Dishing out strong attacks but not taking them well, Toxtricity is the definition of a glass cannon. Nonetheless, it is seeing great success on the OLT ladder as a fierce wallbreaker on offensive teams. Its powerful Punk Rock-boosted Overdrive and Boomburst can tear through many defensive cores alike. Drain Punch enables Toxtricity to overcome Excadrill, Tyranitar, and Blissey; breaking the latter allows for it to pose a massive threat to stall teams. Shift Gear allows Toxtricity to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame, turning it into a major threat to defensive and offensive teams alike, and boosts the power of Drain Punch, enabling it to take out Excadrill in one shot. Dragapult, Rhyperior, and Soundproof Kommo-o are able to take Toxtricity's attacks fairly well and threaten it back, so Pokemon that are able to deal with them like Primarina make for suitable partners. Rillaboom can deal with Rhyperior too, provides Grassy Terrain support, and can clean up after Toxtricity with Grassy Glide.
