I want to build a team around my new pet project, a parafusion pain-split rotom @ focus sash. I'm gonna keep the team UU, even though I think this specific rotom could be fun in OU.
so we start with rotom @ focus sash. timid nature, 252 speed+sp.atk. 0 IVs in hp, sp.d and def. he looks like this:
Pain Split
Confuse Ray
Thunder Wave
Shadow Ball
we can all recognize how irritating this could be. pain splitting from 1hp to full hp and crippling fast opponents, causing switches and wreaking havoc. the biggest weaknesses to this gimmick being hail/sandstorm and stealth rock. so we need:
ambipom lead!
jolly/technician @ life orb/silk scarf
252 atk, speed.
fake-out
double-hit
u-turn
taunt
keep those rocks off the field, little guy. and for hail/sandstorm, I'm bringing....
L/O sunny day charizard!
timid nature, 252 sp atk and speed.
fire blast
solar beam
air slash
sunny day
setup sunny day when they switch to bellyzard counter. try your best to sweep or flee if the situation is not in your favor. I picked air slash over dragon pulse because it hits just as hard against most enemies, and can flinch. I use life orb because it accelerates blaze, gives extra umph and it's not like he's gonna be out there very long anyway.
zard hates rocks more than rotom and I like using a scyther, and even though taunt lead helps keep the rocks off the field, a spinner would be nice insurance...
donphan is next!
252 hp/def, 4 atk
impish @ leftovers
earthquake
ice shard/stone edge
rapid spin
stealth rocks
spins rocks away, sets up his own. I don't think I need ice shard in UU, so stone edge will probably be better.
my other sweeper, scyther!
jolly/technician @ choice band
252 speed, atk.
u-turn
aerial ace
brick break
pursuit
great set. I'm thinking of switching to bug bite (removing U-Turn) and life orb. one of my favorite sweepers.
and finally, my untested choice-scarf gardevoir!
undecided on evs and nature, maybe you can help me out on that, but she'll be runnin...
destiny bond
psychic
focus blast
t-bolt/shadow ball
does her best as a special attacker, and when at low health, bring her out one last time for a surprise destiny bond. O NO U DED!! TROLLAN LOL!!
other UUable pokemon in my stall you could recommend:
CB Slaking
CB Absol
technician-priority Hitmontop
mixed Nidoking
curse Steelix (another favorite of mine. I run curse/gyroball/EQ/swagger on him, but I could replace something for SR)
or, you can recommend a poke not listed for me to train, if you feel like it's a good fit! I don't have a dual screener, which I've always considered... maybe claydol with rapid-spin/reflect/light screen/explosion?
