. Thanks in advance.
