paraflinch OU RMT

This Is my first rate my team. This team is a testament to the efectivness of stall. It is based on paralasys and flinch, but quite onistly paralysis can do the job allmost by it self. So far this team has been highly effective for me, but be warend. I have been sworn at many times when playing this set, I have been accused of hax, and I have had lady luck turn on me. In conclusion if you like stalling effectivly, or just like pissing people off, this is a great set to play with. Changes will go in bold.Changes over changes (not replacing changes) will be in red.

200px-385Jirachi.png

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 80 HP/252 Atk/176 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Iron Head
- Trick
- U-turn
- Body Slam

Jirachi is my favorite lead, but since it doesn't get stealth rocks up often I decided it wont. Instead I put on body slam for paralysis. One of my flincher that love late game sweeping and stalling with extra damage chiping at the opponent.

Lead analysis

azelf/areodactyle-One of Jirachi's strong points, iron head away hope for the 60% flinch.

smeargle/roserade-I have been just iron heading, but u-turning to roserade/starmie and then swicthing once you've goten slept to the other is probably smarter.

infernape-I u-turn after the flinch to starmei they get scared and I thunder wave. An alternitive is to switch on the fake out but then the focus sash isn't broken.

swampert-I just like to u-turn into Togekiss, but you can trick and then u-turn If you hate them, but you will lose a bundle of hp.

Metagross-You have 2 option's, the later probably the better, u-turn imeadiatly into gliscor hope he's not running explosion and earthquake away. You could also trick then u-turn accordingly

machamp-I find it best to just roll your dice, but you may also could trirk then u-turn into starmie/gliscor/roserade.
here are the iron head calcs
36% jirachi will be unharmed (no confusion)
20% machamp loses 35-40%
26% machamp loses 70-80%
18% jirachi loses 49-58%
Meaning
46% machamp wins
54% jirachi wins
18% jirachi gets confused and win's

Hetran-u-turn to starmie then surf, thunderwave, or rapid spin.

Jirachi-another reason I put in body slam. Slam and hope Jirachi or his Jirachi counter get's paralysed.

nijask-not fun. he double resists u-turn, is faster than me and can set up in my face. I might opt for fire punch, but in the mean time body slam for paralysis or if your feeling he doesn't have protect, trick him. Also If you feel he does have protect you can switch to gliscor.

Gliscor-I have never seen a gliscor lead, but I suppose you would u-turn to your own gliscor and hope to win the speed tie, or to starmie to thereaten it.

Tyranitar-another not so common lead that is at your mercy iron head it for the 2HKO or u-turn to starmie/gliscor/roserade If you feel theretend.(pereferably gliscor)

starmie-a non-existent lead, but in case you run into one u-turn and If it stays in it should attack first if scarfed. togekiss is the best u-turn option.

"phew" lot's of leads, but onto are other flincher

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP/240 Def/16 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Air Slash
- thunder wave
- Nasty Plot
- Roost

My better speacil wall. I can't believe how easy it is to exploit these imunity's and set up in someone's face (mixpert,scarfgar,subgar...). My main ground paralyser one of my stall breakers. You can nasty plot off of most things and you become quite a force to be reckoned with. I would rather have a better method of paralysis such as thunder wave.

180px-248Tyranitar.png

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 160 HP/252 Atk/96 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Aqua Tail

tyranitar is my force full wall breaker, cleric trapper, and paralysis support sweeper. I have been wanting to run tyranitar for a while, but his horrible typing really is a problem. He kills ghosts and clerics pretty much no matter what. It's scary when the power of a choice band tyranitar is faster than you. The Permanent sandstorm really takes a toll on whatever your stalling against. This makes jirachi even quiker to were down your opponent. Aqua tail and crunch should probably be swiched out for better coverage.

I have been thinking about mabey subing ttar for a hippodowdon. It would be an all over wall with body slam/roar/slak off/stokpile. It would be used to scout the opponent's team while causing wide spread paralysis. I would also need a pursuiter to kill any clerics they have.

170px-121Starmie.png

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 136 HP/156 Def/216 Spd
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Surf
- Thunder Wave

Oh starmie. Such a good pokemon, forcing out a lot of pokemon, able to support and tank. The teams rapid spiner, I'm pretty sure I have this out on the feild most of the time. It can scare pretty much any thing out and nobody but grounds like thunderwave and no grounds like to switch into starmie. Thunderwave eliminates pretty much every starmie counter execpt jolteon and electrivire(which I've never actualy seen). For jolteon gliscor/togekiss are probably your best switch ins. Electrive is owend by gliscor as log as it isn't carrying hp ice/ice puch, even if he has an ice attack unless he got mtor drive then gliscor out speeds him and OKHOs with earth quake, but togekiss can switch in. Starmie is very weak to pursuit itself making thunderwaveing pursuiters on the switch very valuable. Starmie dominates on this team just don't be afraid to spam thunder wave because it owns most potential counter.

Roserade (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/120 Spd/136 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Stun Spore
- Spikes
- Grass Knot
- Rest

Celebi was for gotten In favor of Roserade. The ability to stall with starmie, set set up spikes and hit every thing for paralysis Replaced better stats and leaf storm. This set provides less power but still enough to scare away any grounds. When some thing is paralyzed it is scary a how much this can scare off. With this set though you need even more prediction, because you have to know when to spike and when to stun spore. rest is very fast recovery but I might take it out considering it give them a safe switch.

200px-472Gliscor.png

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Taunt
- Roost
- U-turn

Gliscor fills the holes in my team very well. He is an excelent wall breaker and overall good team player. He takes a lot from the phisical side and is abel too get himself out of jams. He blocks alot of counter's to team rest of the team. I really don't get why gliscor is so effective I quite honestly chose him for his typing, but he is great glue for the team.

I must note that I am very sorry I could not find space for dunsparce on this team. I know how asome it is. It lead my NU team, and when I bring it into OU it rips through teams who don't expect it.

On a more relevent path there are a few thing's that I couldn't do but I would like to see on my team.
-entry hazards-stealth rock + spikes + toxic spikes (JK)
-less problems with bug and ice (and just less in general)
-less general EV spreads (I really don't where to start when making my own)

The threat list may come but I don't log my battles often, and it's harder said than done.

I am open to all types of constructive critisism. Whether this means a move change suggestion, or a complete pokemon switch. I will try to test all suggestions. You can tell me my team is crap as long as you can give me a better paraflinch team.

Please feel free to test and use this team you should be able to download it here, or here if the link is broken.

Test list
tri attack togekiss
parfusionflinch Rotom S

I would go with this set for Togekiss:

Togekiss@Leftovers
Calm Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 240 Def, 16 Spe

-Air Slash
-Aura Sphere
-Thunder Wave
-Roost

This is a much better set for flinch support and can take an assault of attacks from both sides. The evs are maximized to take minimum damage.

I disagree with Tosh. The moveset should be:
- Air Slash
- Tri Attack
- Nasty Plot
- Roost
Tri Attack is a pain espically with the chance to Freeze, Burn, and Para the incoming pokemon. Nasty Plot is very very helpful for being able to potentialy sweeping their team, which Togekiss seems to do anyway... but it does allow you to deal with blissey a lot easier.

I used a Jirachi lead before, but I used a very different Rachi that checked all of the common leads. Check it out, link in Signature.

For a ParaHax team, it not too based on pokemon using T-Wave or FlinchHax, Hax is basically the offical term for relying on Flinching for a victory. I don't using FlinchHax teams, but I suggest using a Rotom-s. It has air slash, and I'm pretty sure theirs a set for it too.

Might I ask what the 16 speed evs are for.
I'm testing this with a roserade so results might be mixed.
here is the roserade I will be using.
Roserade (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/120 Spd/136 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Stun Spore
- Spikes
- Grass Knot
- Rest

Oh I'm trying thunder wave nasty plot because that seems the better option but tri attack will also be tested, but It only has about a 40% chance to status. I'm assuming your talking about replacing gliscor with rotom?

I started testing The rotom s, but I found that since ttar and jirachi were the only ones who had a sand storm immunity it was to hard on my stallers to have sand storm out.
For tis reason I'm also looking for a new choice band pursuiter. ttars power was a real benefit especially late game when he was faster than every one.
I'm thinking maybe scizor but it doesn't quite have the power I want
Tri attack is illegal with nasty plot so unless I get another booster I am not really able to test it that effectively.
