Hi I'm just saying but the very first thread by alexwolf almost completely disregarded flavor except for very rare cases so let's hush up with the discussion on that, please.

i.e. i mean if you're using flavor as a reason to why you're against something pls be quiet
 
Pidgeot is weird flavor wise, I'm picturing a thorny bird.... it would be really nice though since it has two slots for utility moves. High speed and ability to force switches on things like gallade and ferrothorn give it opportunities to set up spikes and u-turn on the switch in.

Spikes for Pidgeot isn't that Farfetch'd, it isn't too hard to imagine Pidgeot just carrying them and dropping them. You could also go with it swallowing the spikes and regurgitating them later (painful, but with Pokemon logic maybe it could cough them up without hurting itself)

I'll be honest, I'm torn(adus) between Moxie Weavile and Sand Rush Cacturne. With Moxie Weavile, we have an extremely good late-game cleaner, a Pursuit user that has extra power after trapping a foe, and a revenge killer that can stick around, all in one package. On the other hand, we have what could support sand teams really well, acting as a Water-type check, as well as a way to cripple a wall if using a Choice Band/Specs + Switcheroo combo. I really like how Moxie Weavile's offensive presence could get really good, but there's also something charming about Sand Rush Cacturne, possibly because it brings something unique, as well as something good, to the table.

But at the end of the day, I'm gonna have to vote for Moxie Weavile, but I'll hopefully get to see Sand Rush Cacturne in the second place round.
 
Definitely agree with a ban on flavor discussion, the council already factors in flavor for the slates so its not only unnecessary but redundant.

Pidgeot + Spikes
Looks like a great way to buff Pidgeot without going with the obvious Focus Blast.
 
Weavile + Moxie Cacturne + Sand Rush
Changed my vote. Always lift the NU mons first, and Cacturne really helps Sand a lot.

Weavile claims that he just wants to keep his streets clean. However, what this truly entails is waiting until others have beaten innocent pokes senseless so that he can come in and take them down when they're at their lowest. Can you live with the knowledge that such a cold-hearted weasel is getting your support?

Pidgeot, the supposed savior, says that he only wants to take his followers under his wing. However, for those who don't accept his farfetch'ed philosophies, they are met with nothing more than layers of layers of needless hazards if they should have the audacity to enter his territory. Is the road to OU freedom not rocky enough without his influence?

Zebstrika gives an image of a fun and playful mon. However, he wants nothing more than to seize your assets and convert them to excess electricity just to fuel his drive for conquest. Worst of all, instead of facing complaints head-on, he just sends a proxy to deal with your assaults. What seems like a clean energy candidate is nothing but a power-hungry coward.

At this point, you must be asking yourself: who can be trusted? Look no further than the man in green. He may seem as huggable as a Grinch, he can promise you one thing: when at every turn you feel even more weathered and beaten, when it feels like dirt is being slung at you without cause, he'll rush to your aid faster than a speeding Talonflame!

I personally think I'll pick Sand Rush Cacturne

For me, it was between him and Weavile, but Weavile already finds himself usable in the OU environment. Both Pokemon would be improved TO the same level in their roles I'd say (at least in so far as you could compare them), but I think in terms of where they come FROM, Cacturne deserves it more, and also is a more interesting toy.
