Adaptability + Galvantula
Trappers are annoying
Something walled by ghost types...nah
Tinted lens wouldve helped so much more before fairies
Adaptability makes Galvantula more like a fast wall breaker, plus I like a good comeback

EVERYBODY STOP RUINING MY THREAD Love you.

I feel like this was a little rushed, but I was busy this week and neglected posting most of my thoughts. I'm pretty torn here. I really, REALLY like Normalize Regigias; however, I am drawn to Arena Trap Mega Steelix.

Mega Steelix + Arena Trap gets my vote because I want to make as many of the existing Mega Evolutions as viable as possible.

Sorry Regigigas--maybe you'll get it in the next Second Rounders slate we do...

Argh, evenly split between Mega Steelix and Regigigas.

Normalize Regigigas would be a lot of fun, but I'm going to go with Arena Trap Mega Steelix since its not my suggestion.

After waiting a bit over 24 hours, the polls for the next president of the United States are in! This was a tough matchup, with a landslide of votes for one of the slithery snakes in office; and I'm not talking about the Pokemon! While some were calling for a comeback on one little bugger that certainly knows how to adapt, this did not occur. Mr. Regi G. Igas was a close second, well, not exactly close, but they were the most normal of the bunch in my unbiased opinion! However, a real land's wrath was not enough for our vision-impaired friend, Zygarde. And thus, our next president is:

208-m.png

Arena Trap Mega Steelix! With a shocking 26 votes for it to be put in office; good luck escaping this one!

  • M-Steelix - 26
  • Galv - 6
  • Regi - 8
  • Zygarde - 27 0

Now we must run for state senate! Who will it be?

The Simple, yet intelligent Simple Mega Audino!

or will it be our concentrated Energy Ball Camerupt?

Perhaps it will be our "flying" (yeah, right!) Levitate Probopass?

It just might even be our somewhat clueless Unaware Registeel!

audino-mega.gif
+ Simple
, thanks to their Vice President, Dilasc!
camerupt-mega.gif
+ Energy Ball, with their Vice President, Recreant!
probopass.gif
+ Levitate, who gained their wings from their Vice President, Isa Simple
registeel.gif
+ Unaware, who must have forgotten a Vice President!

IN my entirely unbiased opinion this does not look like a very appealing slate to me. Energy Ball grants only slightly extra coverage and doesn't solve any of the problems Mega Camerupt actually has that keeps it down and is literally just a better HP Grass which is run anyway so this is nothing new (sorry I keep shitting on your suggestions Recreant :c), and Levitate seems one of the most mindless buffs since giving Regigigas any ability.
Unaware Registeel and Simple Audino, tho... just like the last few slates it seems there's just two big outstanders to me and two... uh... you-go-to-the-corner-whatever suggestions that give them no competition. Simple Audino for the... simple fact that it actually gives it a niche to make sure it's not just shitfable and actually outclasses one of her sets with Calm Mind, which really, is all this exists for and may be the one knock against it in that it's very one-dimensional (unless this gets swords dance... topfuckinglel). Unfortunately it has to rely on Dazzling Gleam for it's STAB aside from maybe Hyper Voice and the defensive typing is still a bit eh, and this may even still be a worse Mega Sableye in terms of calm minding, but it's interesting to me to see where this goes.
Unaware Registeel seems interesting to me but I'm very biased in that I don't like new abilities being given where it hardly fits and it's part of a trio where the ability is the exact same. In terms of actual competitive viability tho, this thing's insane defensive stats make it a hard stop to swords dancers and stuff of course while being able to T-wave them in their tracks. Hell,
252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Charizard X Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Registeel: 284-336 (78 - 92.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
This is a thing. It's a relatively unimpressive thing but it's a thing. Mega Gallade's only going to have hell with it and in general it'll keep the sweepers at bay. Liking it, but defensive typing could be a bit of a deteriment than a boon due to most sweepers carrying Fire, Fighting or Ground moves.

Energy Ball Camerupt

252+ SpA Sheer Force Camerupt Energy Ball vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Rotom-W: 286-338 (94 - 111.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Its only reliable switch-in in offense now get wrecked.

I see this being the closest vote we have, or at least the hardest to decide which is the best.

Simple M-Audino is looking pretty cool. It now has a pretty nice niche over Clefable as a Fairy type wall, with being able to get a Nasty Plot and Amnesia in one turn. Its typing could be better, but at least it is no longer weak to Fighting, has great immunities in Dragon and Ghost, both of which are pretty common, and gets Fairy STAB, which is always nice. Though, Simple Calm Mind may be the only thing keeping it niche, as Clefable is better in every other way, with reliable recovery, pure Fairy typing, Magic Guard, Unaware, and Stored Power, which would make Simple Audino pretty sick.

Energy Ball Mega Camerupt says fuck Rotom-W, and I think that's about it. Anything Energy Ball hits other than Rotom, Fire Blast or Earth Power hits almost as hard. Though, I guess in PU you no longer need to run Flash Cannon(lol)

Levitate Probopass is probably going to get my vote, unless someone convinces me otherwise. Rock/Steel with Levitate gets rid of its Ground weakness, which is key, which allows it to wall non-Superpower Lando-Ts, Gliscors, Garchomps, Mamoswines, and Diggersby. Though you are going to need HP Ice to completely beat them. And it is also a nice pivot with access to Volt Switch. It can also switch into any status, as it is immune to Toxic, burn doesn't affect its special attack, which is what you should be using, paralyzing a slow Pokemon isn't really going to get you anywhere, sleep doesn't stop it from being very bulky, and freeze is for pussies, so it doesn't count. The only thing holding this thing back is no reliable recovery, which sucks.

Unaware Registeel is interesting, probably going to be first or second place, maybe third if M-Camerupt really destroys with Energy Ball, but yeah. I can't think off the top of my head what Unaware Registeel stops in OU, so feel free to remind me.

Nerd
Stop hating on me
I just wanted to say that you may have noticed a theme with my suggestions. They're all Fire type Pokemon, and I intend to keep it this way for as long as possible. It's not easy to thing of good ideas when I'm focusing on one thing lol
The thing with Camerupt is its safest switch in is Rotom-W (and to an extent, Azu). HP Grass avoids the OHKO (or even close to it), which means Rotom can outspeed and KO it back. Now, screw that. Nothing is safe anymore. Energy Ball is also boosted by Sheer Force. HP Grass is horribly weak compared to it (I'd do some calcs but I'm on my mobile). Every time Camerupt comes in, something dies. It may be slow, but under a Trick Room there is literally nothing that can safely switch in. This also means you're able to run another Hidden Power if you really need to, but Camerupt's great STABs say otherwise.
What are the problems it has? Is it too slow? Trick Room, and it also gets Rock Polish if you really want to get into it. Bulk? Lol it's actually pretty bulky after it Mega Evolves. It can eat up hits pretty nicely if it wants to. Its typing? It's typing is actually pretty good if you ignore the Water weakness (which now you can!), and it has pretty much unresisted STABs that hit like an absolute truck. It's biggest problem is the lack of reliable recovery. Maybe Slack Off would have been a better choice, but just use something with Healing Wish and you're all good. I guess Chansey still gives it problems, but that's one thing that barely stops it. My idea is a focused one, but Trick Room teams will appretiate the extra support. I'm not saying it's a fantastic idea, but it sure helps. (It's better than Probopass lol)

Other opinions:
Simple Audino - Swoobat lol
I wouldn't say it completely outclasses Clefable, since Fable has Unaware, meaning opponents can't boost up with you, and it also has Moonblast over Dazzling Gleam. That may not seem like much, but the damage difference is evident. I thing Audino might be better if Greninja gets banned, so it wouldn't have to worry about Gunk Shot. Seems pretty interesting, but I'm not a fan since I just don't like Audino as much to begin with. It really is bad that it wastes your Mega Slot, which can be used for something more helpful. I mean, simple Calm Midn is powerful, but you can really slap Simple on anything that has Calm Mind and call it a day. Cresselia? Simple. (Holy crap that one is actually good.) Clefable? Simple. See my problem? Not to mention that any drops it gets as well will be doubled. It's a double edge spears that I'm not a fan of.

Levitate Probowhatever- no
Still really outclassed, and I really see no reason in using it. Doesn't it get Magnet Pull? Isn't that better anyways? I have no idea what this thing even is so I can't say too much.
Plus it's literally ugly as shit

Unaware Registeel - Kinda cool, but I don't like Steel as a defensive typing anyways, since it's weak to a lot of common attacking types like Fire and Ground, and Char X just plan beats it outright, but it's kinda cool that it can't be Toxic'd, so it's kinda a better Quagsire in a way. Actually, no, scratch that. It's a worse Quagsire. Quag has a better typing, reliable Recovery and isn't complete Taunt bait because of Scald. Still not that much of a fan tbh. I think something like Heatproof would have been much cooler, especially considering Unaware makes little to no sense in the long run, since it's pretty smart in the movies, and I hate the fact that it's breaking away from the trio like Kurona said.

Sorry this is so short and poorly worded. I actually left the area where I had internet for an hour and had all that time to type this up lol. I'm most likely going to be on my mobile for the week since I'm doing a lot of shopping for a New Years party since I can drive now. I'm also celebrating that I got Bioshock, Assassian's Creed and Titanfall, so don't expect me to be on a lot during this lol

Mega Camerupt: I really like this one. Ive used this thing in every tier its available and getting rid of rotom as a safe switch in is massive for this monster. Ive also used plenty of Trick Room teams but I think that TR is just too hard to keep up in OU given how offensive things are and the momentum is so fast. So this will basically be an unstoppable hit and run nuke, other than the pink blobs. How ever I think that this will be really good, its just too boring for my vote. It can hit 2 of its previous checks and thats about it.

Mega Audino: This is another one that I quite like (idk how I made the font smaller and Im freaking out, ok wtf...) That was weird. Moving on, the cool thing about this thing is that is can effectively run a sort of crocune set effectively, while still boosting quite fast. This separates it from a lot of other calm mind abusers who are weak to status like toxic. It has a cool niche but as said it would still probably be out classed by Clefable and Mega Gems, unless it can sweep after 1 simple boosted CM, which I doubt.

Registeel: I think the main thing this guy needs is reliable recovery. Being able to stop a lot of sweeps with thunder wave is good but it will still get wrecked by common threats like excadrill and garchomp. This would also be a really good idea if it had wil-o-wisp as well. I guess it kinda buffs my mega gimmicky toxic stall set of Iron Defence, Amnesia, Rest and Toxic. Basically I think it sounds really good on paper but needs at least one other slight change to be effective.

Probopass: My first time being a Vice President yay! Its tough being Vice President with the hate though :(
Anyway, my ipad is fking around lots as you probs worked out at my mega audino thoughts, so Im just gonna copy and paste what I said to Sun King.

Been playing UU mostly lately so I'm not sure how many Landorus-Ts are running Super Power now days, but the Lando T usage set on the calculator is completely cock blocked by Levitate Probopass.

4 Atk Landorus-T Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Probopass: 36-43 (11.1 - 13.2%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Latios without Surf is on a similar boat, with Draco Meteor being a possible 5HKO after lefties. Mega Altaria is completely walled. As is Mega Pinsir and Mega Beedrill. Dragonite has a possible chance to 5HKO after lefties with Outrage. Mega Glalie is walled ehh. Mega Pidgeot. I could list more but I just remembered you probably only care about the things that it can wall or check thanks to Levitate. So here goes.

As for Garchomp:

252 Atk Garchomp Outrage vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Probopass: 72-84 (22.2 - 25.9%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

4 SpA Probopass Flash Cannon vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Garchomp: 79-94 (22 - 26.2%) -- 9.3% chance to 4HKO

So new things it can take include:
Garchomp, Zygarde, DD Mega Altaria with EQ, Mega Pinsir with EQ, Mega Beedrill with Drill Run, Dragonite with EQ, Landorus-T without Fighting Coverage, Mega Diancie, Diggersby, Mamoswine, Rhyperior, Dugtrio.
All of these who can be paralyzed do not appreciate it at all, and these who can't be paralyzed are usually taken 1v1 with Flash Cannon.
There is likely more things that I've missed that run Earthquake or Earth Power that this thing walls and you can't overlook the other OU threats this walls without levitate.

A set of Stealth Rocks, Thunder Wave, Flash Cannon and Volt Switch should fit quite nicely I think.

May I ask what outclasses Levitate Probopass?

69th post lol

Air Balloon Excadrill and Lando-T. Both are far better Stealth Rockers that actually have offensive presence.
Not to mention that Air Balloon Mold Breaker Exca completely fucks over Probo, since it carries, like Earth Power/ SR / volt Switch / Filler right? M-Sableye also gives it huge issues. It kinda has a Fortress syndrome. It's ok, but so poorly outclassed that t doesn't deserve a spot.
Correct me if I'm wrong but what Probo does is set up SR right? Not too used to this thing.

Air Balloon Excadrill loses its immunity once it takes a hit, Levitate Probopass has it for the entire battle. Plus, Probopass can get switch advantage with Volt Switch, while Excadrill just hopes it predicts correctly. And Landros-Therian doesn't really outclass Probopass. They set up rocks, are set to wall things, and can get switch advantage, but that's it.
And Probopass usually runs STAB/SR/VoltSwitch/Filler. And Excadrill and Landorus-T don't wall Diggersby, or Mamoswine, or Garchomp. Probopass with Levitate has this advantage over them, and its not like walling those things are easy.
