Zarude @ Leftovers
Ability: Leaf Guard
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Power Whip
- Synthesis

Deep into the jungles, what could it possibly be? Zarude is swinging into the metagame! Zarude becomes a niche setup sweeper and late-game cleaner, utilizing its decent STAB combination, bulk, longevity, and Speed. Boosting its offense with Swords Dance and dual STAB moves in Knock Off and Power Whip, it can hit almost the entire tier, shredding Gholdengo, Ting-Lu, Alomomola, and Pecharunt while still overwhelming neutral walls like Corviknight and Clefable. Its ability to Tera defensively gives it a big selling point over its competitor, Ogerpon; Tera Poison provides Zarude an immunity to Toxic from Gliscor and Pecharunt while flipping its 4x Bug weakness and resisting the STAB moves of Iron Valiant and Zamazenta. Zarude finds a good place on offense and bulky offense teams. Entry hazard setters like Gliscor and Great Tusk excel as partners, chipping switch-ins and taking U-turns at the same time, while Great Tusk provides entry hazard removal to keep Zarude healthy. Gholdengo also makes for an excellent partner for Zarude, helping check the Fighting- and Fairy-types like Zamazenta, Enamorus, and Galarian Weezing that it would otherwise struggle with.

Zarude becomes a niche setup sweeper and late-game cleaner utilizing its decent STAB combination, bulk, longevity, and speed. Boosting its offense with Swords Dance and dual STAB moves in Knock Off and Power Whip, it can hit almost the entire tier for neutral, shredding Gholdengo, Ting-Lu, Alomomola, and Pecharunt while still overwhelming neutral walls like Corviknight and Clefable. Synthesis provides much-needed longevity to Zarude, which will enter the field multiple times considering its entry hazard weakness if not running Heavy-Duty Boots. (decently covered by mentioning 'longevity' in the beginning as one of zarude's main selling point and saving up on character count) (an important thing i want you to emphasize is its ability to defensive tera as it gives zarude a big selling point over its competition in ogerpon, which from there you can mention what tera poison lets it do) Tera Poison allows Zarude to flip its terrible 4x Bug weakness, while resisting the STAB moves of Iron Valiant and Zamazenta, while also providing a immunity to Toxic. (move this to the front part due to its significance, and mention examples of mons that would toxic you otherwise) Zarude finds a good place on offense and bulky offense sun teams (sun is technically covered under offense and for the purpose of this spotlight, we can just focus on its place in BO/offense, as it generally prefers the life orb + solar blade set on sun) that benefit from Zarude to set up and clean once the team has been weakened with no checks remaining to it. Entry hazard setters like Gliscor and Great Tusk excel as partners, chipping switch-ins and taking U-turns at the same time. (mention tusk also providing removal) Gholdengo also makes for an excellent partner for Zarude, to help check the Fighting and Fairy-types like Zamazenta, Enamorus and Weezing-Galar that it would otherwise struggle with.

my changes look like a lot but they're mostly just nitpicks, as this is already very well-written. let me know once this is implemented and i'll take a look at it again
